Help!! I am replacing my HD7 digitizer. I ordered digitizer+front cover screen from ebay. I think they are glue together. Do I need to heat damage digitizer and separate it or i can just remove it and change the new one? Do I need to remove the LCD screen? or its safe to leave it as the problem is the digitizer.
Thanks
zomg then ...

First of all, HI to every one, this forum is excellent and u are doing excellent job.
I have one problem, yesturday my htc tytn Ii felt down from half meter and from that time my touch screen is not working . screen is working fine but touch no ...what can i do? to open a case and see if conector is maybe disconected or ? is there need buying new lcd screen?
You can try opening it up and disconnect/reconnect the touch digitizer ribbon cable, if that doesn't work buy a new touch screen digitizer. They're fairly cheap.
so correct me if i'm wrong, there are two parts on the display? lcd screen and that touch screen digitizer??and digitizer is on top?
Yes, there's the LCD screen, then on top the digitizer.
the digitizer costs about 15 bux on ebay, and the lcd with the digitizer costs about 50. my touchscreen stopped responding awhile back, so i had to replace it. word of advice though. the digitizer is kinda build into the lcd, and it is a huge pain (atleast 4 me) to replace it. i ended up cracking my screen doing it, and had to but the whole lcd.
so your suggesting to buy entire lcd screen with digitizer on it?
You can get the lcd+ digitizer from yallstore for 35$ http://www.yallstore.com/htc-tilt-tytn-ii-att-8925-lcd-touch-screen-replacementt56-p-874.html
Which is exactly what i ordered on thursday after my screen cracked.
Replacing JUST the digitizer is quite tricky, i don't know if any of you guys have done it (i have) and it was pretty darn tricky if youve never taken fiddley things apart beware! the digitizer glass is glued on (around the edges) to the LCD, a sharp knife around the edge (the glass WILL crack) and a careful replacedment (i had to solder the ribbon cable on) should help there is a guide somewhere where someone has documented their attempt!
so can i be sure that my problem will be solved with new lcd screen?
please guys i need anwsers fast

Can you be certain this will fix it? No. It's about 99% likely, however. I don't know about you, but I pay alot more than $35/month just for my service. I haven't done the screen on my Kaiser, but I did on my Excalibur, which my son then inherited. To be honest, the Kaiser looks easier from what I've read.
it most probably isn't a software problem, so yes buy a new LCD+digitizer and replace both.
It all started when I wanted to repair the digitizer of an broken HD2. I purchased an new one from abroad and soldered it to the LCD.
I checked it with a multi-meter and it was connected in the same way as the original part.
After reassembly though the digitizer wasn't responsive at all.
Is there something I missed? I cleaned the digitizers inside before placing it on the lcd, could that have ruined it?
Appreciate advise on this.
Thanks
you are not suppose to touch the inside of the digitizer. that could be one reason

You should have just gotten an LCD/Digitizer combo...........or it could be a cheap ripoff digitizer.
Thread title says it all. The screen is perfect. No screen leak or dead pixel. But I have scratch on the digitizer. Can I replace it ? Without replacing the screen ? Thanks
Hello,
is it possible to replace the digitzer of the Xperia Z by myself?
My display is fully working just the digitizer cracked. And my phone isn't usable anymore.
I found the Digitizer front cover glass for 35€.
If so does anybody have a good tutoriol to do so?
I have nothing to loose, sony care take 200€ for the replacement, for this money i can buy a new Phone.
I found a lot of videos on youtube where they replace the digitzer inkl. LCD display. But not where they only replace the digitizer front panel.
I saw that the digitzer is glued to the LCD display.
Anybody replace the Digitizer by himself and could provide me with a few tipps?
I saw it's possible to detach the Digitizer with a heat gun.
I have a little practice by reparing the display of my old Iphone 4.
Which parts do i need?
Front Cover Adhesive
Back Cover Adhesive
and Front cover glass inkl digitizer?
Thx for your Help.
Sorry for my english.

You can broke your lcd too, while un-soldering digitizer from lcd.
Happend to me once.
I've replaced complete LCD+digitizer in once. Do not forget to order new adhesives. Back adhesive will get big damage on dissembling process. Back cover might not stick very well with old ones.
LCD panels might include front adhesives on it.
You can buy the digitizer here:

Tho I'm not 100% sure if they ship everywhere. It's pricey tho!
You can't unglue the digitizer from LCD without breaking them.
Try this

what do you guys think?
Hey guys, I Have a problem with my touch screen. It started out with one dead strip on the screen. After a few months it lead to another and now it has a third dead strip on my phone. The third one comes and goes though. This makes it so difficult for me to use the phone and I have decided to replace the touch screen. Now when I did my research there are two things. The digitizer itself and LCD screen with the digitizer. I do not know which one do I opt for and what will work for what. If you guys can tell me what I need to do that would be great. I am going to be fixing it myself as taking an out of warranty phone for servicing will cost too much.
Please guide me through a way that I can fix this as easily as I can.
Thank you very much.

Better to buy to whole assembly (LCD + Digitizer). Will be much easier to replace: You won't have to separate the broken digitzer from your LCD which is a hard to do without damaging anything and you will not have to glue your new digitizer to the LCD yourself which can also be hard to do perfectly. If not perfect, you'll see bubbles in your screen.

If I replace the screen. Will my touch work perfectly fine? with no dead zones? I wanna be 100% sure before I pull the trigger.
