[Q] Formatting External SD Card

Has anyone ever tried to format their external SD card in their SGT?
I found an "old" 4GB microSD card which is the right size for the tab, but when I install it, I get the message that it's damaged and needs to be formatted.
Now when I format the card, I get the message to enter a security code (or pattern lock) just to be sure, before formatting.
After selecting format, nothing happens! What gives?

What are you expecting to happen? Mount it on your computer and see if its there

Anyhow, I used another device (SE Vivaz) to format the SD Card, it did in fact format it.
Then inserted the card in my SGT. It is now working, but the format card option is now grayed out. Will check with PC connection later.

[Q] Help me for my I9000, pls!

After i flashed my GT-I9000(without external sdcard), it reboot into recovery, and display "can't mount /sdcard" in red. And if i insert an external sdcard, and reboot, it can boot normally, but when i checked in menu -> setting -> sd card and phone storage, the "sd card" and "usb storage" are unavailable, only "system storage" is 1.83G. i tried several sd cards, no matter 2G, 4G, the same result. And if i plug the sd card to pc, 2GB of the card is disappeared. So, i think maybe there are some errors for my internal sdcard, and the system used 2G from external sd card. Can anyone help me to save my internal sd card back? Thanks.

try factory reset...if not works thn reflash the rom again. hope that gonna help.

I have tried factory reset from cwm, after reset,i tried to mount sdcard in cwm , still can't find /sdcard.I also tried a lot of roms , all are same results.

"Blank SD Card" Error, need help

But it is not blank, i tried mount/unmount through recovery and settings, nothing helps...
please help me, its freaking me out

Try to format your SD Card.

"SD Card Safe To Remove" issue

My phone keeps saying that the sd card is safe to remove and i have no access to any files or anything. When formatting in CWM it says no sd card detected and when i try to mount USB storage it just loads endlessly. Help please?

Actually I fixed it. Anyone with same problem, format your SD from the phone's storage settings (not CWM).

[Q] Ext SD card issue

After copying a recovery from card to pc the phone says the card is blank. What the hell happened and can I get it to read again?
