Finally a Game that shows what the Adreno 205 can do

did you guys try, Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD
holy! i was expecting a botched version, but turned out nothing was left out from the iphone 4 version, all the effects, reflections, sun flares are there and the frame rate is flawless
its all thanks to the xperia play, since we have the same processor, we received a good conversion, i heard some SGS users complaining about theirs
i seriously didn't know our desire HD is capable of such things

This game rocks our gpu. i was bored of asphalt 4 because of the steering and mostly the graphic.

I have Asphalt 5 and GT Racing HD.. both are really nice games as well.

I have GT Racing HD too, great game! Got it along with Nova (awesome!) and GangstarMV (terrible) for £1 each when Gameloft were having a Valentines sale.
I will definitely have to check out Asphalt 5 too though!

Can't wait to see more games coming, worth the €2

Gaming performance

Hi all
Recently I was looking at some videos of people playing dungeon hunter 2 on the motorola milestone. One person was using the milestone official 2.2 update and it seems to be blazingly smooth when running dungeon hunter 2. But I'm on froyomod 2.7 and the gameplay isn't smooth. Is this jsut my phone or is it the rom?
Anyone want to help/discuss?

Did you tried to do a Overclock? Im using a CM7 with Overclock 1.2GHz and it work fine when i'm gaming.

Overclocking definitely helps, but the reason why you are probably lagging is due to memory management. Try supercharging your phone by checking out zeppelinrox's supercharging thread in this subforum.

AMM is more of a temporary fix compared to zeppelin's supercharging.

Luca made his own kind of memory management but it isn't like zeppelin's.

There are a couple of ROMs that do now tho.. HO!NO! cm7 and MIUI by eybee1970

I modified every CM7 ROM, apply gaming script from zeppelirox, and here is list of games that i can play (smooth) on my MS:
1. Mordem combat 2.
2. Shadow guardian.
3. Setler HD.
4. Starfont collision HD.
5. Rise of Ayden HD.
6. Gun bros 1.4
7. Contract killer
(these 2 glu games are too heavy for MS).
8. Grave defense HD.
9. Guerilla bob.
10. Fast5 (but lag, look like play a slideshow ^_^).

That's funny because luca doesn't even like FroyoMod's current memory management -which is merely aggressive minfree levels.

It's good! But no multitasking! Battery is good also!

Keun when u say u can play those games smoothly what do u mean. Because when I was on cm7 modern combat didn't even start and it did start on iceandfire (no supercharger but I was using amm at the time) but it was laggy and eternal legacy didn't really work properly. Also on froyomod shadow guardian does work but is really choppy at times (about 1-2fps) whereas other times it works at about 30-60fps. And dungeon hunter 2 doesn't get past 20fps.
But all this time I didn't have zepplin's supercharger. I only used auto memory manager

I use CM7 here, yesterday night I've tried all v6 options to no avail, Gun Bros won't go past loading screen few seconds after I choose a mission.... Game Settings, Agressive Settings, Ballanced, none worked (not that I'm fanatic for the game, never played it, just curious as many people mention this game)... Perhaps CM7 uses more memory anyway and there is not enough memory even using Zeppelinrox scripts... ?

Try the iceandfire 2.XX. that rom is working well for me. I had gun bros on my defy. Its not that great to be honest and did get boring damn quick

Is our processor that bad when compared to Tegra 2 ?:sly:
Because I played subway surfer and I can tell u that my incredible s can't play the game as smooth and fast and responsive as the atrix for example (Tegra 2 device)
I even overclocked my cpu to 1.8 but still there is a drop of frames per second and the game lags like hell
The atrix run the game so smoothly even if it's not clocked at 1 GHz (not over clocked)
I am so disappointed in my device

Tegra is dual core, ours is single core. Ours is also a year older than the tegra. There's no nothing to be disappointed in because our phone is nearly 2 years old, and our processor 2 and a half years

For games try hunterwu kernels. I think, extreme overclocking (1.8) is bad idea. Our processor can work normaly 1-1.4 GHz.

I have had no issues playing games on stock frequenc either. With bother Beast kernel and redux.

you need a
1) rom tool box pro installed
go to > Performance > Memory manager > Presets > and set it to Ultimate then apply..
2) Ram expander
3) Chainfire 3D
4) App Quarantine (to freeze some running services)
100% working!

Settlers HD work on CM9 without Chainfire3D.
Sadly, it doesn't work on my L5 CM10, but probably does on stock ICS.

What are the most impressive looking games and apps currently that really show off the power of the nexus CPU and GPU? It can multitask switching between gta3 and vice city on full settings, my s3 could play both on full settings though not multi task them, really looking to push it to the edge with the top amazing graphics - any suggestions?
Too Bad no one has ported the infinity blade series to android yet they stretch the 4S and iPad 3 to bursting point and the n⁴ is more than twice as capable

carmageddon, lol, this game can discharge from 100% to 0% in 1 hour leaving it iddle, it uses way too much cpu, i would say it has cpu leak

about gta3 vice, i don´t see it smooth on my n4, at max settings it lags bad, and yes, i know being a pc gamer i can notice right away when something is not in 60fps

I currently have the following "CPU / GPU Intensive" games on my phone:
Modern Combat 4
Epoch
Shadow Gun Deadzone
Real Racing
Real Boxing
No lag / throttle, Gets to around 60-65 °C, Multi-tasks like a boss.
I'm using Paranoid Android and Franco Kernel though so maybe that might be a factor.

Dead Trigger is smooth at around 40FPS
Real Racing with the graphics modifier from the Play Store gets a smooth 50-60FPS but that game is terrible
And GTA3 with max graphics gets around 20FPS

Nice this phone is a graphic powerhouse!
