I posted a few pics of this case in some other threads but after a few days with the case i feel its needs its own thread. This case is an awesome case. I purchased it for $40 at an at&t store and replaced my sprint bodyglove with it. The cas3 feels better in my hand then the bodyglove. It definitely feels like it would protect better if i drop it. It fits very good nice and tight. It has a really nice gloss finish and the kickstand really comes in handy when my sons watching movies. I was gona get the otterbox commuter but im liking this case so much i think this ones a keeper. I highly reccomend this case

Thanks for the quick review! I was hoping to get this case as well. I had it for my Galaxy S2 way back when (I won it online, hehe) and absolutely fell in love with it.
I don't understand why Case Mate says they weren't going to make this case, and it's already for sale, just not on their website. Exclusivity? I don't know... Lame!
I hope speck comes out with the Pixel HD case, I loved it
I bought this case today at att. I also just got my phone today.
So odd, after putting the case on my phone acts weird now. It powers off randomly and shuts off when I unplug it from a charge (occasionally)

Hmmm so far i havent had any issues. Also i had this case for my s3 bc like now it was the only good case that seem to be instock when the phone 1st came out and also just like now i had to buy it from an at&t store. But once the s3 was out for about a month as we all know every company was pumping out cases and i was switching cases every week. Ended up with an atomic green commuter but was about to go back to the casemate then i sold my s3. Its an awesome case

Have been using the very same case for almost two weeks now, and so far it's been the best case for me. I gave away the seidio surface to the at&t store, and a couple of eBay cases, since this pop will be a daily driver for the near future. If only they made the same in black, I'd switch...

I like the Pop Case as well. I had it for the GS2, GS3 and now the Note 2. It's very solid for protection and there is enough edge covered to protect the phone when it is turned face down. My favorite things about the case is the grip. It's enough to securely hold the phone and not too much that you have to battle to take it out of your pocket. The power and volume buttons are covered just right as far as no accidental presses while still being easy to press.
I don't use the kickstand too much but it could be made more solid as the hinge feels very fragile. It does work however in both portrait or landscape placement.

It's also worth mentioning that, unlike most cases like it (at least the ones I've seen), the rubber edge sits perfectly around the edge and does not touch the glass. And it is completely solid and does not move at all, so there is no accidentally slipping it off and loosing protection.

I advise people to stop waiting around for CERTAIN cases to be made and bumpers to become available. Get a case on your phone ASAP to avoid being a statistic in the crack phone category.

I have the S-line TPU case which I really don't want. I already scratched the chrome bezel a little bit, unknowingly, so I had to settle for the S-line from Ebay. It costs a few bucks but it works very well, I just wished they made cutouts for the power and volume.

Exactly I ordered my case prior to getting my phone. Even though I still had to walk around with my phone with no case for about a week and some change. The case had extremely slow shipping so I had to baby my phone and I still manage to scratch the chrome This phone is a work of art.
I have an s-line too. Does the job, and I've always had tpu cases on my phones so no big deal to me far as hiding the phone's beauty.

phone and s-line tpu case arrived on the same day, still waiting for screen protector, keep original plastic on, back to google when replacement arrives. So far no scratches no cracks. I want to attach a hand strap to the tpu case. Also looking for a tactical nylon holster large enough to fit n4 with this tpu case but also a ballistic case if i get one in the future. Don't see any good ones online. Local stores don't even have cheap leather belt clip holsters for phones this size.
Whats wrong with the s line tpu case? I'm using it and love it. It is thin though...

You might never drop your phone or you might drop it many times. But accidents do happen, it's life. Just because you try to prevent something from happening doesn't mean it will.
Never used a case or screen protector, never will. All my phones still look mint. I will try a bumper when those come in to see if I like that as this is the first time I've got a glass back and I'd rather not scratch it setting it down on some grains of sand unknowingly.
This is also why I buy square trade warranty, so I can enjoy using my phone without crap all over it.

I am just using a front and back skin to protect the glass from scratches. The official bumper is the only case I've used and it adds too much girth to the phone for me (I think it actually increased my chances of dropping the phone). If I do drop it... I'll deal. This phone is just too nice to hold as is. Case-less for me.

It's worth getting this phone protected
I've never used a case protector for any smartphone I've owned, and have always accepted the fact that there will be scratches. However, I've just taken my N4 out of my jacket pocket to find a large shatter on the back glass. Wasn't dropped or bashed or anything, I've no idea how it happened. Although the glass back looks cool, it's frankly a ludicrous design, and as well as being a potential scratch magnet, it's also so slippery that it slides off anything that isn't totally horizontal. It's now going to LG for repair, sadly not covered by the warranty. I hate to think what it's going to cost, so I would really advise people to get some kind of protection for their handset!

