It's only a doubt..
The phones like Galaxy Nexus and Iphone when you press the unlock buton don't slow. Instead the galaxy plus (at least mine) takes half a second to turn the screen on.
There is any rom there to do it faster?
sorry for english..

My brother has an i9000 with cm9 installed and he has no lag at all when unlocking so they probably fixed the lag.

Well, it lags here and there on ours but on the i9000 it opens instantly all the time. That is why I said they might have fixed it.

It does not lag at all with CM7... so it is not a GB issue...

hi,
not that i usually like asking for release dates,
but when is Jelly Bean going to be available for my Kaiser?
even a nice ICS would be good...

Dude (or girl, whatever), this phone has a 400 MHz processor. It barely runs Gingerbread. Its just something not possible. If you really want, I can build Android 4.0 from cyanogen mod source (if we have a recent kernel which im not sure if we have) but there will be tons of problems...

well thanks for the offer but nah, it wasnt really a serious post.
i just look in here from time to time for a bit of nostalgia
i still smile when i see the "kaiser 3d drivers at last post"
i just reloaded Gingerbread and its running fine.
on the other hand, it does have a dedicated camera button, what about windows phone 7?

Winphone needs a capacitive touchscreen, at least a 1 GHz processor and more. So no...

ICS should be possible though. It ran on the blueangel, and the kaiser is slightly faster.
Then again, android runs like **** on kaiser. Probably not a good idea to try anything newer than gingerbread....

It differs on each device. Overclocking is a bit like baking a cake, both do it with the same recipe but the one's cake is delicious and the other is a total floor. Some Ace's can go up to 1GHz and some can't go above 800MHz.
I own 2 Ace's and my one goes to 1.2GHz the other only goes to 864MHz.
Really? Ace has only 800 MHz.

That would have taken extensive coding, reworking of the whole framework and the system as well as a hell of a lot of rearranging. Even then, essential features such as video recording, the microphone and the vibrator still don't work.
However, no reason why it should be a dead end. The devs on that project showed that a semi-functional SII ICS port was possible. Just that its incredibly hard to do.

I am sure as of now, over 70% of us have an unlocked bootloader. :highfive:
I am delighted that we have a CM10.1 available for our phone and couldn't express how delighted i am with it!
I would just like to suggest ideas on Kernels or would like to start a kernel thread with suggestions.
I have noticed that we have a small number of kernels and would like to know what one stands out from the crowd?
I've noticed with CM10.1 that my battery life is dreadful and the over heating happens too much. Any suggestions?

we have three kernels: stock 20x kernel which comes with 20x, CM kernel which comes with CM, and EPRJ kernel for CM/20x which is quite unstalble as it's in pre-alpha state. so my suggestion is, stick to either stock kernel or CM default kernel.

If I knew how to make a kernel I would. That's just the next thing on my list.
I also mentioned in another thread about controlling the CPU cores. Forcing them on and off when needed.
The P880 has the potential to be a complete beast, but somewhere down the line the Tegra 3 management let's it down.

yes there was an attempt to make an overclocking kernel
it was then dropped due to negative feedback from users
it is possible to overclock but not recommended

even more tempting to mini mod your every post
but instead i shall try a different approach
please try to use the search tool first next time before posting a question as you might find that some one has already asked the same question before on the topic of overclocking :good:
But this thread is newer so I wanted to find any updated information about overclocking
