Okay I flashed Zeus yesterday and I like it a lot.. Only problem is the HUGE battery drain, mainly due to phone not going in deep sleep according to CPU spy and battery use (mostly always awake)... I don't know what is causing this but I'm suspecting some apps namely:
Avast! Antivirus
Hotmail (w/ push notifications)
Raging Thunder 2 (strangely open itself, using 1.2mb RAM)
Perfect Applock
Alarm Clock Xtreme
And some traditional one (facebook, twicca,etc)
All apps requiring refresh like Fb and twicca have 4 hours interval..
I didn't OC or anything.
Can anyone help me to improve my battery life?
EDIT: I found the culprit(s)! It was definitely Perfect Applock!! Now no more battery drain! I also turned off push notifications for Hotmail app.

Hotmail is a very "hot" canditate, its famous due his battery drain. To control the apps and his battery consumtion try the app "better battery stats". It will tell you more.
Regards!
Before use "better battery stats" check if your OB go in deep sleep with Cpu Spy
If not, use ZeusTweaker and change governor,after 30 minute replace your favorite Governor (obviously after having checked that the phone goes in deep sleep)
This has worked in my case

Realy strange!
In some cases I have hear, that the alarm app can cause such a behavior.
An other posibility ist a corrupted batterystats file. In this case use batterycalibration to erase this at full charge.
Another good tip ist to charge and discharge the battery 3 times completely.
And an anytime tip is use betterbatterystats to get better information. The author generously offer this app for freee to xda-users, just search here.

I just don't understand. Cm7 tiamat 1.1.4 smartass v2 newest radio and matching ril, no wifi and background data turned completely off. This is significantly worse than any other rom including stock. Any ideas?

Charge to 100 percent then delete battery stats.
See if that helps.
It's the best rom for battery for all others i've talked to

I've calibrated the battery twice since installing CM7 in the past 4 days. I am even underclocking with Incredicontrol at -75, but to no avail.
HMM Android system is chewing through battery.
I'm not really sure why.

I don't know if it will help as I just downloaded it today but this app https://market.android.com/details?id=com.freeb.automm seems like it should help battery life because you can customize how much memory goes to background applications.

@Scoobysnacks Are you using Cynogenmod or MIUI? I'm on MIUI and found that Android System and Call Standby always seem to be listed in at the top of the battery use processes (much more than Display). Whereas for Sense ROMs, Display is almost always at the top.
try a modified kernel , like tiamat
Oops sorry didnt see you already using it. Make sur you use 1.1.4 and not .5 because that kernel has battery problems you could try stock cm7 kernel as well
Sent from my Blade using xda premium
same here, android system 40%, standby 36%.
im on miui.us 1.11.4 and tiamat 1.1.5
Currently Mobile standby 47% and phone idle 45% for me. Android system not in the list.
CM7.1 and Tiamat 1.1.5, so it can't be the kernel or the ROM. Did you do a full wipe?
Try running logcat on the phone and seeing what messages are in there, something seems to be keeping the phone awake a lot judging by the blue stripes below your graph.
Hi All,
Just a small poll to check out how long u battery lives for a single charge with medium usage and internet enabled.
Please choose the one among them!
Thank you !
Results will be meaningless since medium usage isn't specified.
Medium usage for one will be different than for someone else.
Make use of some battery drain usage tracker to get better results.
USe AutoKiller Memory Optimizer for saving juice. Also try under clocking your cell phone. (This does not need any ROM, can be done using apps like SetCPU)
Thank You

That doesn't help.
What does help is to shut down modem chip and so on with 2xbattery.
Juice defender
Try the free one first it is amazing.
With my average use, battery's life is on 15/16 hours.
If I'm at home wifi is always on, otherwise mobile data is handled by Juice Defender Ultimate.
I use mebitek's rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475504 and SetCpu with this profile:
Default: 729/245 Ondemand
Screen Off: 320/245 Conservative
Battery <30%: 604/245 InteractiveX

I don't see movies and I play very little (I have only one game on my phone).

