Thanks again for your work.
No this is not a flashable,this is only file img that you want to replace.this can be use for all rom
nice!
Hmmm Your post inspired me to make a boot screen of my own
I liked the idea of something simple yet a bit more classy look, so I made this up, based on the US Version of the device, the Ascend X (I always liked that name better than Ideos, that's why I made this)
I don't mind sharing if anyone is interested

Everything you need to know is pretty much here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938988
It's quite self explanatory. Put in a bmp of 800x480 resolution into the working folder, run the program, and it outputs the img version of it.
That's just about it, the rest is photoshop skills
Can you please post the original CSL spice slash image, the one with the android logo not the boot animation with sound, just the one with the android logo. Thanks

Hello - nice work man. Question - I've played around before with adding files to the bootscreen folder, however this appears to not work in this manner. I simply want to add a .mp3 to the boot while using your screens. Any idea?
Credits to bernard_photography who initially made the animations and a version for the CDMA Hero
This should work for any device on any ROM
I have not tested the WVGA version since I don't have a Desire or Nexus (or something like that) so please tell me if it fits with the screen
Help me spread this awsome bootscreen: Post it on the theme section for your device!

Instructions:
1. Boot your phone into recovery mode by holding the "home-" and "power" button
2. Go to your backup menu and select "NANDROID BACKUP"
3. Flash the .zip file that fits your resolution
4. (If anything goes wrong) Go to your backup menu and select "NANDROID RESTORE"
If you would ever like to restore the original boot screen flash your ROM .zip on top of this but remember if you've made other changes to your ROM they will disappear (themes etc.)

WVGA: for devices like Nexus One with the screen resolution 480 x 800

Hey everyone, i just created a boot animation for my GT540, im a big fan of swiftdroid, anyway... heres my problem
i moved it to Root://System/Media
So i have 2parts in my bootanimation
Part0 which plays only 1 time and goes first:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Part1 which loops and goes after part0:
Everything works good and i really like my work, but the problem is, I see Default Swiftdroid logo at the start for like 10sec, and only after few seconds my animations pops up, is there anyway to remove the Default swiftdroid logo so my new animation would replace the Default swiftdroid logo completely ?
If you guys can help me, ill provide link of my animation, and instructions how to install it :S
a video will describe my problem better ( sorry for low quality, i just didnt had a better camera to film it )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOtODDxYOUw my animation starts only at ~0:45sec
The swiftdroid logo is held in the kernel but if i remember there is a way to replace on the htc g1 ill have a look for you.

i dont know if it just on my computer but it look to me that part1 coud cause someone an epileptic fit.
@eoghan2t7
it would involve using the dump_image binay to extranct the boot.img. then decompiling it, replacing the image(i think it in the ram disk which also needs decompiling separatle), then recompiling boot.img and flashing it.

Does the images flash black/white to you ? :s
It is the initlogo.rle file that is shown on boot, it is in the root of the ramdisk. Just use dsixda's Android Kitchen to extract the boot.img file, much easier than manually doing it.
Thanks man, ill try it!

BTW, .rle is a bitmap-type file, but I think it is compressed, Paint and many other conventional tools cant open it, but I was looking somewhere and did find a converter, i'll have to check that out.

Hi all,
I made myself a new start-up splashscreen to celebrate the evermore stable Android 4.1 AOSP ROMs which are coming through at the moment, and I thought I’d share it with you.
Then I made a slight adjustment in anticipation of the imminent 4.2 release.
And then, as I had the graphics to hand, I made them into a wallpaper in case anyone would like it.
For those who believe that the HTC Incredible S now has a new lease of life with Jelly Bean, these are for you...
The Splash Screens look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
INSTRUCTIONS – S-OFF ONLY (sorry S-ON users!)
You must unzip the attached folders – they are not flashable in recovery! - the Splash Screen and wallpapers are in here too.
Get just the 'splash1.img' file from within the attached .zip and place it in your adb/fastboot tools folder on your PC (google it if you don’t know what this means.).
Then go to CMD prompt on your PC and set CD to the tools folder.
Connect your phone to your PC via USB.
Set your phone in ‘USB bootloader’ mode, then type in at CMD prompt on your PC:
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
Wait for the confirmation in CMD (takes less than a second normally).
And that’s it, job done! :fingers-crossed: Reboot to see it appear before the bootanimation.
EDIT: Added realigned wallpapers so the text isn't behind the buttons - see attached 'edited' zip for all originals repositioned!
If you want to revert back to the original white HTC Splash Screen at any point, please find it also attached. Follow the exact same instructions as above to install it.
Any tweaks or requests for variations of the above images ‘may be considered’ if, a) I understand what you want, b) I am physically capable of doing it (I’m no expert!), and c) if I get time!
Please use my files as required.
In case you wondered, I'll probably not do a new bootanimation as the standard CyanogenMod animation is and doesn’t need changing!
Any screens?
