Bell Raider echoing on ICS - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Hi xdaers!
My problem is I've updated my Bell Raider to ICS after S-OFF, and after that, when I am in call, peoples say that they hear themselves in echo thru my device. This is really annoying for them, but also for me when I try to call a voice controlled customer service.
I have tryed the Telsra RUU as well as the ATT, each one with following the said below process :
1) Relock Bootloader
2) Flash my original Bell RUU
3) Flash either of the ICS RUUs
4) Flash unlocktoken via fastboot
5) Flash custom ICS ROM (I've tried Holics, RumFloat, Dark Raider, Virtuous Inquisition...)
Anyone has the solution for that or has experienced the same issue?
Thanks, idealduk

I did the write cid 11111111 before and did soff and also ran the att gb ruu first then ran the att ruu after. Same thing on my bell raider. Im looking to integrate my old ril or radio into this ics.. im on virtouious rom now. Never tried anything else. On samsung phones and such they just flash their old gb ril or delete and copy the system file over to their new rom

Same issue here as well. I think it may something to do with the mic sensitivity. Turn the volume down on your speaker, a couple notches, ask your friends if they still hear the echo (feedback). My friends don't complain anymore.

Maybe with the ICS OTA just released we can get the update.zip from it?

Where did you get the stock ruu?
THe ICS OTA upgrade craps out on mine because of the CWM I installed.
I'm guessing if I go back to stock the OTA upgrade will work - or am I way off here?
I'm having trouble finding either the stock ruu, or even a modded ICS version to load on the Raider.

Does anyone have an HTC Raider 4G LTE on Bell and can provide me with a Stock Firmware? I tried a custom rom and stupid me, didn't back up my stock one .
I really need to get back to a Stock rom as it seems the custom one on this site is Korean
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks Pirateghost - I've tried the on with BM in the name as I'm guessing that's for Bell Mobility. I am getting an error 155 when trying to run the flash.
My Raider has CWM installed on it and a rooted mod. I've booted using the Power-VolDown button and put it into FastLoad. It seems to reboot when the update starts but then just sits at the HTC logo and the flash tool errors out with 155.
Any ideas?
I'm trying to extract the rom.zip from the EXE using Process Monitor. When I find the rom.zip, it seems to be corrupt. Can you confirm that the there is correct?
I was able to finally extra the rom.zip from the BM RUU and everything flashes except for the system image . It says data length is too large.
So I'm kinda stuck right now with this other ROM.
If anyone knows of another source for an HTC Holiday/Raider 4G on Bell (BM), please let me know!
Thanks
OEM LOCK the device BEFORE running the RUU upgrade!!!
Figured it out!!!
You need to re-lock the bootloader before the RUU will actually succeed!
fastboot oem lock
As I'm not cool enough to post in the Development section, can someone post an update to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351717 and let the person know there who is having the same problem I am that he/she needs to re-lock the bootloader before they can apply the RUU? [ROM] Restore to unrooted GB from ICS (AT&T)

Howdy!
What is this?
This is a PH39IMG.zip that you flash via HBOOT to restore your phone to stock unrooted Gingerbread shipping ROM. This will also remove Clockwork Recovery
Click to collapse
Why should I use this/care?
If you've updated your phone to the Ice Cream Sandwich build that AT&T pushed out OTA, or flashed your phone manually, you may at some point in time wish to go back to Gingerbread.
If you do, you'll find that the PH39IMG.zip and RUU that you would have previously tried to use don't work, since ICS updated your HBOOT.
This is essentially a "return to warranty" kit. This doesn't remove the "*UNLOCKED*" flag on HBOOT, but it will allow you to return to some semblance of stock just in case.
Click to collapse
How do I use this?
Your bootloader must be unlocked to flash this.
Download the file, put it on your external SD, and boot to HBOOT. Accept the update when prompted.
If you're trying to return your phone to AT&T for warranty, you should probably also re-lock your bootloader also ("fastboot oem lock")
Please note!
This is not for HTC Raider / Velocity / Generic Holiday users!
This restores the shipping HTC Vivid ROM for AT&T.

After running the update, which appears to work with the little status bar going up and down as it should, it gets stuck at the Hboot screen. (Attached.)
After pulling the battery, it boots to HTC white screen, reboots once, then sticks on the HTC white screen. I can get back to Hboot, but not sure where to proceed from here?

If your bootloader was relocked prior to attempting to flash the RUU or PH39img.zip, then youre doing the right thing.

You must have your bootloader unlocked to flash this image. You can re-lock it afterwords, but you may get a *SECURITY WARNING* in HBOOT, since if you have the new HBOOT, you technically should also have stock ICS.

hey cubed, how are you?
before unlocking bootloader, i flashed the ics ruu so i'm on new hboot and radio,
since i unlocked bootloader and running a wc's 3.5 rom, however i have an issue, when i talk on the phone from speaker, ppl hear their echo, so i'm thinking radio issue, i tried to flash back the gb ruu and no go cuz of bootloader, so i downgraded with the method in OP but it didn't downgrade radio, i tried again to flash gb ruu and no luck, i put the radio.img from the gb ruu into ur zip and now it won't recognize it at all (guessing due to signature) so i'm flashing the stock ics ruu now to see if im gona have the same problem or not. by the way when i flashed ur downgrade zip and loaded, the phone would not connect to any network at all and being a stock rom the option to search for network is greyed out.
so i'm guessing bottom line is im stuck with this new radio since we don't have s-off correct?
is there any way so far to totally downgrade back to the original ship ruu ? bootloader, radio and all ?
thanks

