Have been looking around for an answer but not having any luck.
When going into the stock messaging application, drafts from previous messages will come up right at the start of the message. I've gone in and manually deleted all the drafts numerous times, and then new drafts accumulate.
All the drafts that are saved have been sent, and have been received from the recipient.
Anyone have an idea on whats going on? Or should I just go third-party?

Is there a way to make the phone wait until there is service to try to send an SMS? Its annoying, since it is always getting and dropping the connection when I am in my basement, and instead of waiting until it catches a signal, it just says that the messages failed and puts it in my drafts folder!
I have WM6.1 and this is really annoying because every time I tell it to try again and it fails, it adds another line to my history saying that it failed with a link to click again. I have to keep clicking try again until it sends the message, and then I have to go to my drafts folder and delete all the drafts.
no solutions for ya besides keep all messages in drafts then wait for signal then send them all at once
I'm hoping someone can help me out here, but I sent a lot of text messages trying to win tickets to a concert. I've since delted all the text messages, but it still shows there's one in the inbox. I cleared out all the text messages and email. I reset the phone three times now and even took the battery out, but it still says there's one message in there. It's not a big deal, but i'd hate to have hard reset the phone just to get that off there. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed
Same problem for me since 2 weeks !!! didn't figure out how to fix it !!!! except a hard reset.. which is something i don't want to do..
if someone has an answer... welcome !!!
Ive found the answer!!!
Ive found a fix if you guys haven't already and it doesn't involve a hard reset.
I'm having this same problem, could you please post the fix?
This is just an FYI to anyone else having this problem. I tried quite a few different things and none of them worked. I got the FixUnreadCount.exe from Raven, and that didn't solve the problem. I went into the registry and tried a few different things, including the changing the SMS and MMS counts to 0. That would work for a little while, but as soon as I would get another text message, the count would go back up for two messages that I couldn't see. I even completely cleared my inbox, but the count still showed two unread messages.
What I ended up having to do was disable threaded messaging (see the FAQs for how to do this) in order to see the two messages that were there. They didn't show up in threaded messaging, but when I went back to a regular inbox with all of my messages pooled together, I was able to see two text messages with no sender (not sure how that happens). I deleted them from there, cleared them from the "Deleted" folder, and then re-enabled threaded messaging. At that point, the count was back to normal.
thanks a lot!
it works...!
I guess I'm just a noob when it comes to text messages...I use email. But unfortunately, my kids and most of my friends insist on it, so I've been forced to start using texts from time to time.
Problem is, I can't send for some reason...and after a few hours poking around the forums, I'm not finding anything to help me figure out why.
I'm using the Hyperdragon build in my sig with MMS composer v. 5.2.2.22, and I have a data connection with ATT.
When I send a message, I've tried adding a recipient manually, and by my contacts list, and when I send the message, all it does is go into my outbox and sit. I also get a copy of it in my inbox.
I've checked that the phone settings for the ATT MMS server is correct, with the correct number for text messages, but still nada.
I'm sure it's just a noob mistake, but I'm stumped. Any ideas?
peace,
Aielman

I've double checked all the settings. They're correct.
I'm connected to the 3G network, and can send email, browse web pages, make calls, etc. I can receive sms/mms justfine.
But for some reason I can't send.
It just sits in my outbox and I get a copy from "Me" in my inbox any time I send.

Aielman
I am having problems with the threaded SMS texting on my diamond. When I have a conversation box open and am texting back and forth with someone it does not show the messages as read. When I close out of the conversation and go to my SMS inbox it shows that I have new messages (as many as the person sent). The only way for me to clear these messages as read is to open and close the conversation as many times as there were messages sent. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem. Thanks
I own a GT-P1000 and randomly today, as I was about to send a text message, I found to my horror that my inbox has reverted to zero. When I try to connect it to my computer to possibly fish for these data in its memory, I find that it only goes to charging mode. Any possible way I can retrieve my messages? The tab has already deleted my contacts a few months ago and I have relied on my inbox to identify senders of incoming calls and messages. A lot of information regarding to my work were stored in those messages so it would be a huge huge help to me if I can get them back

Sorry to hear about that. if you have been syncing your tab to google then by default your contacts should have been saved. you could at least resurrect them that way. as for sms and mms i think you are out of luck. i normally back up messages with the app 'sms backup & restore' from google play. it's free.