I'm not interested to Cyan Revo A, I feel good with mebitek's rom.
As I said before, wifi is always on if I'm at home otherwise mobile data is handled by Juice Defender Ultimate.
Moreover, in my opinion, cpu frequency @806 is too high and useless. Battery gets too hot and obviously exhausted much sooner.
Helli guys I slept for 10 hours I left the phone 100% battery now I found it 15 without any using Im using cm7 29/7 nightly with modded huexx 4.0 kernel

Is it a recent problem? due to a new install of CM7?
Check with Cpuspy if the phone enters in deepsleep.
Your plot shows a weak phone signal for some hours but this does not seem to be the cause of the drain. The slope is quiet constant over the time.
Do you have an app running in background?
Philippe
I recommend using the original kernel of CM7 to not have high battery consumption.
Also recommend using the CM Stable because the Nightlys always use a lot of battery.
I use Cm7 Stable with the following tweaks in build.prop to help save battery.
# Save battery
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
ro.sf.hw_lcd_density=240
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
Hope helped you.
Hugs! :silly:
Cm7 original kernel has freezes and sods and this kernel is better although in the gps but the battery was good after i installed it for the first time then battery get worse by time i installed cm9 ultrasound 3 for testing and then get back to the cm7 by nandroid backup then the drain started
When i installed it for the first time it took 0% dor 10 hours of deep sleep next night it took 5% third night it took 10% fourth night it took 15 don't know why

Perhaps you should clear the battery stats ... I don't know if the NANDROID restore the batttery stats.

Strange. If it was app we would see some wacklocks. But there's none. Do nadroid backup and check on stock if the same happens. This could be hardware failure.
No not on the stock only with same cm7 I'm using now first the battery was very very very good but now no let me clear battery status and see If we can do some things

without using it only can stay for 10 hours only why????
Zeus can stand for 2% per all night but cm7 powers off after 10 hours
Zeus' battery drain
In my opinion is the battery consumption of Zeus very high, especially when the screen is on!
I've been using android phones from past 2 years and i found some best battery saving apps .
Here are the best battery saving apps i found -
Screen filter - it does not save battery but it reduces battery that saves battery.
Longetivity beta - this app js the best battery saving app , when i use this app on my gaalxy note , the phone uses only 2% of battery for 10hours .
Do you know any battery saving apps?
Please drop in your comments .

Try SetCPU and set it to maximum 800MHz
The Best way is flash kernel and custom rom
Just flash the HydraCore 0.7 kernel and set SetCPU to 1.2Ghz with pegasusq governor. Also make a profile for when the screen is off to 500mhz Max. I get around 10 hours of heavy usage daily. And well over 14 hours of normal usage.

Not that it matters though but I just root my phone, take those bloatwares off *using TB and install 2 apps for my battery saving thing.... - Android Assistant and battery Saver (both in google play), one as a tasker to turn off all apps that runs everytime I reboot my phone, and the other to set the maximum battery profile on what I just need my phone to use on to. Average, I get about 2 days max on my phone(with SpeedMod as well).. eg. Email and data on. I get to set my profile to turn off my wifi everytime I leave the house and turn it on again when I come home at night. Screen brightness at 20% and not using any LWP at all. Just normal static ones.
P.S. ROMS matter as well, stock ICS drains pretty much, that's what I can say.. I'm using Chrack's final one and yeah.. never been this satisfied and contented as before. That's all I can say....
I just moved from an iPhone so I am not sure if what I am having is anything serious. Battery seems to be dropping much faster than I am used to seeing.
Phone takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to charge, it's speedy but battery was draining pretty quickly so I rooted and installed LiquidSmooth.
It says that the process names Android OS is taking 81 percent of my battery.
Things are still as they were, I am not sure what do next. Any help or pointing to the right thred would be very appreciated.

See this one too, if it helps identifying whether the discharge is normal or not!
What did you modify?
It seems that something keep your phone awake more then it should be.
Try to unistal apps that runing in background (those snapdragon apps, 56% stuff) and etc.
Fast dormancy also has possibility to cause high Android OS, you may try to look if your carrier support fast dormancy, if not then disable it.
Hope I help

I had tried to pinpoint the most draining app, tried BetterBatteryStats and the tutorial about how to interpret the data but couldn't solve it.
I installed SlimKat and by battery is doing just fine, 7 hours gone with wifi on with moderate usage and I am on 60 percent now.

Mine doesn't (just checked), and neither did my Qtek 1010 (Although it coped poorly with the feature).
Granted, I'm not using a Blue Angel, and my i-mate is ROMmed to the hilt, but surely the menu should just trigger a sound event (that I certainly don't have) which you can switch off?
Does it do the same when you Look4It (*120*5555# I think) ?