Pouches are the way to go (to avoid sand particles in your pocket). Skin protectors, bumpers and the like are all just nuisances.
I say enjoy just enjoy the phone given the price. It's not like you paid $700 for it.
First Im sorry if this has been asked before but anyone tried sweet armor yet? If so, will it work with the Mugen Extended Battery? Thanks =)
http://www.thesweetarmor.com/en/13-sweet-armor-gnote-2
looks awesome but expensive for just a bumper.
It looks nice- though definitely a little pricey. Also looks a little bulky in the back? Maybe it's the images.
Coming from (SGS3 Galaxy S3) - new Note 2 owner
I've tried similar bumper for SGS3 - there is issues of the thing being heavy and adding to the weight of the device.
If the bumper makers had sense - they'd focus on the fit and adding protection - not adding looks/ metal and finish.
Now with extended batteries - the bumpers are a tough fit. Of the several I tried for the SGS3 only one fit.
If anyone knows better please post.
I have the Sweet Armor but no extended battery.

Looks good...but aluminum will dent if dropped so drop the phone your phone might be protected but you need to get a new case
Looks great, too expensive though.
Wow 70$. But i don't need an extra Note 2, I just want the bumper
Ihave a cheap metal bumper with my extended battery. You shouldnt have to worry about denting it but it will reduce signal and gps performance. Im going to mod it and see if I can remedy the issue. The one I bought was only 10 $ but doesnt screw together. I think the screw together versions are better. You should be able to find a cheap Chinese knock off sweet armor on ebay soon enough.
I had a sweet armor bumper and the mugen extended for the GNote 1 and they both fit perfectly, hence i asked =) It is indeed a little pricey so it will depend on personal preference, i guess. I have tried cheaper bumpers for the note 1 and none of them look as good as the sweet armor. Of course i understand some would prefer cheaper bumpers but this one has awesome look and finish. The sweet armor on my Note 1 still look as good today as it was on day 1 when i got it. Admitedly, I haven't dropped my Note 1 (thank god) so i cant say too much about the durability though. Not sure about the cheaper bumpers (i havent used them long enough) but definitely no dents/scratches from everyday wear and tear for this one though.
The only problem i had with the Note1 sweet armor though is that i lost a screw once and i had to replace it (it came with 5 extra screws btw) but that was my own negligence (prob a loose screw), never lost another screw after the first one til today =) the fit was awesome for my Note1, never had a reception problem (or not bad enough for me to notice at least). The extra weight wasnt a problem for me (I use a Note1 with the extended battery remember) but i'd think it wont add too much weight to a standard GNote. Just removed the bumper from my note1, and saw no scratch (from the bumper) on the sides of the phone.
PS: I went ahead and ordered one today and already got my shipping confirmation few hours later. I will try to update here with pics when it arrives. If it doesnt fit my mugen extended then i guess i will use it when im using the standard battery (I usually switch extended/standard battery depending on my need at the time). It will take a while cause i was being cheap and chose the cheaper shipping option.
Okay just got my bumper in the mail today. Fits perfect even with the mugen extended. Quality is awesome. Only complain I have is the side buttons feel a little loose, no biggie. And of course a lil too pricey. Comes with 3 extra buttons and five screws, loving it. It looks awesome =)

I would love to buy several if they are of the same quality. Could you provide a link where these are available for $10 please?
UPDATE: Saw the other thread you participated in about aluminum bumpers and I see what bumpers you're referring to. While they look nice, you get what you pay for. I tried one of those and the quality is MUCH lower than the Sweet Armor. It is lighter, thinner, and scratches the GN2 easily. I believe in paying for quality if it can be had and the SA is worth it IMO.
No offense to those who bought the $10 eBay bumpers though.

I had the SA on my SII, it was sweet but pricey. After I sold my SII to get the Note, I gave the $10 bumper a go for a cheaper bumper look. Unfortunately, it messed up my Note. Plastic started chipping off between the screen and bezel.
Cons: Flimsy built, one time it slipped about half a feet high (in account with the weight of phone). The frame wasn't in the best of shape anymore. Unsatisfying premium look, actually made my phone look cheap. Tight slider, which cause plastic area to chip off over time and possible scratches to screen protector or phone if your not careful.
Pros: Cheap, easily replaceable. (provided not parts/accessory of your phone that needs replacement caused by the bumper)
Imho, you get what you paid for and I paid more. But kudos to those who had no problem with their bumpers. On my Note II, It's just sad case if I had to go thru it again, that's why I'm going back to SA
I had one of my Galaxy S1. Well made piece of kit but I ultimately didnt like the feel in the hand and was dubious about the shock protection (on that version there were only a few little thin foam strips inside the bezel.

