What about Chrome Beta?

i imagine a browser that has a inverted mode so all backgrounds are black will use the least battery as amoled screens use less power with darker colours
anyone know of a browser that you can have inverted colours?

I read somewhere a while back that it utilises hardware rendering (thanks why ICS only?) - so that may require more juice - I think

ICS Browser +

If you're on ics and want a good browser, if you have the phone in tablet mode <220 dpi then the stock chrome browser is spectacular, very close to desktop performance.

[Q] Scroll Speed

I noticed that iPhone have a way better scroll on browser than most of andriod phones.. Than i google a little about it and found that the iPhone uses hardware aceleration (CPU) to do a better scrolling.
Now i wonder if our developers community could get some sort of code on the browser to use more hardware on it, especially to scrolling..
There is any way of that happen?
I have access to a iPhone (my friend's iphone) and i really think that scroll on it is way more comfortable to my eyes, don't know really why.
Sorry for bad english (again), and no notion on programing skills.
Edit: OMG!! sorry, i post it on the wrong session!! SO SORRY!
No flash,simple as...

I think it depends on hardware capability. Like a computer, the vga must have internal vsync feature to minimalise screen flickering and cpu do the frame tearing and method. If we do it just by software I don't think can 100% perfect.
Cmiiw.

Use SGS Touchscreen Booster. Worked for My P970 and Atrix. Not iPhone smooth but smooth enough.
Motorola Atrix 4G
I'm using it too, with super optimized preset. Helps a bit haha.

[Q] galaxy note - fast under ICS?

Hello,
after asking some info about the the battery on airplane mide, I ha now some question about ICS.
I have tested today the galaxy note, in a shop, running under android 2.1 or 2.3 ( I don' t remember...)
the device was so slow to use. it was really really slow. a lot of lags, the behavior was not good.
is the galaxy note faster with ICS?
thank you
olivier
There are varying opinions. Personally i found it smoother generally although was using launcher7 instead of touchwiz. The task management is fantastic. If youre looking at stock ics, samsung in their wisdom have skinned it exactly the same as gb which really annoyed me!
There are settings to select if you want hardware image decoding or software, i have a feeling its glitchy if using software.

Lag when zooming and scrolling web pages

Hey guys, so i have flashed a lightweight rom called icecream sunday final. Ever since then when i pinch to zoom on webpages it lags a lot, same thing for scrolling. Is there a way to get smoother scrolling and zooming? Are there any mods or scripts that could help? Is there a rom with smooth zooming and scrolling webpages?? Thanks

If ur rom has oc kernel, then overclock it to 720-730 Mhz. You should see some difference.

Try a newer barebones ROM, icecream sunday final is a bit old now
anyway, if you zoom and scroll while the page is still loading, it will lag. Try waiting for it to finish loading
also, try a different browser, like dolphin or opera mini
Do u know any other barebone roms out there????

Well, even if you get a bare bone rom, you wont get far.If you can't stand the lags at all, then getting a new phone is your only option

[Q] Airview Port?

Hi guys, was wondering if maybe airview could be ported to the Galaxy Note 1? Or maybe our hardware isn't powerful enough to support it?
Is this the feature on the note 2,where you can have multiple apps open alongside each other? If so, it's possible that it will be included in the official jb update. It's a Touchwizz dependant feature so well never get the sources for it and it's not just a case of copying an app, you need the whole Touchwiz framework.

Airview os hardware related so no it can't be used on the note
If it's air view as in apple, then no as above poster said, but there are plenty of streaming alternatives.

Airview is a feature where you can hover your spen above the screen and without touching the screen do specific tasks!

Yup, Whiskeyjack is right. The thing is, when I was on stock 4.0.4, there is a setting on your phone to allow a dot cursor whenever you use your pen. This feature is also avaliable for CM9,10. However with airview, its just basically placing your pen over with a hover, then the picture or the video will be shown in a small window. So the hover technology is already there but whether the the pop up overlay is possible on our notes or if it uses to much cpu power.
Im not a modder But I think its possible .. if you use (Boat Browser) try to move the s-pen over any link but dont touch the screen .. and see what happen
i know that... its the websites with the menus which when on pc hovering the mouse opens the menus right?. it works will with the android browser using the spen.. but there are more features in note too.. like the video timeline, and gallery preview using the spen hover feature which is not there in note 1

Its software related because i am able to use airview on google chrome browser of my galaxy note 1 n7000
Air view is still there on our note. But there is no implementation of it in ics. So we have to wait for the update, it will again be the part of touchwiz not a standalone app. I can use it on my routers setting page.

[Q] CM9 (Fat'n'Creamy) vs. CM10 (JCSullins)

Hi,
I just thought it would be useful to start a thread focused specifically and exclusively on the pluses and minuses of the two great choices we have for our Touchpads.
I suspect a lot of us are sitting with CM9 nightlies and wondering which way to leap...what do people think? What are the benefits and issues with each?
Thanks.

I'd say that is more of a "Pro" than a "Con", in my opinion.
Even without flash support we can still install it and run it with native browser or Firefox.

I was noticing graphics errors with flash on CM10, either low FPS or scrambled looking flash elements. I also got this in other UIs in CM10 randomly. I went back to CM9 since I don't really see the benefit of CM10 at the moment.
