I just purchased a theme for Go Launcher Ex that comes with 200+ icons but cannot seem to access them. When I select "replace" it gives me a list of roughly 10 basic icons including phone and calculator but nothing more.
In ADW ex they work perfectly, showing up in a list when I try to customize but I can't get this to happen in Go Launcher. I have applied the theme itself multiple times, which skins some of the icons with the theme by default but does not allow me to manually select from the large amount I downloaded.
Anyone know where purchased icons are stored so I could maybe do it through the gallery?

Odd. I have bought like 6 or 7 in the last few months and none of them are there yet they work and show up perfectly. What format should they be in? I should have like 300 icon files if that is the case. Compressed, hidden or something? I have yet to see 1 icon in that folder.

Hey guys so I just got my captivate about 3 days ago and I successfully rooted it and am still looking for the nice clean looking themes. I went to one thread with all these android desktops and everyone seems to have really cool docks and widgets. Can anyone share with me where I can go about looking for some widgets and how do put dock icons into my phone? Thanks guys.
I'm using LauncherPro but I haven't found a whole theme using it. I did use ADW Launcher and they have loads of Full Themes, including Icons, Wallpapers and Sounds.

Alright I already got launcher pro, but I was digging some other dock icons. Like how do I add custom dock icons into my phone?
After I purchased Launcher Pro Plus, it came with new Icons. Not sure about loading different/custom icons.

check out launcherpro.droidicon.com - all i do is save the icons/docks in their own folders. for the docks, just go to Preferences -> Appearance -> Dock Background -> Custom -> then select whichever one i want from the gallery.

Do you know of any free launcher pro apk files? Thanks for the help btw
How do you install a theme?
No
A theme is GUI usually added to a launcher to access apps, setting etc on your phone. Android phones come loaded with a launcher depending on the maker. Samsungs usually have TouchWiz. Try downloading ADWLauncher in the Market and press the home button .. it will give you and option to use the stock launcher or the installed one. Once the launcher is active you can add a theme to it by accessing the settings. ADW has hundreds of free themes in the Market.
Cheers.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=879039
Copy the theme to your sd card
Rename it to update.zip
Power off
Start it back up in recovery mode(hold end and home keys)
Select apply update.zip.
After it DL, select reboot.
If you are just looking to snaz up your home screen just find a nice launcher and slap a them on it. What exactly are you looking to do?

Thank you for the clear icon!!!
I am currently using the free version of Folder Organizer. I haven't found a way in the free version to have icons on the home page without have titles display. I'd like to be able to have a nearly blank home page with hidden folders. Does anyone know if the full version supports untitled folder displays? Or, is there a folder app/launcher that allows icon only folders?

SiMi folder allows icons only. It's available in the market and it's free.
Works great! Thank you! The only thing I'd like to see in simi is the option to direct edit they folders without opening the app. Does anyone know if that's an option with adw ex?

They're just pictures and are linked to the applications via desktop Visualizer.

I knew i should have shared that when i first found it last month... oh well. The only thing that kept me from keeping it was that icons would get cut out when you use that many columns and rows, otherwise, i have that setup backed up on my sd card for later use.

(Desktop Visualizer) widget on your homescreen.
3x1 widget: select which picture u want to use extracted from the zip.
For the application, choose best fit app for picture u chose. Clear the label and no touch effect.

is u using desktop Visualizer and or adw launcher?..if so hold the item widget for a few sec until a menu pops up and click edit.. that with let u adjust the widget size.. start off by using a 1x2 and go bigger to your likings.. as to the landscape setting use the adw launcher setting not the menu phone settings..

I know what the difference is, your grid size is different than what I had. Thanks, but I never had trouble in the first place. I'm using a different setup now anyway.

i don't think you can add a folder on the drawer. But on the home screen i think you can with APEX Launcher the donate(pro)version Im not sure bec. I've replaced Apex with Nova launcher, only used Apex for about a day. Nova Launcher Prime(paid version) does them both. On the meantime you can try dragging another icon with the existing one on desktop to make a folder on homescreen with apex
Apex Launcher
Very easy,
you drop one app over another one. This you can do several times.
For example: On the screen you have the icon of app A. drop B, C, D etc.
over it. You will see one rounded Icon. By pressing on it you will see all the dropped icons with their names. The first app (in this case A) is shown as icon for the folder. You can move the icons by keeping them pressed a little bit longer in the order you want.
Coming back to main screen press the icon a little bit longer and give a name to the folder.
With Apex options/folder you can change also the style of the folder.
It´s up to you which one you like most.
Try and enjoy!

I did it, but as soon as I press the one app I want to move, it directly go to the main screen (desk top screen), I want to make the folder in the apps drawer screens, like how I used to do with GO Launcher
You can't make a folder in the app drawer, like on go launcher.

Not folders but you can have multiple tabs in the pro version. Think of tabs like folders only displaying one at a time up top. I have all my apps categorized into 6 tabs. Takes a few minutes to get used to (coming from GoLauncher) but it's actually quite nice having the entire screen for a "folder" (tab) of apps... especially if you find yourself using one tab more often than the others: it remembers the last tab you were in.

Thanks! I didn't notice you could make a new tab group by holding a tab and creating it! Very good! Now I dont have to be adding games to a unsorted folder and all that stuff! Besides, is better to have it a screen than in a folder

Whenever I try to move one icon onto another, it just moves it so that they swap places. Doesn't matter how many times I try or how slowly I try I can no longer make it so that it makes folder!
when your moving the icon over another to put them into a folder, try not to hover drop it straight away, when you hold it over the top for even a short ammount of time it thinks your organising the layout,
I'm having the same problem. the other app just slides out of the way right away and doesn't create the circle.
