Modem is absolutely independent of the Rom you are using. This means
that it's safe to flash any one of them, and everything will work fine.
Even if you flash a GB modem on an ICS Rom and vice-versa.
With CWM? Its safe? I dont wanna brick my Note

No, not with CWM.
1. Download any modem zip you want.
2. Keep extracting until you get modem.bin file.
3. Put modem.bin (do not rename it) on your SD card
4. Download Mobile Odin Pro or Lite from the playstore
5. Start Mobile Odin
6. Browse to your modem.bin
7. Flash
No danger of bricking your phone whatsoever.
All working good. Thanks m8.

So i found that i can't play modern combat 3 and Nova ICS, losing stability, also recently I need video recording so I'd like to ask how can i get back to older rom? Is it enough if I have recovery? Also ICS does not provide me contacting with my pc by cable... Very frustrating too.
So what I have to do to install some GB rom?
If you made a nandroid backup of a GB rom like CM7. Just wipe everything and restore that nandroid backup in recovery mode.
If you didn't, then:
Go to recovery
Wipe everything
Wipe cache
Install zip from sdcard (CM7 ROM for example)
(Optional) install zip from sdcard (CM7 Kernel)
Install zip from sdcard (Google Apps)
After that you should be done.
Obviously you must make a backup beforehand...
Aren't you supposed to revert your filesystem to ext3 first?
I don't think so, I believe CM7 is also EXT4. But you can also do it, because there's no harm by doing it
Thanks guys for Ur answer, ale helped me a lot.
Cheers.

Hi,
I just flashed hydracore v7 STD (I know that it's old) and I have issues with vibration and camera. (rom: XXLRT). I tried to flash another kernel, but the phone won't boot, only recovery and download mode working. I tried another and another and nothing... I flashed again hydracore and the phone booted.
Is there the possibility to flash another kernel without flashing a new rom with wipe?

Hello everyone,
Everytime I try to enable data connection on my upgraded to JB I9070, it's signal keeps breaking. It just can't stay connected to mobile data (and voice too). If I disable it, I can use voice with no problems.
What should I look at? What could I do?
Thanks in advance

Using official firmware of any region won't increase the binary counter.
Since in India jb isnt released yet, if you go with the russian jb to the service centre, your warranty may get void.
Others ... Correct me if am wrong.

All that depends on warranty giver. So if they say he can't use fw outside his country, he will not have warranty.

If you are on Gingerbread ROM, you don't need it. But if you are on different Android like froyo or ics/jb, you need to install full 3-part ROM (PDA, MODEM, CSC, pit), and then the 1-part ROM like this one here
