This is my situation now:
My bootloader is 2.00.000(s-on),and I have got my bootloader unlocked from htcdev. but now,I want to use RUU to flash it back,I heard that need a locked(relocked) bootloader. So,I have to relock my bootloader. But it doesn't work when I input "fastboot oem lock" in fastboot. My phone just reboot right away when I entered that command, and it stayed unlocked. What should I do? How can i relock my bootloader? Waiting for you reply! thank you !

So I bought this HTC One M7, the guy claims its soft bricked and hes not able to fix it because hes technically challenged. So I take it home boot it up, its stuck in a boot loop so I boot it into fastboot the bootloader is locked so I try to connect it to adb, no luck, there is no driver on this internet that I have found that will connect to adb. So I resort to fastboot, I "fastboot devices" and sure enough it connects (wicked), first I try to flash recovery, I try to boot recovery, I tried to update zip, no luck in flashing anything because I either get a signature fail or a "remote: not allowed" then I realize my bootloader is locked, I try to unlock it "fastboot oem unlock" and of course I get a "INFO [ERR] command error". I also tried to change my cid to 11111111 and no luck. I have actually tried everything I can think of I cant get s-off to work my recovery is stock as well so theres no possibility of OTG cable plus a usb. My fastboot will not flash anything in fastboot, I cant push any files to the phone, I cant connect to adb, I cant use my recovery. So what in the actual can I do? I think i'm f**ked.
Thank you in advance for anything you can help me with.

You can't use adb unless you're booted to OS or custom recovery. Also you can't unlock bootloader with "fastboot oem unlock" unless your phone is GPE version. For Sense you need unlock token from htcdev. In order to flash anything, you need custom recovery, and you can flash it only if your bootloader is unlocked

can you post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (remove your imei and serialno). Sometimes, reflashing the stock firmware can solve some bootloader unlock problem but I need to know you getvar all before I can tell you which one you should flash.
Hey people, first time in this section so I'm gonna go straight to the chase...
I've been having some troubles unlocking this phone's bootloader
http://www.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_go_zb452kg-8097.php
Here's the thing
I've already enabled "Enable OEM unlock" in Developer Options
I've already unlocked many devices and this is the first time i got this problem
When going in bootloader and doing
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
It's stuck in
Code:
...
waited for 5 mins... NONE, still stuck
Reboot and did nothing, bootloader still locked
So I'm gonna need some help in this freakin phone :fingers-crossed:

this thread has continued to be unaswered for several years now.
only tested 2 phones... and it seems they both have bootloader status is unknown. i can do fastboot and recovery mode on the 2 phones but on fastboot mode.. only shows blank screen... idk why it's like that. i downgraded both phones to 12.2.0 version. and bootloader status is still unknown. it can be recognized by the computer in fastboot mode using fastboot devices command but you can't do anything to it. fastboot oem device-info does not work only shows .......... , fastboot oem unlock ....., only one working is fastboot adb_enable .. kinda useless. .. i gave up on unlocking the bootloader for this phone.. im too noob for this.

I found a way to unlock bootloader on this device. Just run this commands:
Code:
fastboot oem adb_enable 1
fastboot reboot-bootloader

I got root access with KingRoot and then flashed TWRP with Flashify.
Somehow that gave me access to bootloader without the necessity to downgrade the firmware.
Hay soo i wanted to relock bootloader after failing to install custom recovery (both) i turned off oem unlocking in developer options and did fastboot oem lock. Now the phone is looping in "your device can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader" and it reboots and says the same again.
When i try to unlock the bootloader with fastboot oem unlock i get "FAILED (remote: Flashing Unlock is not allowed)
I really dont know what to do and i need a phone for comunication. Please help!
You should only lock the bootloader after installing the stock ROM, otherwise your device will be bricked and the only way you'll get it back working is by flashing the EDL test points near the phone's battery and reflashing the stock ROM back in EDL mode.
Try downloading this tool then try to unlock oem, flashing and flashing critical.

I have seen another guy who did this. How is this possible that you turn off the unlock bootloader option when you've already unlocked it? The option gets greyed out and becomes non-functional.
Anyways I guess the best option is to give your phone to Xiaomi for the fix.

I don't think you will since you don't need to disassemble the device, all you need to do is remove the aluminum back cover carefully with damaging it and you'll find the test points right besides the battery

Why not use oem unlock?
Hello,
I spent nearly 5 hours to try to relock bootloader ( I have unlock code).
I read many thread, but I haven't found a solution yet.
I ve try to flash some img extracted from update.app but no result.
Can someone tell me if it's even possible, and if yes how?
Thanks to all.
Use adb and use fastboot relock bootloader "bootloader code"
Make sure you boot in fastboot by holding the volume down button while plugging the usb cable.

You literally modified the system files, hence why it doesn't allow relocking. Use system recovery from Hisuite and then relock your bootloader.

Hey!
I got a Zenfone 8 from a friend, and he told me that he tried to flash Lineage OS once, for some reason he got some errors and ended up going back to the stock ROM and relocking the bootloader.
Now I'm trying to unlock the bootloader again through the ASUS app, but it doesn't work. He tried to help me with some commands through fastboot mode and it also didn't work. There is any way to unlock it again after relocking it once?
He said he used the command 'fastboot oem asus-csc_lk' to relock it, don't know if it is hepful.
edit: We tried 'fastboot oem unlock' 'fastboot flashing unlock' (failed with permission error) and 'fastboot oem asus-unlock' (which resulted in FAILED (remote: 'Verify unlock token fail.')
Also AsusUnlock apk installs succesfully through ADB but fails to unlock with error 24802. Trying to install it through the phone doesn't work and gives me an error.
give more information please, from what build did your friend flash the lineageos? to what build did he go back to? did you install latest working ADB? are the drivers for the fastboot installed correctly? are you connected to the internet when trying to run the app on the phone?

He said he followed what was on the guide he found, first updated to Android 12, the latest on on asus website (WW-31.1004.0404.107), and then tried to flash LineageOS ROM, then he got some errors and went back to Android 12 and relocked the bootloader. He said he never tried anything again. When I got the phone it was on Android 12, I tried unlocking it as I said and it didn't work. Then I downgraded it to 11 using the firmware from asus website (Version Android 12 to Android 11), and tried to unlock it again using Android 11. Also didn't work.
About ADB and Fastboot drivers, they are correctly installed, tried some "standalone" versions and also the one that come with android SDK Platform Tools. Tested it on other devices and it worked well. And the phone was connected to the internet when I tried using the app, I'm sure because I downloaded it on the phone aswell, using the browser.
edit: Actually I'm not sure about the fastboot drivers, I've just downloaded the sdk tools from google website.
what lineageos did he flasah? if its 18.1 thats android 11... propably why he got the errors.

The warning appears, but it is not unlocked. Every command fails, device-info says that my device is not unlocked., it is locked.
What I'm trying to do is unlock it.
Let me try to explain what happened again.
The phone has been unlocked to install LineageOS. It didn't work. The past owner then installed the stock rom and locked it using this command: 'fastboot oem asus-csc_lk'.
Then I bought the phone from him, and now I'm trying to unlock it again, but it doesn't work.
The question then is: Is it possible to unlock a phone that has previously been unlocked and then relocked?
Hey, did you got it to work ?
