Hi!
I have looking around for my questions but don´t really find it.
I´m just wondering if anyone who has change his ROM and the phone has been broken and they have to restore it to the original ROM and stock spl if that has been working. I mean, has SE notice that anything has been changed or is safe to do so.......
Please i will have answer on this before i do something
I think you mean to say: "...need to have.."
xda members are doing this all the time for the various carriers, so can't see any difference with SE.
Could depend on what is broken as to how deep they look...

Yes of course thats what i mean. Sorry for my bad english.
So you mean that is a chance that they can see what´s been done if you change the ROM.

At least not for mine (x1i), and my friend's one (x1a) in US. Just got both of them back for crack issue. They previously loaded w/ my rom and restore everything back to stock before we shipped them to repair center.

Just you didn't say reason for the return. As stated, do it right and should be fine. If hardware fault, should have no reason to even look further anyway.

Thanks!
My camera works meaning it opens but the image looks off colored. Its like all the colors are separated. I have checked the modes on the camera while it is open. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this. Posted a picture I took and it had all the basic settings but pictureis still off. Running fasttest 2.9 and its freakin awesome.
I'd wish people would stop posting non-android development stuff in the android development thread...Most likely a hardware issue, you can prove me wrong though. I want to really punch someone in the face right now...Imma punch my own, STOP POSTING IN THE WRONG SECTION D:
would attempt to help if you posted in the right sub section.
new to xda
I didnt know there was a different place to post. What is it?

not going to flame ya......
ya, i had the same problem too, and no switching roms does not help.
its more likely a hardware problem, and i just sent it to t-mobile and got a new one back even though the phone was rooted........
you the same guy who contacted me on the cmupdater support?

The only thing it will do is flash AT&T logo.... can i get it fixed. or i will have to put it for sale as parts ? thanks hope someone can give me a good advice and help me repair it ...

It can definitely be fixed, it's just a matter of how easily it can be done. Have you tried some of the unusual combinations people have come up with to get into download mode. For example removing the battery, holding power + volume down + home and then reinserting the battery whilst these buttons are held?
Also, if you can't get into download mode that doesn't mean you have to sell it as parts. Samsung will be able to repair it, if they can't tell what you did then perhaps they'll repair it for free under warranty.
Sometimes I just wonder why people try to install low-level software on their device that ISNT MEANT for their device. There is a reason, the captivate has a different model number and that is because it requires DIFFERENT software.
This comes close to me flashing the BIOS for an AMD motherboard on my X58 Intel motherboard.
reason for people installing other software is in my case because im STUPID !!! I stood almost 24 h reading forums in my country and stuff , and i googled ODIN the first link was this ODIN ONE CLIK i entered read about things there and it seamed to be for my phone, and from there we know the story. I did not think for one moment that the soft was for another phone. After i broke it i read all 42 pages and realized that.
I can't get the phone to do anything.... i can't charge it ... it's like the USB does not exist. If i start the phone unpluged, when i plug the usb in turns oFF , ass soon as i take out the USB it will start again to flash the AT&T logo...
I hope if i can't fix it, that SAMSUNG service will change it or can repair it and not charge a hunormus amount of money for that
you have give me hope telling that it can be fixed by samsung , and i still am opened for advices from u guys

thanks, im not going to be upset if people make fun, they can do it because i was so stupid not to see that the soft is for another phone and brake it with my own hand. Isn't on this forum someone that works for Samsung and can tell me for sure what to do , or if the service can do ?

if we´d have this guy here, the galaxy s would be worlds top android device out of the box, since this guy would perfectly know what the problems are with it and could easily manage to incorporate fixes found here or based on testing people made here...

Im sorry but you screwed up. Im sure samsung can fix it but charge you heaps of money. You could always "loose" your phone if you have insurance

Well there is a way of getting your phone working by putting a file on your sd card but you'd have to look for that .

Actually, you should try it... I've been told that flashing Intel boards with AMD firmwares allows unlimited overclocking! or not.

I'm sorry for that. It's a little bit of frustration speaking there. But I guess you have a way bigger problem. Although that post about putting the right file on the SD seems interesting (but I haven't heard of anything like that before).
But if you can, returning the phone and hoping that samsung will fix it will be the easiest fix.

Why on earth would you want to do such a thing? I shudder at the thought.
It might not be firmware related... when I was getting random rebooted like that it got worse and worse regardless of the rom used until I finally sent it in and discovered it was the motherboard. Maybe your issue is similar.
hmmmm

No ROM will solve your restarts, if you ran a clean stock ROM and it also had them. It's most probably a HW problem in your phone.
"Overly enthusiastic" MIUI followers tend to push it in every possible thread as the solution for all problems, without even understanding the problem. It's not.
If your Nexus One is under warranty then the best option is to stop playing around with ROMs and send it in for repair.

no warranty
HTC will still repair faults for you but it will be at a price. It might be worth phoning their service dept and having a chat.
What makes you think it's not under warranty anyway? I thought HTC gave the N1 with a 2 year warranty?
i buy nexus one from uk

I would at least try. I bought a N1 off of ebay and the camera stopped functioning altogether after about a month.
I called them, they said that they do warranty's based on the device number, not the based on the original owner.
Also, the bootloader was unlocked. They never said anything.
thanks for info i will try

Hi,
your answer is here!. Seems to be a hardware short circuit.
maybe putting your open device close to a warm source to dry it will give you 15.031969% to save it...
Else, I fear you need Samsung service..
I don't mean to be rude but why did you open a thread here on XDA about this?
This site is for mobile phone/tablet development.
You have bought a faulty device, it happens.
You need to take it back for a replacement, simple.
I hope you get it sorted! It's never nice buying something and it not working properly.

i believe it got something to do with calibration or something related to software
as phone was flashed earlier and it might be something to do with flashing
i was thinking of writing NV calibration data from another phone to see if that may help, but thought of getting more ideas first.
WBR
Oh right, fair enough then. I thought it was brand new and you'd just taken it out of the box.

as good as new, only a few days used, sending it back would be costly
so i thought to get some ideas if it could be calibration data or something, as i have already flashed it but it didn't yield any result..
