I am currently on CM9 on my Bionic. I am using safestrap and have rooted .902 on my unsafe system. Can you please explain the best and easiest way to update to .905 on my unsafe system then switch back to my custom ROM?

My friend has a bionic that he flashed the leak where he didn't have to be rooted is there a way he can go back to stock latest gingerbread firmware and wait til it its officially released? He's having to much problems with it.

FXZ to .902 using RSDLite, then take OTA to get back to .905.
What problems?
I haven't heard anything negative at all about the leaks before this.
Also needing to FXZ back to stock from ICS leak 2233
I also flashed to ICS from. 905. I love ICS and have had absolutely zero problems with the leak version but I need to go back to 905 via 902 to get ready for the OTA update. I have rsdlite but need a "working" link to the FXZ file for 902. I was observing a thread in the development section but that link went to fileserve with a message that it was pulled because of copyright violation. Hopefully I can find the right file and avoid bricking during my jump back to Ginger.

Hello everyone,
I have a question maybe someone can help me out or provide resources with, currently I am running Eclipse 3.0 and .905 firmware with clockworkmod recovery 5.0.2.5. Is their any ROM's that support the .905 firmware? I do not want to flash back to .905(using the fxz method), and install the OTA Leak just to install any of the ICS ROMS because I have done this several times and due to developers not providing correct requirements, as well as a method other than flashing using safestrap. Thanks again!!!
I have a droid bionic that i rooted and installed CWM via bootstrap. We were on 905 and i tried to flash different ICS roms and now i just get the motorola logo and it doesnt do anything. I cant get back into CWM, what do i need to do?
You are going to need to fxz .905 from a computer using rsd lite. There are links for the files somewhere in these threads. If I can find them I will post links for you. To use the ics leak roms you will need to install a leak first. Recommend .232 or lower so you can still go back to .905 if something goes wrong

Hi All
I need some help getting back to a state where i can just OTA Jellybean just like a normal bionic, I dont care about root or anything like that.
This is my current situation
I installed safestrap 3.11, I accidentally wiped my stock rom and attempted to install AOSP onto stock rom, obviously it did not work, so my stock rom is now dead. I did however install AOSP into rom slot 1, and its working fine. I would like to completely ditch safestrap and get my bionic to a factory stock state with factory ICS installed so i can just OTA update it to Jellybean, is this possible in my current situation? and if so, how do I do it.
I tried using a method that was advertised on droid forums, someguy saved his ICS stock rom as a restore in safestrap, I tried putting the files into the TWRP folder but when i went to restore in safestrap, it did not list any packages I could use to restore. Any help would be appreciated.
If you had stock ICS before you broke it, find obsidian's post about all things bionic and follow the link to the instructions on how to flash a stock fxz with rsdlite.
Don't try to flash ICS fxz if you had stock jb, or you will brick your phone.

While running the RSD lite process it stops at 6/22 does anyone know why this would happen?
you are trying to go back to .905...from what?
If you're on ICS or jb you can't go back to 905. If you're on ICS, flash the ICS fxz. If you want jb, flash the jb fxz. Rooting jb is more involved if you're not into Linux, but if you had updated to jb you can't go back to ICS.

This is really a thread? I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but this isn't exactly a secret that you can't do it. You may want to read through the other posts before trying to do anything else.

There's no point in OTA updating when the FXZ files for ICS and JB are out, and you already have RSDLite. Also root methods are available for all OTA's. Just FXZ yourself to the place you need to be.
