Hi,
Since the Note supports USB host out of the box, I'm curious now that is it possible to get the Note to support the Android "USB Host" APIs (without going to ICS)?
According to http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/index.html USB Host is only supported on 3.1, while USB accessory mode is backported to 2.3.4. But then how does the Note does its USB host? Are they all custom code by Samsung?
Or perhaps another way to ask is, is it possible to write an Android app that uses USB host devices for the Note without ICS?
Thanks.

It doesn't automount, you have to pull status bar down then mount.
why do you think this belongs in the dev section?
its a question so surely it belongs in QnA...or am i missing something?
please read the rules next time, learn to search, post in the correct section etc...
infact, im sure most the mods would agree that this doesnt deserve its own thread, but should be in the ROM thread
Where to find kernel with USB host implemented for p1000?
The development forums are no place for question threads which is why we have the Q&A forum. Please ensure you post correctly in the respective forums.
Thanks

Hello
i have a small problem and i need your help.
I have installed CM10 (Invendor Alpha5) on my I9001
I have mounted a NAS drive with Cifs Manager.
It works fine but i have a Problem with the german letters like ä,ö,ü
I have read that i can load with the CIFS Manager the Module nls_utf8.ko (one file from the Internet)
It will not work.
Perhaps i have the wrong module. Can someone tell me where i can find the correct one, or is there a other way necessary.
Thanks
