---------- Post added at 08:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:13 PM ----------
if u did use jtag usb to active download mode and flash u re phone using odin
try to flash u re phone using a laptob if it s possible
hope u re phone wake up
Galaxy s
I have tried charging the battery and it didnt work
Tryed getting into download mode by using 3 button combo and a usb jig
I cannot flash with odin because i cannot get odin to recognize my phone due to the fact that it cant get into download mode
Cheers for ur help so far
Try getting a charged battery from someone else? maybe your battery is flat
Galaxy s
tried using a fully charged battery and it still didnt work
how did you do that? I mean, I thought it was nearly impossible to hard brick an Android Smartphone..
What did you try to do? More details would help pinpoint the issue properly.
i done all of this by updating my galaxy s by odin i then accidentilly removed the cable and now my phone is fully bricked. Samsung just say that it is impossible to brick it. They just speak a load of bull****
From what he said on YouTube:
He pulled the wire, accidentally, whilst he was on ODIN flashing back to stock rom...
I have suggested:
-Getting battery out + 3 button combo
-Trying to get into download mode
-Trying a JIG (which he got)
-Trying to get into recovery
I've run out of things to suggest...if anyone else knows more, then please post it for him :/
I'm just surprised the JIG doesn't work.
Which firmware did you flash? Did they have bootloaders?
@dhiru1602 i want to know if there is any methods that u know of that could help me get into download mode or just getting my phone working. I cannot do anything with my phone. I am thinking of sending it in for repair but that will only happen if there is no way of getting my phone to work
@dhiru1602 i flash back to jpx
Cheers totallydubbed for ur help so far
Can u check ur inbox on youtube plz
Answer these questions.
Which firmware were you on?
Which firmware did you flash?
When did the flashing stop? At the very start or sometime during the process?
Are you sure your battery has some charge?
It might be possible that the phone functions but display isn't coming. Have you tried the key combination and checking if the computer recognizes the phone?
Galaxy s
1. i was on Jp6(Froyo)
2. I flashed Jpx
3. The flashing stopped about half way during the process
4. Yes the battery is fully charged
5. How do u do the key combination to see if odin recognizes it ( if u mean the three button combo to get into download mode then Yes)
If the phone is being recognized by the computer then why dont you try a reflash?
Galaxy s
the problem is that i cant get my phone to be recognized by the computer
Repair
I have finally given in so I decided to send it in for repair. Thanks for it help anyway

well good luck my man.
Remember flashing is a learning curve, don't take it as bad or anything. it happens to everyone once in a while.
Just remember when in download mode you do not want to do the following:
-Disconnect it
-Have a power cut
USUALLY, a JIG solves issues, even if you had the above two - in your case it didn't
The only thing that I could think of is the bootloader getting corrupt due to which the Download Mode doesn't work.
Brand new phone
I have just got my phone back which was great. it wasnt covered by manufacture warranty but they still done it for free. However they couldnt fix the phone so they gave me a brand new Galaxy s!
Cheers for ur help anyway though
Hello I was trying to flash a kernel and odin got stuck at setup connection. I removed the cable and the phone started showing a picture of a phone and computer with and exclamation mark in between. I put it in download mode and connected it to the PC again to reflash the stock rom but everytime I do this Odin gets stuck in setup connection. What to do now? Is it bricked? If I boot up the phone it just shows that picture, nothing else.
Thanks.
Hello.
I had exactly the same problem as you. I tried everything (different versions of ODIN, different PC, different firmware ect.) but nothing worked. I gave up and I have sent my phone to the service and right now they are working on it. If they repair it I will ask them how they did it and I will post it here.

I deleted Kies and Samsung drivers and reinstalled them to make sure I have the latest drivers and tried again, this time it worked after some tries. Tried to flash the stock rom at least 15 times though. After this headache I will definitely NOT touch the phone for flashing for a while. For some strange reason nothing works in my phone anyway other than stock stuff. It doesn't have warranty, the risk is too big.
If different PC method doesn't work for you then I guess it might not be related to drivers, maybe I was just lucky. Hope you'll have it repaired.
What rom you was trying to flash? And what is Your rom? I have similar problem. U got to check is it rom with repartition and select the appropriate options in ODIN.