Today I got the Pt casebfrom best buy. I paid $34 for it. I got mine in black. The fit and finish is very good. It has a kick stand and a nice sturdy belt holster. This case appeaes to be modeled after (or the same just re branded) sedio surface case. The case fits on the phone very nice and looks good. It comes in blue or black. It has a smooth feel to it but is less slipery than the naked note. It has the perfect amount of room under the top lip as to not interfer with a screen protector (I have my zagg invisisheild) now to the pros and cons
Pros:
Reasonable price
Good fit and finish
Kick stand
Wont interfer with screen protectors
Nice holster
Doesnt add much bulk
Precise cut outs.
Cons:
Nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get of the first few times
Can get slightly slipery if it gets moist
If you put a finger under the phone by the changing port, the cut out is a tad sharp (fixed by just using some fine grit sandpaper)

Otteebox. Is the way to go. Have dropped my phone plenty of times. Glad I have this case way stronger than UAG. Uag does look nicer but I prefer having my phone WEELLLLL protected im sure u do to. Don't just wanr a case because it looks good. Want a case that will protect your phone from a fall.

I have both the commuter and defender cases from Otterbox. Both offer solid protection the defender I like more because of the built in screen protector. Keep in mind that the UAG cases don't offer port covers for the headphone jack and USB port which was a selling point for myself. Another key selling point was the customer service. Can't say anything though about UAG because I haven't bought their case nor dealt with their customer service. When I contacted Otterbox about an issue regarding the commuter cases they sent me a free warranty replacement as well as the defender case free of charge.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Do your homework before you buy. Customer support is important, and a big company like Otterbox has a great one based on the fact they are in every service provider store as well as every Best Buy. But the truth of the matter - they rushed with Note 2 design and FAILED to deliver with Defender. And because they are king-of-the-hill-Otterbox, they didn't even want to admit how poorly they executed design of that screen protector. Read hundreds of posts in XDA or AF, and read all Amazon review comments. EVERYBODY complains about screen protector not being flush with a Note 2 screen, thus being concaved up and leaving a gap in between making it feel like you are using $50 resistive touch screen device. Yes, I bought one from Verizon store, couldn't believe my eyes, called Otterbox and they pretended on the phone like have no idea what I'm talking about, sent me an email with case# to reply back with "pictures" so they can send me a replacement. I went back to Verizon store, and went through every Defender they had in stock - all the same problem with a screen protector. Turned on-line to read everybody having this problem and simply just popping out the plastic screen as soon as they buy it. Why would I want to buy $60 (MSRP price) case to destroy it in order to make it work for me? Furthermore, because of that concave up screen, it creates a suction effect through cutout holes in that screen protector, sucking in more dust that will require you taking case apart periodically to clean it up. Do you think those inner plastic case latches will last that long, with constant taking apart? Oh, and that plastic screen protector was awful with s-pen - leaving marks all over the place. And if you remove plastic screen protector - your inner plastic case fitting is not rigid anymore (read about people suggesting to put a tape inside). Port cover-plugs are great in dust environment, but when you are using your phone as GPS in the car and need it to be plugged in - it will become a huge nuisance, not to mention pressure that micro-usb port cover puts on the connector, in both Defender and Commuter. And with Commuter, I personally found back of the case to be slippery and no grip with a surface when you place it on the smooth table top.
If you read testimonials of people who own UAG and dropped their case numerous times, they walk away without a scratch. UAG design is rugged tough and you get a convenience of a molded single piece case where you don't have to take layers off to get to your battery. If you need a super-duper drop protection case, go with CONVERT which offer multiple layers of protection, all the port coverage INCLUDING camera, has a great kickstand, can be stripped down to SURFACE if you don't need all this extra rugged coverage, and has one of the BEST holsters with a locking spring-loaded latch. Just need to invest in a good regular screen protector, like iSmooth which I also highly recommend (3H hardness, easy install with no bubbles, perfect edge adhesion).
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Otterbox down. Its a great company with a great reputation and TONS of sales. That's how they can afford to have such a great support staff and offer warranty replacement and freebies without breaking their bank. They obviously built their reputation of a quality product delivered for all these other phone models, and have a decent iPhone base support. BUT, with Note 2 they rushed to deliver it to the market, and totally ignored all the negative comments. And this is not just my humble opinion. It's everywhere you read about their Note 2 cases. I tried Commuter a couple of times in Sprint store, and walked away. Bought Defender from Verizon store, exchanged it, and then returned a few days later...
three excellent cases for the delightfully successful Galaxy S2 that will keep your precious safe and sound. Whichever you pick – the dual-layer Case-Mate Tough, the feature-filled Otterbox Commuter or the stylish SGP Ultra Capsule – you can be sure that your smartphone is secure.
