Will result in touchwiz being extinguished from your tab. Won't be running at the back after you delete it.

Just remember to have another launcher installed prior to doing that .

Anyone tried that without any problems? I have a gt with overcome 1.2.1 rom and kernel!
Which is the filename of the touchwiz i can delete?
I have adw already installed abd working.

If you set another launcher as default and then reboot, it shouldn't run the default launcher anyway.
And the name of the Touchwiz launcher is "TouchWiz30Launcher.apk".
Don't delete it, move it to /sdcard/ so you've got a backup.
You can also just freeze the appa instead of deleting/moving it. Use Titanium Backup or similar to freeze it and then it wont run.
Alternative if you want to remove you can also use SystemApp remover if you cant locate the correct apk.
maybe you can crash something. in P1000L (Brazil) tab, TV app doesn't work without touchwiz...
the phone app will not work without the touchwiz launcher
How to simpy freeze it?cant find its filename in titanium backup!
Uhm,are you sure that touchwize wont load on boot but just adw?

Q how to backup up touchwiz settings

Is there a way?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA App
Hmm, good question. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think it's possible.
Edit: What might work is that you copy the TouchWiz launcher APK. If you're rooted then just go to system/app, find the APK and copy it.
I THINK this will do it.

Use Titanium Backup and System data/app (whatever it called again) backup - scroll down to Twlauncher to backup it settings. This should do it.
I usually do it with mine old Desire to backup the HTC Sense launcher settings, email/gmail settings etc and should be the same with TouchWiz.
But u can only restore, if using same ROM and cant restore the settings on another custom ROM.

Can u be more specific?? like if you want backup all apps use titanium backup, or if you want to store all stuff like s memo, wallpapers, messages etc use Kies.
I have this question as well. Specifically, is there a way to back up the folders in the app drawer as well as the arrangement of icons and Widgets on the home screen?

Why not install a new launcher and make it your default? It is possible to delete it if you are rooted but it is also preferred not to delete it, just to be on the safer side. Always have a backup launcher..

hmm.. if your purpose is to free up space then it's no use. twlauncher is just kb in size. it will only reduce a very little amount of memory. better use app2sd scripts or apps like s2e, link2sd, etc.. to maximize your internal memory..

Sent From my Nokia 8250 using internet
first u need rooted stock!
second u can use app2sd(an option for swap already in there)most easy.
or take swap script from swap2sd script.
third. of course swap partition on SD card.
if you only want a simple step :
1. rooted
2. uninstall the samsung launcher with Titanium Backup
done

apps not showing in app drawer after a restart is a bug on Emanon v5.. after restart, go to Settings>Applications>Running Services, look for Samsung Home the Force Stop it. Press home button to relaunch Samsung Home. You should now be able to see your apps in app drawer. If you have not enabled any s2e option, you can uninstall it directly. Use root explorer, delete s2e apk in /system/app or use titanium backup..

open titanium backup and go to backup/restore tab which is just next to overview (default view) select the app and click uninstall and press ok on all the warnings. only remove bloatware and not any system app or file.
for reference Applications Safe To Remove http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580830
Does the above mentioned link solve only for the rooted devises? Ive downloaded TB, and it is not able to get root permissions on the stock rom. :crying:
Yes.. Only for rooted devices. TB requires root access. As a matter of fact if you want to remove any of the system apps you will need root.