Hi
Firstly, I'm sorry about my incorrect english.
I have a big problem with my rooted Galaxy Note Stock ICS 4.0.4.
After a phone restore (done in the Options menu) I encountered a boot problem.
When I turn the phone on, I see the white Galaxy Note GT-7000 writing and then
the Samsung Galaxy boot logo which continues flashing all the time but the
OS isn't booting. There isn't a boot loop which restarts the phone, only the blinking
Samsung animation.
I do really not know much about Android, rooting, flashing etc so I don't know what
is the problem and what I can do to fix it.
Recently I did a data/factory reset and cache partition wipe in the recovery mode,
hoping that this could help, but that didn't change anything.
After that I flashed another stock rom (ICS 4.0.4 Switzerland (Swisscom)) with
Odin in download mode, but there's still the endless boot problem.
I read about brick and that its not recommended to wipe anyting.
What could be my problem and how could I resolve it?
I'm sorry if theres just another thread which speaks about the same problem, but I
didn't find anyone with the identical situation as mine.
I'm very grateful for any answers.
hmm.. it could be because of data partition corruption..
download this http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ukk00n20dahxxkp
place it on external SD.. boot into recovery and choose apply update from ext storage
once done. boot into recovery again.. now ... in the new CWM. do
factory reset., wipe cache partition
advanced menu> wipe dalvik cache
reboot
Hi,
thank you for your answer. But perhaps as I turned the phone on the first time
since yesterday (i didn't do anything since), I'm not anymore able to go into recovery mode
and the boot process ends just at the white Galaxy Note writing (without bootloop, there's
only the static text)
Only the download mode works fine, but obviously I cant install your file from there...
If you can get into download mode, better flash a stock ics rom first. After the flash is successful you can try to do the procedure as in my previous post.
I tried to flash different roms (also stock ones) but the download of the "factoryfs.img" doesn't finish.
The only thing I could do is to interrupt the downloading and restart from the beginning.
I read that this problem happens sometimes and that it could be resolved rebooting the phone and
the pc, but I didn't got it working
Do you know why it doesn't work? The first time I flashed successfully, but that was the first and the last time.
I don't even get an error or a fail notification...

If Odin stops at "factoryfs.img" you bricked your device.
(I wrote this and the following lines a few times now in the last days, but the different OP are consequently ignoring the message and try other intelligent approaches, in the end they will not succeed, because their Note is still bricked).
Solution: Samsung replaces your motherboard (that is the only real repair).
Workaround: eMMC scanner and repartition trick in hg42's threads.
Nothing else will help if your device is bricked.

i know what you are getting to but till one is completely satisfied that the phone is bricked, they wouldnt go about repartitioned the memory and loose 3 GB... at least i wouldnt and i am sure no one will till all possible scenarios are exhausted, So try to be a little positive..

You said something about loosing 3 GB repartitioning the memory. Its possible to revive the phone by this way?
Does anyone know approximately how much it will cost me to replace the motherboard of the Note?
download this PIT file http://d-h.st/FVh
now put the phone in download mode again, open odin and select the PIT file in the PIT tab. also make sure repartition is checked.
select the rom in PDA (if more that one file for rom, choose appropriate options)
connect the phone .. when the port is shows in odin flash again,,, check if this also stops at the same factoryfs

if you have warranty thats the first one to do. if not then there is a way by repartitioning the memory to skip the bad blocks, not a guaranteed method but works most of the time. cost of motherboard is high about 350-400$
One final try. If you are able to go recovery mode, pressing volume up, home, power buttons, flash abyss kernel 4.2, do all wipes and formats and flash a custom rom such as kingdroid.

