I need help rooting my sgs 2.3.6 baseband XXJVT
I am unable to insert picture because I am new here :-(
I have tried SuperOneClick, Gingerbreak.apk, Z4Root, and I am left with no other options.

for rooting your i9000, you need ODIN software and CFRoot Kernel for example.
use search option

can someone help me figure out how to root i9000 2.2 rom. i want to know how to get or make the i9000 kernel for each rom. ex: jpc rom has a i9000jpc kernel.

to root flash a rooting kernel or tegrak kernel BUT you need to upgrade your ROM to Gingerbread WF07, as your current ROM and baseband are obsolete

Hi! A frriend of mine wants to install JB 4.2.2 and asked me to help me..I'm reading the forum and threads for 4-5 hours and i can't figure it out. There is a philz kernel method but that is only for 4.0.3 and above.
May be try one of the rooting apps like framaroot or similar apps.
