Vanilla ROMs - LG Optimus 2x

Are there any later "Vanilla" ROMs out than MoDaCo's Gr6?
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA

CM7 is pretty "vanilla".

Wrong tread mate, all stock roms are, the apps not needed, remove them from zip or freeze with titanium backup...

guys what does "vanilla" mean in this case? :-D
Sent from my Optimus 2X using xda premium

That the rom is a stock android experience.
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk

vanilla means a backup of an original stock rom, unchanged, nothing entered or values changed. end user experience..

Ok, but that adds some extra efforts needed as well as waste of space. Also, what about ie "vanilla" lock screen? Is it available at all in LG stock roms?

If i remember it right, it's available if you change the line "LockScreenAndy" in build.prop from true to false

Hi guys,
for know am running stock rom on mine so am forced to use tw but am intersted once ics is out to take full advantage of its UI but without tweaking with the rom and without adding a different launcher and without loosing any functionalities of my phonethe question: is it possible?
thx in advance.
you would have to flash a custom rom thats its either cm9 or aosp version
So it is impossible to have ics stock Rom on my phone...:-(

It is impossible for all of us to have stock ICS on our Notes, since it hasn't been released yet.
But don't lose hope, the initial release is expected within a month or so.
But yout do lose s-pen with cm9!

I don't have a note, but we can do this on any other touchwiz device I've ever tried. Go to settings -> applications -> all -> twlauncher -> clear defaults. Then when you press the home button, it should give you a choice of launchers, one of which is the reg Google launcher. I'm currently using that I'm my leak build of ics for the epic touch. So I assure you, when they release it for the note, it will be possible.

or its quite possible that it just isnt available on the note like it is on other devices
my "clear defaults" button is greyed out...
I can confirm you only get tw launcher with the note. But you should be able to download the gingerbread launcher apk and install it on the note. Then jut uninstall the tw launcher.
in this case which one will be faster?

Cm9 Nova HD issues

Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA
Many people have installed this ROM, and many people have different issues in this ROM as I am having battery issue and does anyone have any solutions for this?:sly:
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA
Battery make sure u using correct ril, download getril from market
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk
More clear
Try the Ril as hd2000 says..
You can also wipe the batterystats (not for a longer batterylife but to make sure the statistics are correct)
or try another rom.. I've seen a difference between roms with batterylife...
when i tried to change the video mode than camera shows error 'unfortunately camera stopped working'.
can anyone send me proper solution...plz. plz.
LG Optimus 2x
Nova HD Rc17-30
Use videocam illusion from market for record from CM9!
Sent 2X faster with my LG
you can't use video right now because there is no Hardware Acceleration availabe....its best to wait or else switch to cm7

anyone else with the same problem?
If you have bad battery life on cm9, try harch kernel. My battery life has improved alot since I flashed that kernel.

I honestly don't think anyone will put any effort in porting a CM7 rom, as we already have CM10.1 working on our devices.
Maybe you can request for the modded apps and install them over a different base rom.
EDIT: I might do that as i have some free time, but i really have no idea if it's going to work. So no promises
Atleast make this from 10.1 version pls.....
Request....if sumone

Neither do I, I'm just testing stuff out
There was never a CM7 for this device so I wouldn't be able to compile CM7 and manually copy the necessary files over. If you find a CM10.1 version of the same thing I can do it for you.

Gave up, as com.android.phone stops working as soon as it boots.
Didn't had enough willpower to test with stock phone and another mix of apps.
The rest of the rom worked fine (except it looked like a crApple thing).

[LAUNCHER] LG Optimus G2 Launcher with Knock feature

Hey people ! I found this amazing launcher yesterday ans I just wanted to be sure that you'll try it !!!
It is amazingly fast and smooth and it has all the basic features of LG Home including the transitions and the customizable drawer.
Double tap on the launcher will lock your device but if your phone is locked it won't be waken up by double tap.
All credits goes to the developpers : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518570.
