I hate planes. Being 6'2" might be the reason.
I took a 9 hour trip by train to Niagara Falls, and I enjoyed it. I had internet on it, though very slow, and had A LOT of leg room. ANd it was cheaper than a plane.
Longest trip about 18 hrs, ~7,500 miles. 1 stop and wasn't able to get off plane for that stop. Long day!
I was traveling last week. I was flying home from Malta, so i "had to" fly to Rome, missed my next flight to Oslo, so i had to buy a new ticket, almost lost that flight too. Got to Oslo, had to wait for two hours there and then it was off to Bergen.
Total time = Around 12 hours (it could have taken 4 )
I love flying, and it's fun with free wifi 10000 feet up in the air, but i hate Airports. After this trip, i've added Rome's airport on my blacklist of airports to avoid in the future. It was the worst thing i've ever experienced. Stay away.
Speaking of Airports, the Dublin airport is awesome. It's like a Guinness Wonderland, with bartenders wondering why you are drinking a few pints of guinness at 5 in the morning.

Many a time I've been sat at the bar in an airport at 6am, waiting for it to open so I can start my week-long drink binge that involves a flight, a week somewhere hot and nasty, and then a return flight. It's pretty much drinks ahoy the whole time! I might add that last time I did that we were at the bar till 6:30 when our plane left at about 6:45. How dare the captain interrupt our pints!
I do love flying, but I agree with LM. Airports are a pain. Anyone been to the airport in Bodrum, Turkey? It was nice enough when we landed but it was like the most packed out oven in the world when we had a 3 hour wait for our plane on the way back. I was out of cash too so couldn't simply drink my way through it!
I actually like airports. I like how everything works there. They did loose my baggage at Heathrow though, which ended up going to France and getting to me 1.5 months later, and I was leaving Poland in 2 more weeks.
Also the Dusseldorf airport is nice and clean, a lot of walking though.
And I wanted to drink on the plane, but they had those tiny cans of heineken for $10, of which I only bought two, and on the airport I still don't know how much I paid but I gave the guy $10, and he gave me back €1 lol. On my way back, I somehow paid with USD that I was left with €15 which was enough for some awesome toast and 2 more pints of Guinness. the last pint I just took the glass, and went to chill at my gate waiting for the plane, and everyone was looking weird at me. I think it was 7 in the morning.

lol yeah, you do get some funny looks knocking a few back when it's not even double figures o'clock.
I like airports when they're fully open, and especially if they're air conditioned when in a hot country. My problem is we always go for cheap "lads" holidays and the flights before about 7pm are always the cheapest. We get to the airport typically about 3am and there's nothing open except a coffee shop that doesn't sell anything other than coffee, tea and yesterday's leftovers. Now that I don't like.
Bummer about your luggage at Heathrow. I've thankfully never had that happen yet. Hope it never does!

Well my stuff was lost because my flight from JFK was late 3 hours because of heavy rain and a fuel spill. lol. I had to wait in a line for 2 hours to book a room in a hotel. So a while ago KanYe West dropped some shoes... now the Air Yeezy's those were kinda fail, but the KanYe West x Louis Vuitton... yeah.
I wanna get a pair but at the same time, don't have $1,000+ to blow on a pair of shoes that I'll grow out of in a month, so I have 2 choices;
1) Get soe knock-offs for like, $100 - $150.
2) Get another kind of shoes that look just as nice.
That's why I started this Thread. I don't wanna do Option 1, but if I have to, I will. So Option 2, can anybody help me out and show me some nice shoes that would go really really nice with skinny jeans?
Go to the nearest footlocker and buy yourself a pair of Chuck taylors. They´ll go for around 50 bucks, and they look great with skinny jeans.
I go the way of my ancestors and just don't wear shoes.
Just walk into a Louie store and demand every pair of Kanye West x Louie's they have in stock. That's what I did.... They were really generous!
Uhh. Chucks are soo... ehh. 8th grade.
Oh yeah. I hope you trip and a rock cuts off your big toe!
Hmm. Maybe I should. I'll go for it!

Video shows woman smashing window over McNuggets
(AP) – 6 hours ago
TOLEDO, Ohio — A security video from a McDonald's in Ohio shows a woman punching two restaurant employees and smashing a drive-thru window because she couldn't get Chicken McNuggets. The tantrum caught on tape in Toledo earlier this year shows the customer reaching through the drive-thru window, slugging one worker and then another. She then grabs a bottle out of her car and tosses it through the glass window before speeding off.
It happened early on New Year's Day. Police say Melodi Dushane was angry that McNuggets weren't being served, because it was breakfast time.
Dushane says she was drunk at the time. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail last month and ordered to pay McDonald's for the broken window.
The video was released Monday when it became public record.