Thank you for your attempt helping me. Perhaps the flashing still fails (factoryfs.img could not be downloaded entirely).
Damn, 350-400$ only for the motherboard is a lot, considering that I bought this almost new phone for around 340$...
Isn't there any other way to get rid of the "brick"? I would accept any loss of memory just to get the phone working...
By the way is it a soft- or a hardbrick?

ok guys, so here's the story... it happen yesterday, as anyday i woke at the sound of my alarm(bodies-drowning pool)... now i wanna listen to the song while I write this; well, anyways... everything was fiiiiiiiiiiiiine, phone looked as good as always, got ready to school, then at chemistry class when i wanted to check the time... phones dead, first thought, battery dead right?... nope! a friend of mine got another golden , and nein... still not working with her battery, tried mine in her phone... it worked great; also forgot to say that it did not enter to recovery neither download mode, not even vibrates when the power button was pressed... so i think did my teacher bored 2 dead my phone?... ok ok, jokes apart... the problem is, after I discharge the phone reactive elements, it finally give me a glimpse of hope, it started, samsung letters with model number-breath away... waiting still-and again the ****ing letters, yeah it got into a bootloop, turns out is not the common ones... tried everything i can found on internet (first pages of google, search on xda... list goes on) nothing works... tried:
Using Odin(only download mode works)
flashing couple of bootloaders
flashing param+wipe
flashing param+wipe+stock rom
PD: if i try to enter to recovery mode, it shows TWRP image before the menu comes up, then goes to bootloop again.
PD2: Also when i hit power it shows the samsung letters with the return and menu blinking about 4-5 times, everytime I try to start the phone, then it goes to bootloop again... and so until it drains the battery.
PD3: Almost forgot, when i try to flash the stock rom, i get "movi_write card_status 2" and blk goes as far as 682k if it matters.
Willing to try anything all in the name of science of course ... if nothing happes im gonna tear it appart and salvaje everything my new rover may need a couple of thingies later on...
Little help will be appreciated
You can try conecting another USB cable on the back USB ports of the PC, also try to flash with an authentic stock firmware, you can get your exact phone firmware from Sammobile.com
Found a solution?
Yesterday I was recording when suddenly my cell phone went off and I was the same that you * Sorry for the English * :crying:

Have you tried flashing a fresh and perhaps newer version of TWRP?
What were the results of your attempts to flash the above? I understand that you still can't get it to boot to device or recovery modes, but does Odin report success?
Have you tried using fastboot to boot it into recovery mode? (You'll probably get the same TWRP bootloop, but worth a crack.)
---------- Post added at 06:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 PM ----------
...and have you tried re-rooting the phone using one of the one-touch applications (e.g. Kingoroot)? I don't know what state they need the phone to be in to work, but it might help in getting a usable ROM onto the phone if it works.
Disclaimer: I'm no expert - still haven't managed to get a working custom onto mine yet.

Sorry I don't have time to help you work through this. But you're not bricked. Do the process again. Try switching up your usb ports and cables. Try clicking the bootloader check and try loading the csc file when you flash everything. And hold the buttons longer than you think you should to return to download mode. Galaxy Note 8 screen is normal. You are likely already rooted and can get away with only redoing the second part.

You've tried all these things? You've restarted your phone? It seems you are really pretty close and could just power through. But I don't see any reason you can't return to stock. That may take you longer if you don't have the file and if you don't know how to get back.

Thats what i did.
1rst. Flash system tar. + Pit
I wait, until the process says FAILED.
After this failed message my phone just stuck on Download mode and dont restart by itself. I decide to use combo to power it off and turn it on again into download mode.
2nd.
I place the other 3 files in odin And flash it, following the steps from Samfail thread.
Reboot and get stuck on this screen now what can be ?

battery died
Charge the phone leave it in charger.
Get into download mode and flash your stock image with Prince comsy Odin with the data bootflag and the bootloader flag ticket, you can do this by adding a 1 in the .ini file. Flash the stock image and then reboot
Then if you want try to flash again the 2.5 version
If you are an unlocked carrier make sure to flash the csc file I posted in the samfail thread somewhere
I had the same problem you had until I flashed the unlocked csc file
