I used squad's ROM, it more function but buggy! (sometime get freezy, reboot, delay turn screen on,...)
So, i decided to choose other ROM, more stable, but what should i do choose Mebitek ROM or Kittenlinux ROM ? What better about stable, smooth, batery life ?
p/s: have mebitek ROM fixed GPS ?
Please give me a suggest! thanks

Title says it all. What is the best rom for our device?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
it depends how you use you phone..
if performance and battery long life the best is the cm7 from mebitek
if tweaks and customization the cm7 from squadzone is for you
if you want smoothness use the emanon rom
sorry for my bad english
come one. there's so much question about this.
There's no 'the best one' I suppose.
Every custom ROM have its own advantages.
Even Stock ROM may be the best for several users...

I agree with you
just try everything, understand everything, then you will find what works best for you.
i prefer to use chocobread for my SGM
I have no problem using it
sorry my english is bad
It's all you no point of creating threads like this. Thanks to developers for creating such roms we must no do a poll or anything it may disturb them

Sorry about that. Right now im using squads and i downloaded all the roms. Im gonna try a rom each day and see what rom suites me.

emanon + squadzone cm7.2
First custom rom i had was emanon v4 then v5 those roms i thought look so cool. Ive been using squadzones cyanogen mod for 2 months and it has so many features its awesome! S2e if u know what that is works flawlessly on cm7 but not so for emanon. Andro-id i hear is another good 1 by tj styles i believe let us know what u think if u try andro-id as i havent googled ant screenshots or anything for it
Now I'm using CM7 from squadzone, but it doesn't mean that it is the best for me.
I agree that every ROM has their own benefit. Just make sure you know what you want to do with ur SGM, and understand what ROM fit with your needs.

Cyanmobile initial A full realase or cyanogenmod 9 beta 7???

I've never used cyanogen 9, but I'm on cyanmobile initial A. I think it's wiser to use cyanmobile at this point because all of its features are working. I suspect that Cyan 9 performance is better though (it's ICS!) but things like the camera and radio don't work. For everyday use, run cyanmobile.

Hi! Best thing is that you can try both. Flash cm9 and if you like it stay if not try cyanmobile. Im testing now cm9 and it's smooth but it is beta and you must remember this when you're using this rom . Try what you like most. Good luck, i hope you find your perfect rom
here
cyanmobile initial a final must be the best, its the magic of ics in cm9 beta 7 that is making it a good rom,but still there is some serious problems like data connecticity, camera ,fm not working, but if you dont use these its a very good rom,its ganming performance is average neocore results around 68 fps with sound od ,so go for cyanmobile.
spent some considerable time in givin you suggestions,i think you will not hesitate to spend few seconds to press the thanks button

i think u should go with cyanmobile for everyday use..
cz in cm9 u cant use camera function..
galaxyics settings not running..
and some other minor bugs are there as well..
cyanmobile is running flawless on galmin..
u better try it!
best of luck..
press thanks if i helped u..
Hi! In my opinion Cyanmobile drains battery way too quick, go for cm7.2 by mebitek or kittenlinux, eventually miui gb beta2 by bravovn (my personal favorite)
Go for Official CyanogenMod7 or Nightlies. It will be more stable.
The beta version of CM9 can't use camera. I think it can't stand for daily use.
CyanMobile for daily use.. have a good performance and cool looking rom.. very stable.. (even though b4 now i had a random restart.. LOL)
CyanogenMod 9 for show off you phone.. like "i got ICS on my Phone, dude.!"
I use cyanmobile, the battery life looks good, but i can't say this about official version cm7.2 rc1! For me problem with cyanmobile is sometimes i get force close!
Sorry for mt bad english.
Cyanmobile is the best rom..

Stick to it.
Just keep this in mind:
1. You can use the kittenlinux's mebitek's deodexed variant (They are both built from Pure CM) in case you want nightlys or weeklys, they are almost the same (I actually flash Mebitek's original build without wiping data without trouble on top of kittenlinux's)
2. I haven't tried the gps on mebitek's latest release (version 1.2) but it was fixed on kittenlinux's mebitek's deodexed latest weekly in case you want extra fast sat fixes.
3. Adding slaidy's scripts has been great for me (it's extra smooth, somehow better than Adrenaline's).
So: Use Mebitek's (1.2), add Salidy's scripts, in case you have gps problems try the gps.conf from kittenlinux's (they are different).
Im currently using mebitek's cm7 (1.2) it works just fine

Move it to sd card
Mount system
And then flash
But before flashing be sure that you dont have any other script on ur phone
It's basically a perfomance booster

Agree.Cyanmobile is all about functions and tweak but it a bit less stable than cyanogemod (at least for me )
If you want to port a rom yourself, there's already a tut in the dev section.. you might want to try it.

Just try cyanmobile. It is very good rom, with so much different tweaks that cause that phone can be less stable but sometimes it works much better than others roms.
I have been using cm7.2 v1.2 by Mebitek for a long time now and just recently switched to cm7.2 offical build.. No doubt, Mebitek's build was amazing but it did not offer me a good battery life so i tried the official build(stable).. I noticed it has Squadzone's kernel.. and the performance is pretty much the same.. So, the question is does changing the kernel gives a good battery life or should i just switch back to Mebitek's build???
I would really like to know if it offers more battery backup than Mebitek's build..
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
If you change stock kernel from CM 7.2 official you have to change the wifi module from mebitek build

I see.. but i don't want to change kernels.. i mean cyanmobile X has a good battery life and it's by Squadzone and with his kernel.. so, i just wanted to know does the official build has more battery life or just the same(as it's using Squadzone's kernel)??
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
kernel is not only factor there are more like the amount of services the rom or you are running at a time the brightness you are using etc.
How much could you save from either of roms, 1hr? 2hr?

CM10 (can't remember which nightly I used) doesn't have those problems either.
Apparently ShenduOS is also really good. I haven't had time to test it yet.

you obviously dont know how to use the phone. latest cm10 nightly dont have that bugs, maybe the battery drain but it depends on how you use the phone but my experience with any gb roms specially stock is the same battery life with cm10, so everyone can use it now as a daily driver aside from you caveman who dont know how to use your ob.

nightly from 20121111 or 20121114 have an exelent battery duration, the only issues that I had so far, is GPS takes around 10 minutos to lock a satelite, and the camera crashes every time you try to record a video, photos works great
Does som1 has the problem that the softkeys aren't working?? i did all 3 wipes but they still don't work
Can you guys please tell me what firmware (KDZ/AP+CP) you are using?? or is it a hardware issue??
When using CWM or CynMod7 (boype's) they respond great, but using cm10 they don't work at all (not responding, lights are on!)
I had the same issue and solved formating /system. I'm using RR JB v3.

Doesn't make much sense, if you flash a stock ROM you need to root first to flash a custom ROM and if you want a custom ROM why flash a stock ROM first?