Evil Stepmother.
15, had a single mother at the time and she bailed, didn't wanna be a mom anymore. Lived with an older couple for a couple months then the school counselor helped me get emancipated to make it all legal. I was signing my own school paperwork and permission forms, bills, loans, and student aid papers before I could buy ciggs.
15 originally. My mother didn't like me spending nights with my GF of that time; so i moved in with her instead! Guess what i was doing at a time when i should have been doing my exams?
Anyway, that ended so i moved home until i was 17 when i moved out for good. Been supporting myself ever since.
Those of you that have a supportive family and good home life should stay there for as long as they'll put up with you. It's the easiest way to save money for your future.

Hell freakin yeah. Amen. It's cool to live out on your own, bring chicks back to YOUR place. But you'll be regretting that move out when you're paying for college, rent, electric, gas, insurance, booze and weed at college with the money you're making flippin burgers full time just being grateful they give you a free meal once a day. Chicks don't like dudes with no money, even if he is living at his own apt. Bring em home to the spider man sheets. People usually move out when they pass out of school..
I passed out of school.. got into college in the same city so didn't have to move out.
Passed out of college and got my first job close to my home so still living with them
Will move out if my work sends me else where or if I take a job elsewhere
moved out of home when I was 18 for stydies and work then came back at 25 cause of financial crysis at my country. No job no money
Finally got a decent job and trying to save some money so i can plan my next move but it's not an easy thing cause my family bussiness is preety much ruined by this situation so i got to support them too
I'm 25 now and living at my parents house. We've been moving 3 years ago, now the whole family has to help out on that farm stuff, which will take maybe 1 or sometimes 2 weeks in a year so nothing special.
I do not have to cook myself which is probably the best thing cause when u get home after work, pretty tired and u have to cook - that's probably one thing that goes for days but not months or years
I'll stay maybe one or maybe two years here, then I'll find myself a place - atleast that's the plan, cause it's not always good to be here, and some day everyone has to go it's own way.
Wow interesting answers... I was 17 when I left. Dropped out of hs and started working 3 jobs...Couldn't stand my mom stealing all my weed and she hated me taking all her box wine and store brand vodka..hehe. but if I had a "normal family" id still be living there! I'm thinking of moving out in a few years. I'm still in university and working, I'm 19 I turn 20 by the end of the year. My mom's always been a single mother since she came to Canada, so I want to be able to help her out as much as possible and even though I'm 19... I get spoiled, hahaha so I still live with her.

/Rant
I generally avoid Wal-Mart like The Plague. I know that I can always expect to see disgruntled employees who generally give two craps less about me than I do about them. I also know that I will find 50 registers and only 6 of them open at any given time. I also know that the other patrons of the store are going to be more embarrassing to me as a member of this species than to themselves.
Knowing all of this in advance, I decided that I could avoid the interactions and have a simple in-and-out experience by purchasing my item online and simply picking it up at the store. I made sure to purchase it at noon today so that when I finished working, I could just swing by, pick up my stuff and leave. Six hours is plenty of time to fill a single item order.
I received a confirmation e-mail saying my item was ready for pickup at four o'clock. I finished up work around five thirty and headed over there. I got to the store and went to customer service at about five forty-five. I stood in line waiting for someone, anyone, to show up to man the CS counter. After waiting for ten more minutes and having two other associates page for help, I began to think that this was not going to be the simple journey I had imagined.
A CS rep finally showed up and "helped" the two people in front of me. She then picked up the phone that had been ringing since before I was in the line and proceeded to have a long conversation with someone who didn't seem to want to make a trip to the store to process a refund. I imagine she wanted Wal-Mart to mail her the cash, but that's just me.
Finally she turned her attention my way and told me that I was in the wrong department. I had to go to the back of the store to pick up my order. Fine. Whatever. I just want my stuff, so I can leave.
I went all the way to the back of the store to the pick up counter, which, of course, was not manned. I wandered around and found someone who kindly paged someone to help me. I sat and waited for ten minutes before getting up and finding someone else. This happened twice more before a manager finally showed up and told me that the pick up counter was closed. I showed him my e-mail confirmation which expressly said I had until ten o'clock that evening to pick up my crap. I also informed him that I had already been waiting 45 minutes for someone to help me.
As it turns out, the girl who was supposed to be at the counter was simply on her break. She finally got around to helping me, and said that the order had not yet been picked. I asked her why they sent me an e-mail saying it was ready. She wasn't sure, but vowed to find out. I sighed at that and asked if I could just go grab it off of the shelf myself. Electronics was thirty feet from where I was standing. She said that if I pulled it off of the shelf myself, I would have to purchase it separately. What the F*** ever.
She consulted with some other girl who showed up to join the discussion. I paced to show my frustration. It was now approaching seven o'clock. They disappeared into the warehouse to find my item as though it were some magical artifact on some RPG quest.
At seven twenty-five in the evening - one hour and forty minutes after I showed up at the store - the girls reemerged and produced the item I ordered. I waited for them to finish logging it out of the system, grabbed it, and left without any further words to them.
Total time from parking to leaving - 1 hour, fifty minutes.
Abridged version
I bought something on Walmart.com to pick up at the store. They sent me an e-mail saying it was ready. I went to pick it up, but it wasn't ready. I waited while several incompetent employees tried to sort out the mess. It took almost two hours to park, get my stuff, and leave.
Please share your thoughts.
For those unfamiliar:
Walmart is a national chain supermarket. They are famous for having everything you need from birth to death, but no employees competent enough to help you make a purchase.
Once I went to walmart and then I walked back out...the end!
Also Walmart is notorious for having unmanned departments...I hardly ever shop there.