I really don't think it's a radio issue. I believe it's a network issue. I've had an echo on several devices I've used from the original iPhone through iPhone 4 blackberrys inspire and now vivid. But it is not all the time just every once in a while.

yeah i've had it happen randomly before in some phones, but this is consistent every single call for the past 3 days. in different areas, with different people at different times.
i just finished flashing the stock ics ruu and it connected to the network fine and made a couple of quick phone calls and no echo
btw the ppl i talk to hear them selves, i don't hear any echo, it all sounds well on my end. im gona try another 3.5 rom and see what happens
EDIT: just tried holiraider, and it did it. leme see what other roms i can flash
so a quick update, even with a custom sense 3.0 rom, i can't connect to a network at all, it only works with 3.5 roms and i people i talk to have an echo, and only fix is running an ics rom, for some reason when i push the ics ril files into a 3.5 rom i loose all network connections, baseband says unknown and all the phone info except serial number is unknown in the hardware info.
so very strange. so even when using this guide, and restoring the fully stock gb i still cant use the phone
uploaded wrong screenies, i'll update in a sec
EDIT: well i tried again, and flashed thecubed zip and i'm back on the stock 3.0 unrooted, and i noticed that i was able to get the signal up and running when i toggle wifi. by default on first boot its on, so i connected to my wifi as usual, but i dunno why i just turned it off so the network came right up and all was fine with the signal. i turned wifi back on and no problems. i turned it off, no problems. so i restarted the phone, and it won't connect to the network, so i turn wifi on and now i am connected and have full signal. strange, so i wonder if that's due to the radio, or something happened to my phone since i seem to be the only one having those issues

[Q] Bell raider, ICS OTA update, root + cwm recovery

HI, quick noob question,
I have a rooted, stock rom, bell htc raider with CWM 5.5.0.4 recovery.
What steps should I take to prepare for the upcomming OTA update to ICS.
I read that the safest way to do this is to get it as close to stock as possible, how do I do that?
I found a method for the AT&T phones but obviously since bell hasn't released the update yet I wont find one for mine.
thanks for any help you can give me.
PatG20
*edit, I used the same method as the At&t phones, found an original RUU for Bell, relocked the bootloader and ran the RUU. back to bone stock.
AT&T RUU
Run the ICS AT&T RUU and use a Custom ROM like Dark Raider until we get the official update from BELL or ROGERS.

Is there a beats audio belt in, as in at&t build?
Question
Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm guessing this is the flashable zip by recovery same as any other ROM right?, has any one tested this already??
Thanks!
This file is the OTA update file you will get only when you have Bell's stock GB ROM already installed on the Raider. It is not a complete ROM, and if your CID is not BM___001 it will not let you update.
There is no Beat Audio in this ROM.
any luck getting this installed on a stocked rooted bell raider?
I don't really want to wipe again, buddy of mine tried by locking bootloader removing superuser but it failed.
If you are rooted, with unlocked bootloader, and SuperCID your phone, the update will not apply properly, it will even display a message saying your phone's software has been modified and stops right there.
You will probably have to start fresh again.
I managed to flash it on Roger's Raider (to use on Bell).
I was gonna write a tutorial but wasn't sure how many will actually need it the exact same way I do, here is the short version of what I did:
I was already using AT&T ICS (already have s-off, supercid, etc)
1) in fastboot, change CID to BM___001
2) in fastboot, relock bootloader
3) in fastboot, flash Bell GB RUU
4) boot into OS, update to ICS (right from "System Updates" in settings)
5) in fastboot, unlock bootloader (you will need a new unlock bin, the old one from GB didn't work for me, follow the steps at HTCDEV again)
6) in fastboot, flash custom recovery and change CID back to 11111111 if you want
7) boot into the custom recovery you just flashed, and flash supersu package
8) profit.
That's what I did anyway... let me know if anyone wants a longer version of this.
thanks but i have a stock Bell with S-ON and its just rooted. My buddie already got ICS by lock the bootloader and flashing the Bell GB RUU, but i'm looking for a way around itso i don't have to start over.

[Q] Flashing UK carrier Three HTC one with international ROM

Hi all,
I'm wanting to flash my HTC one 32gb, UK Three network, with the international software so I can receive updates much quicker rather than waiting for my carrier to approve them as well.
First off will I need S-off for this to work because of the carrier lock? I've only ever had unlocked phones before, when I have rooted them. Also what are the best tools for the job? I am looking for that lastest stock international stock ROM that I can root. I'm fine with command line tools like; fastboot, adb ect. Been off the rooting scene in a while since I had a galaxy nexus, with its unlock boot loader option
Thanks.

Thanks guys I've done it! Unlocked it the via the HTC dev site and flashed the clockwork mod recovery, then flashed the latest stock ROM. So now I should not have to wait for my network carrier to deliver the updates. Did it on my macbook using fastboot and adb.
So for future reference for anyone else;
HTC one on carrier Three UK, flashed with latest stock ROM with no problems.
No need for S-off either.

That is where you might have troubles. Because the OTA updates will still look at your CID and if your CID doesn't match up (which it won't) because the update is for the CID in the UK region and your CID is for example the Australian region then the update won't install.

Hi, can i ask where you got the Stock ROM from? I rooted mine the other day, then decided i wanted to unroot it, and in trying to do so I ended up using the wrong RUU and now the Wifi and Camera dont work. I am an idiot.
So ive decided ill settle for a stock ROM for now until someone comes along with the UK Three RUU.
Thanks in advance
