How to install:
You need to have FARDJADB's S-OFFed HBOOT
Extract downloaded package.
Rename your desired .img file to splash1.img.
Double click splasher.bat & it'll do everything for u
Note: "waiting for device" will remain for few seconds once ur device will reboot into bootloader)

You can flash in fastboot with: fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img

Sorted! Found some scripts, put them together and splash img done. It was not so difficult and not to long.

Any1 have the down animation?
should this be renamed to htc_bootanimation.zip or should the htc_bootanimation.zip in the data/local be erased? i just copied the bootanimation.zip from the first post and still getting the RCmix boot animation thing. help? first time doing this, am using root explorer
also does the rw-r-r-- mean something?right now this one says r-xrwxr-x while the other two (htc_boot/down) say rw-r-r--

just in case anyone is as dumb as me when it came to installing/applying the bootloader, in runny 1.3, copied to data/local and renamed the attached in post 1 zip to htc_bootanimation.zip and renamed the htc_bootanimation.zip to anything else.
Here, i made it for MIUI, just put it in the /MIUI/theme/ folder, and select from the Theme editor

The Numbers don't appear like your Screen Shot, but apart form that very good.

I have tried installing it via CWM Recovery but it says " Status 0, Installation abort" Do I have to install it in any other way.

It doesnt matter which version you are running. You just need root to replace the original bootanimation. It should work with GB, ICS and JB.
EDIT:
I researched a little about this and it seems that bootanimations are a kernel feature so you have to know if your kernel supports Bootanimations. Somtimes the file bootanimation.zip is named differently or located in different folders.
