This is really good news. I will try to get it into the ROM I am using currently. Hopefully, the module will be published in the next ROMs.

[Q] Ext3 partitions and LDX question

Hello, i have 2 questions:
If i create an ext3 partition on my sdcard, will the system recognize it properly so i can use it as if it were standard phone space?
2nd, i know that DX is not a fan of OC but i just love his work, and i'm running GDX v019 with LDX v004 kernel, and it works perfect, but is there some way to enable OC while using this kernel?

Hi! I want the same thing on my note but i can't find any kernel...none helps us! Anyway, did u manage to dualboot your rom official jb from Samsung with other rom?
Guys do nothing!! I would suggest you to use Hydracore Nirvana Kernel, it may have the support for Ram Expander!!!
How about using Custom Kernels? Like Hydracore or COH? It's a good kernel :good:
Hi guys,
Any news on this? I also have 4.1.2 and would like to use Ram Expander. Which Rom/Kernel works with it?
Thanks
Swap support requires tweaking in the kernel irrespective of what rom you are using..
COH kernel has swap support and i have personally used it along with ram expander.

Hi,
Thank you for your input.
1) Have you noticed any improvement by using ram expander on the note?
2) How can we be sure that ram expander really increases the ram by using the swap file? How do we test this?
3) Is it possible to install only your kernel with keeping my existing Rom? Just flashing that Kernel is possible?
Thanks for claryfing

#free in terminal emulator or open adb shell
this command will tell you if swap is active.. if the swap value is 0 then its not active.
Thank you for that.
What about Question 1 and 3 ?
3. It depends on the rom you are using. COH kernel is for touchwiz jb roms. If you are running same then you can change the kernel and try.
1. I have never felt the phone so slow to use ram expander. Although I hardly was on touchwiz.
