[Q] ICS Chinese keypad + handwriting IME - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyone with a download link for the Chinese keyboard/keypad with handwriting function?
The old GB Chinese Keypad IME is no longer functional.

Which rom are you using? I'm using LiquidSmooth V2.2 but it doesn't work for me. I could install the zip file but in settings, I don't see the diopen or any other keyboard. :-(

This keyboard is Samsung labelled, I'm afraid it can only be used on Touchwiz based ICS..
Someone may be able to remove the reliance just like the Samsung Apps, this is beyond my knowledge...

Been searching for more information on this on xda and the Internet. I was able to gather the files (not sure if it is all) but I could get it to work, Samsung Chinese keyboard, can write too. Works on a lite version based on Alba's rom. It worked on another Samsung based rom, but can't remember whuch one. Alba's full rom, I couldn't add one of the library file, so it FCed. One thing is for sure, I still can't get it to work on AOSP and CM9 roms. I even tried adding the Samsung keyboard files but still no go.

diopen chinese ime is the best for chinese input, especially in the newest version win which has 4 modes & support 4 languages:
qwerty keyboard, 3x4 keypad, handwriting box, full screen handwriting.
the language input is: simplified chinese, traditional chinese, english, korean.

Anyone with the AT&T version get the Video Maker APK working from an international version?
Can anyone with the international Galaxy Note GT-N7000 backup the APK with file expert etc & upload it to this forum or link it somewhere to see how it runs on the AT&T Galaxy Note I717 .. -Thnx

I'd decided to wait at least until after MWC next week before deciding on any SGNote-upgrade..otherwise I'd try that "TrimApp.apk" & report back to the forum how well the international Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Video Maker works on the AT&T Galaxy Note I717..
I just saw it... Do you need sPlaner too?
And probably you will need this lib file too for video editor:
http://db.tt/6FYYgUks
Put this file into system/lib/ folder.
EDIT: I REALIZE THAT TRIM.APK ISN'T CORRECT ONE.I WILL POST RIGHT APP...
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
There are correct files for Video editor and sPlaner.Sorry for previous mistake.

Downloaded, unzipped, and installed the Video Maker apk. It doesn't show up in the app tray. Must not be compatible with the OMAP processor. Too bad. I wonder if we'll ever get a version for the AT&T Note.
Did you put a lib file in system/lib too?And you probably need trim.apk also for cuting video files.
I just try to install app on my phone and I can't install it either. You MUST COPY apk into system/apps folder! And for sure put Trim.apk into system/apps/ and lib file into system/lib/ folder. But you need root for this.

Eh,sorry for that... :-(
It was strange for me too when I removed app and try to install it. Error: this is a system app,it can't be installed.
Sorry for my language mistakes.
P.S. - You can very easy root your phone, with just one click on PC, install this app and then with one click unroot your phone.I know that it sounds scary but is not.

I'd heard a rumor that this missing Movie Maker app as well as missing screen mode may not run well on the AT&T Galaxy Note I717 graphics hardware hence they were removed but the rumor remains totally uncorroborated..
If it's not a hardware issue, perhaps Samsung is worried about additional legal battles with the litigious Apple if they include this (

Movie Maker app in the US market (like the physical home button issue)?
I'd appreciate a better understanding of the rationale behind all these differences between the SGNote models..hopefully it's not a hardware limitation but until it is actually running on the AT&T Galaxy Note I717 that's a possibility..
Hopefully someone in XDA can find out for sure: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511657

Someone wants to compile AOSP for me?

Hey folks! My main pc recently crashed... :crying: So since i have no good pc, i was wondering if someone wants to compile PURE AOSP GINGERBREAD for me. There are no roms that are pure AOSP without mods. What i'm looking for is this:
AOSP 2.3.6 or 2.3.7
Rooted
No Tweaks or Mods
Must contain dutch language and Dutch Dictionary for keyboard
Busybox
No custom apps or theme's etc.
Maybe A2SD?
Anyone wants to make something for a fellow member?

Since you copied ONLY the Swype.apk and libraries, and that Swype is made for stock ROM. That's mean you have to copy TouchWiz related library, permission, and configuration.

Simply copying TW Properties isn't gonna make it work. Some build.prop line must be the problem.

Not stable? Ive been using it for almost a week and I realy like it... its fast( absolutly no wake up lag) and i find it realy stable.
only downside is the gallery...that is kind of slow. I ve installed quickpic to fix that. Maybe ive had no issueses because i did a fresh install and not using stock kernel?
I do have to say that its not such "big" update i was hoping for.
