very weird pb.please help

Hy guys,
I was trying the other day to flash a friends Galaxy S stock 2.2 but i couldnt connect the phone to the pc. In the pull down menu, it didnt appeared the dialog to click to go for usb mass storage or anything.
I've selected USb Debugging, clicked in the options for USB Mass Storage, and when i connect the phone to PC and cable, both play the connected sound, but still nothing more. What could be the pb? and how can i solve it?

also to mention. I'm running win 7 on 64bits, drivers installed correctly and my phone has no pb at all when it comes to connect it to the PC.
So....Odin not recognizing, PC not recognizing phone...what to do....?

try different ports or re-install your drivers(kies) take a look on the Themes and Apps section i saw a thread for drivers... try on a different computer....

have tried reinstalling the drivers, also using all the ports available on my pc. still the same pb.:-<

Definately PC issue. Reinstall Kies drivers.

i have a big problem...
last few days, I have a big problem with my SGS and CM7...
none of my PC does not recognize (XP 32bit win7 32 and 64 bit)
in total, my PC does not recognize 3 more ... a colleague who also Kangaroo version can no longer connect on pc and my work pc does not recognize it either ...
anyone know a solution to the problem there?

i can't flash my phone because in "downloading mod" the phone isn't recognized...
i have a good IMEI, test stock CM7 (#181) etc..
i have the last driver (samsung and google pack of sdk)

have u tried using rom manger to flash a rom?

i am on CM7 and i can to flash ANY rom of cm7 (181, kang, ICS...) but i cant to flash with odin... no driver, not recognized, not [com:xx]
i would like to flsh stock rom to install clean CM7....
but my PC don't recognize the phone...

Have you try another usb port? I had the same problem and solved it by change the usb port

all worked fine... 1000 flashs....
and paf, not recognized.... i have tried another USB ports (3~4 on 3 computers...)
i am searching other driver ... but don't work...

Hello to all my XDA friends,
Thanks for all your support and help that I am now a little literate in flashing ROMs.
I have a quick question and would very much appreciate your advice to rectify it.
My Spice MI-410 stopped connecting to the PC.
The most likely reason I could imagine be that either it is because I changed my micro SD card with new one or because I flashed to RC2. Please confirm that after flashing RC2 you guys could connect your phone to PC?
Currently it only charges once connected to PC but that's it. I tried connecting to 3 different computers but still no luck. Even SUT 1.7 and 1.8 does not recognize my phone in download mode.
How can I get this phone to be recognized on my PC?

Neither the change of SD card or installing RC2 should cause this problem.
Are you using windows? Which version? 32 or 64? Do you have drivers installed?
Some ideas.
1.Try different USB cord.
2 Try different computer.
3. Try Linux Instead of windows.
4. Carry or send phone back for service.

Yes I am using Windows XP 32. It used to connect earlier and all of a sudden it stopped showing up on the PC as well as my laptop. both are Windows XP 32.
I tried connecting to 3 different computers with 2 different cables. I don't have Linux but I'll try that on a friends computer.
To send back the phone for service, I wanted to roll back the phone to original stock ROM. Cant do so since SUT 1.7 as well as 1.8 does not recognize the phone on PC.
Any other ideas to get the Stock ROM on my phone without connecting to the PC? I am on Napsters latest CWM.

You can try to change the stock rom's name to firmware.nb0 and transfer it to the main directory of the sd card using your pc then boot install it using the stock recovery option. Some versions of napsters cwm will allow you to boot into stock recovery. I hope you have that version.

Yes, Thanks that worked. Luckily I had Napsters new CWM recovery which allowed me to boot in stock recovery. Now I am on stock ROM. Unfortunately still cannot connect the phone through USB cable.
Do you know how I can check if I have the USB drivers on my phone and PC?

i think...maybe there is something wrong with your devices usb port...

Actually I had a problem with the phone USB port once about 3 months ago. I could not charge with it nor connect with PC. So I gave it to the service station. When I got it repaired, it did the charging work but sometimes on and off it used to connect to the PC. Now it has stopped completely connecting to the PC. I just wanted to make sure that I have not deleted the drivers accidentally.

[Q] Connecting Galaxy Note with Kies!

I'm using Windows XP and I can't connect my GNote to kies.
I've tried almost everything that is written on the net. Installing-reinstalling kies, rebooting PC, rebooting phone everything and still no success.
Can someone please explain to me how to do it?

Finally i realize a stupid question...
I plug the usb cable in my MOBO USB 3.0
And it cant recognize...then i try to swtich it to USB 2.0
It just work like magic...so you may try to check is that you facing the same problem?

GT-N7000 Usb Bricked !

I have been trying to find a solution for my usb bricked GT-N7000
I have rooted my stock GB rom and flashed a custom ICS rom which i cant remember since its been a long time.
I have wiped the rom too but after all the process phone was working flawlessly,
After a few months, i couldnt connect it to my laptop.
What i have done so far to fix,
1) Cleaned ports, no luck
2) flashed stock gb and ics roms, many other custom roms via mobile odin and cwm, no luck.
3) Checked eMMC bug threads and tried to look for a bad sector on my phone but all sectors were fine.
4) Tried to connect vie ADB but cant seem to get it working except wifi connection...
5) CWM can mount usb storage no matter which version i try.
6) Download mode doesnt trigger odin, despite the fact that i tried several usb cables on different pc's.
7) Factory reset, no luck.
8) Replaced the usb port, tried jig but no matter what i do, this cant seem to connect pc.
When I connect my Phone to the Computer via USB cable, my phone start charging and nothing else happens. My computer does not even show that I connected a USB device ( USB Debugging On / Off )
I would really appreciate if anyone can assist me about this brick-saga.
I know that this is a quite long post but i tried to be in details as much as possible.

Have tried to manually download and install drivers for the phone on your PC if you do not have the proper drivers installed it will never connect search for n7000 drivers for PC and give it a try

Tried every possible solutions about the drivers.
Phone says charging but there is no notification on the pc.

are you trying mtp or mass storage
