How to backup current stock ROM...?
well what i am familiar about is on a rooted version you could go to "cwm" via the 3-button-combination to do a "NANDROID BACKUP" and see a menu like this image...

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
just click
backup and restore>backup
(it will automatically backup your current rom, this is what people usually do just in case something happen while trying to update to another rom or custom firmware so you could revert back to what rom your phone was in)
and from what i know if your phone is not rooted it would have something like this on the system menu via the 3-button-combination...
as you can see it doesn't have the option of backup and restore... so i suggest you root your phone to the current stock rom, and btw you should atleast have 1gb free mem as from my experience backup of stock rom usually takes a lot of memory around 800mb+ depends on what stuffs you got on your phone...
btw what stock rom are you on anyway? if ever you're planning to ROOT your phone make sure its the right version for your stock rom... applying the wrong one is dangerous might kill your phone...

I've messed up my efs folder, and idioticly didn't back up, and now my phone doesn't work with my sim card, so I'm shipping it off to Samsung to get fixed up. But of course, I've rooted, used half a dozen different roms and firmwares, and I'm not really too sure how to cover up all my tracks.
I've unrooted using BackfireNL's method for Eclair, before upgrading to Froyo (just to make sure).
In my 'About Phone', though, three things are concerning me. my Baseband, kernal version and build number. My Baseband version is 'I9000XXJPP' and my build number is 'FROYO.XXJPO'. These don't seem very official looking to me. I've flashed the JPO rom from Samfirmware.
And, more worrying is my kernal version.
'2.6.32.9
root(at)sep-35 #1'
(I couldn't put an at symbol cause the system thought I was trying to post a link)
Surely it's not supposed to say 'root' all up in there, plain as day? Is there an official stock kernal I can flash? I've had a search, but I can't seem to find one.
Those are the correct settings for the JPO ROM.
I have exactly the same and haven't rooted yet:

Cant you just format the internal sd from the recovery blot?

Why should something to convert? MIUI exelent flasher from rooted GB 2.3.6
What? I didnt get you?
I didn't converted I just installed this apk to check system details and I was having force closes on every app I tried cwm and cleaned cache and dakvik cache but it wasn't working. Can anyone tell why MIUI has force close issue?It start giving fc any time.

Yes it is normal. MIUI is based off Cyanogen mod which uses it's own file system (that yaffs you see there).
As far as i know you can't really convert yaffs to rfs nor there should be a need to do so. If you want to go back to a samsung based rom, all you need to do is flash one with odin by ticking the repartition option. Odin will restore samsung's partitions with their own file systems (RFS), no need to worry.
Just look up and follow a tutorial to do so, there are plenty about.
EDIT:
Just seen your latest post, search a bit dude, there are LOADS of posts around describing the force-close issue with cyanogen/miui roms. Solution is fast, simple and without loss of data, there is no need to return back to anything if that's the problem. To put it simple, one of your partitions (data) just ran out of space regardless of what that app says.
what this means ? This is what i got after flashing a Gb rom through ODIN

Sorry fella i have no real clue this is my first post and i am a total noob... Still laughing from the video before registering. But heres my totally uninformed first thought, could it be that it needs to have writable sd partition, hopefully someone substantially more informed will help you out soon. I just thought id post because i noticed no one else had and youd only had one view. Lol Ive a bit of an issue myself but im a little afraid to post after the vid, even though iv'e been scouring internet for days with no answers! Lol good luck bud hope it all works out
Have you rooted your phone before flashing? Also, have you tried to do the wipes on the recovery?
Not sure if any of those will fix it for you, but eh, it's better than nothing
Is the romantic on the phone partition or on a external sd card, and have you set the install location to the correct partition

i guess you have not rooted your phone..
and if you did..you are trying to flash a rom through stock recovery?
please search before you know what to do..
we only flash it via cwm recovery, mobile odin or pc odin..
am i correct?
What are you trying to flash, rom type, backup? Need more info.

What is firmware 3? ... Have you tried doing a full wipe and clean install to see if the problem persists? You could also try flashing a different ROM and see if the problem's still there.
Make a Nandroid first and you can test it out and revert back to your current setup.

He's talking about the Gpe 4.3 hboot. So basically the latest firmware.
@OP
If you have s-off you could try downgrading your firmware and see if anything changes.

Looks like dirt on the sensor (not on the lens), so it's hardware. You'll not notice it every time, it depends on several settings such as aperture.

Hi everyone,
few days ago i decided to flash custom ROM instead of my stock 4.1.1 android to my Smasung Galaxy S3 LTE. Everything seems to be fine but when i wanted to make backup through CWM it did it but to the last cwm folder in storage/emulated and then i couldn't make recovery from it. The path of my actual place where is the data is storage/emulated/0. I don't know why the old files are saved in storage/emulated, i can't see them in my windows. Only root browser can show them. Can i delete them? Or can i just change my new storage/emulated/0 path to the old one and use my old apps with new ROM? This is very annyoing problem cus i've got ~16 gb Samsung, and windows shows that there is only 11 gb available and a lot of this space is coverd by files i can't even see. How can i fix it?
