Any software can reboot P925 to recovery mode?
Tried a few apps none of them can boot into recovery mode.
I am using CWM touch 5.8. Press Vol+3D+power is a little painful.

Have you tried rom manager. I don't know about touch but on my CWM only Rom Manager will boot into recovery.

Rom manager lets me boot into recover with Touch
ROM Manager also lets me boot into recovery with CWM Touch. You might want to try and reinstall CWM and ROM Manager to see if that helps. Are you using ROM Manager PRO or just the free version?
Free version works for me

Does not work for me even on regular CWM. Tried ROM Manager and Quick Boot, none of them working for me. Press Vol+3D+power is very hard, mostly time the phone does even not power on.

The phone is just stubborn. You have to hold the power button for a while. Quickboot doesn't work for me either.

I'm trying to root my friend's G1, I've downgraded to RC7 (Or the US RC29) but I can't access recovery mode. Every time i press & hold (home + power) it boots me into the boot loader.
I've tried flashing using a different memory card, no dice.
Anyone have any idea? & Is there anyway to flash RC8 (Or RC30) without using the recovery mode?
I've searched all over google & all over this forum, nothing would fix MY problem. Appreciate any help!
Catch me on Irc and I'll see what we can do.

root your phone via Superoneclick method and download CWM's rom manager. Open rom manager and click the "Reboot into recovery option" and see if that works.
If it doesnt, try flashing CWM's newest recovery or alternet recovery from the rom manager, in this case, RA's v1.7.0 and see if that works

Appreciate your reply.
I would use superoneclick or androot, but I'm on RC7(RC29) OS 1.0 & the apps just force close.
I've also tried a ton load of Amon's recoverys & Clockworks, but they don't seem to work.
I can't even access the stock recovery when I press home & power buttons, it just boots up the boot loader with a "seria0" in the middle of a white stripe.

I have cm7 and I install the new update every night, and it works fine. I then installed a new kernel 2.6.35.11 AP #2 and every thing continued to work fine. I then went to install RC 4 and when my phone reboots to go into recovery it just doesnt go into recovery it just stays at HTC white screen. This happens Evan if I try to boot up and hold home no matter what I do I cannot get into recovery. So I cannot restore a back up or put the old kernal back on or update my rom. Any ideas would be helpfull.

Ya
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
That works but what's the sugestion? When I get there I tried to go to recovery from there and the same white screen hangs up
The phone works fine but I cannot get into recovery to do anything.

if your phone works, try flashing another recovery with rom manager .
How am I saposed toflash a new rom if every time it trys to go into recvovery it stays at the white screen?
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
Evan if I press install new rom in rom manager it has to boot into recovery to install new rom? It just hangs up right at the white screen before it goes into rom recovery

Re-Flash the same recovery you were using.
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA Premium App
Or you could RUU and start from scratch. As long as you reinstall the same recovery, you can nand restore.
What is ruu? I can't flash anything if it doesn't go into recovery???

F it how do I start from new if my phone hangs up going into recovery???? I'll just do that.

That's what RUU does. Go to the HTC site and download the stock Sprint software update, or get it from here.
were talking about flashing a new recovery via rom manager, not a rom. Either reflash cw via rom manager or alternate like ra from bottom of screen on rom manager. It flashes right inside rom manager, doesnt take you to recovery. If that doesnt work do the ruu.
I found out how to do this connect your charger than turn your phone on and then pull battery out. Then hold volume down and home and then press home again to go to recovery and install zip files again and it will work. I did this and it worked.
Thank you so much that worked perfectly, the last post that is.

Nope, not a brick. You probably have a working button combination, but the recovery simply isn't there. You need to boot into download mode and flash a kernel.

thanks that fixed it. my phone is now awesome.
I installed a rom called Eaglesblood from ROM Manager.
When it was all installed, the phone just loops and won't start. The only thing that is showing is the Eaglesblood logo. I tried to boot ROM Manager, but it wont start since the LG logo is not showing.
Is there anything I can do?
One more thing, I tried to connect it to the computer and it is charing, but it does not show as any device on the computer though.
You must wipe your phone before installing a new rom, otherwise you can get bootloops, try it good luck

search around, there's a few very good guides on this and other forums.
You must reboot in cwm and there you can wipe the phone... in option advanced are mire wipe option, best way to install a custom rom is making a fullwipe.. whatch in xda there are many guides for this.

I tried to access the CWM by holding the Power and -Vol on the phone. The phone just boot up and doesn't even go into the cwm. The Eaglesblood logo just repeats all over.
I can take pictures if you like, if it is easier to understand.
Is there anyway to access the phone by USB? I can't even find it on the PC when I plug it in, it just charges itself

If you are unable to recover your phone you can always use NVflash. It will flash one of the first Froyo versions on your phone. Then you can root it, install ClockworkMod and install any ROM you like.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007825
It's low level flashing so use it only when there is no other option.

Thanks! But I still have an error trying to connect my phone to the computer. The USB is charing the phone, but the computer won't recognize the device. It doesn't even popup anything.
I have windows 8 on my desktop, and I tried to plug it in the laptop aswell, but it doesn't do anything. And yes, I have the LG drivers installed already.
If you remove battery and you push vol down key and power button and you connect to usb then you get into recovery mode?

No, it doesn't. The LG logo is just flashing then it turns black and repeats itself like that.
However, i tried only to hold down the vol-down button and plugged the USB in and then it starts something saying:
"S/W Upgrade please wait while upgrading..." but it does not show up on the PC as if it was connected.
Yes, so try to reflash cwm.. look at the guids in the section android development..

I'm very thankful for linking me this, but the problem still exist that I can't find my device on Windows. If i remember correctly, the USB connection to the phone stoped to work when I fixed root access to the phone and the CWM.

Hello,
Yesterday i rooted and installed recovery on stock .423 Sony rom. After installing NanDroid and taking a backup i suddently couldnt get in to recovery. When i boot my phone, and press "volume up" nothing happens, the phone just boots as normal. I have also notized that it also just flashes the green LED- light and not the purple.
So this have happened to me before on my device, that the recovery just dissepears. I also installed Nandroid manager and selected reboot into recovery but only made the phone reboot normally.
So is there anyone who knows what this might be?
Thank you ,
This phone has a very sensitive recovery,in other word Fu*****g recovery.

Well so i re-installed CMW and now it works ! I finally got to install cm10. Is there any explanation why this happens?
You press and hold vol up or down once u see the green light. You should also flash recovery zip after instaling any rom or u might loose recovery.