I've been to Walmart once, in Mississauga, That's in Ontario...Canada...I live in New York. Yep, no wall marts here in the city. And I only went into that walmart to buy a redbull.
I work across the street from one and had my usual split shift, being bored as $hit I took it upon myself to sit infront of the store and record the amount of overweight customers visiting the store. I sat there for an hour and a half drinking malt whisky out of a travel mug counting the scum of the neighbourhood. There were hundreds of ticks on my notepad in that time and I believe the end result was the majority of the patrons were between the ages of 40 and 55 and of them 80% were what I would call overweight. I even made a graph to hang up in my locker to remind myself what I would become if I fell for everyday low prices on high fat foods. Of all the age groups I counted 78% were overweight and out of the hundreds of people I saw there was only one 10/10 and she was walking out of the store with a large amount of toilet paper. :|

I must be super lucky. The WalMart in my town always has manned stations, accepts returns within a month no matter the condition, but employees have no idea about anything in the store except where it is, yet they're nice people HEB is even awesomer, so many free samples. You don't even have to buy anything, and you could've consumed a meal, and I know so many people that work there ^_^ Sadly, besides my small part of town, Walmart, HEB, the movies, the square, the lake beach and some other places are considered the centers of the town and people say it's boring :/ I'm content with all of that o: I think that's alot!
PS, I only order online with Amazon.

If I hadn't paid with a credit card (she could have looked up who I was after I left) I would have called over a manager and made a big stink about her being rude.

Wow. That's not only rude, but also unhealthy. You can't combine those items in a bag. My first job was at a Winn-Dixie when I was 15. That was back when you could still get a job at 15, so I guess I'm showing my age a bit here...
We weren't allowed to put different items in the same bag like that. It didn't matter if it took one bag per item. You just can't put ammonia with bread.... idiots....
never experienced any problems.... maybe because ive never been to wal-mart
Not to offend anyone, but I worked at Walmart off and on, usually during the holidays for extra cash. Walmart is all about political correctness and empowering women in management positions, and well, you all see the end result of that business model. A lot of their policies and way of doing things is very counter productive in a business. Ask any employee to best explain how Walmart operates, to sum it up in one word.....clusterfuck.
Making fun of ppl in walmart is fun.

I've got a tux for xmas work do's, and just bought a 3 piece suit for my wedding this saturday.
£72 from Jacomo with their 25% discount on first orders
i wear a suit everyday for work. I currently own 14 suits (seven summer / seven winter) so i can have two at the dry cleaners every week while rotating through five. Then I buy 2 new suits every 10 months and ditch the oldest. Even though i live in Philly, i have a tailor in NYC who makes them for me. The pricing all depends on materials selected and since i go through them so quickly, I generally get a medium grade. Custom suits are the way to go because a good tailor can hide some little weight changes.
Oh, i also own three tuxes. Not custom, just bought them off the rack but good names like Burberry, Hickey Freeman and Boss. Had them tailored as well...
I love suits! Most of my jobs i've had through the years requires me to wear a suit, so i don't really have a choice. But i love them so it's not a problem.
I wear them for work.

Thanks for the kind words
She's one in a million, can cook, has a 42" HD tv, bluray, xbox360, wii, extensive video collection, likes zombies and sci fi, is good with money and doesn't mind me working on the car. Also has no scary mood swings! i am sooooo lucky!

Wow...its been a few years since I wore it. In fact, I realized it probably existed in the storage container I had. Everything in it was incinerated in a fire. This is a video I made of said container... features my 6 year old daughter when she was 3...RIP, polyester suit.
