I have been having a problem with the touch screen on my HTC Vivid. The video shows my problem. Basically, when I have more than one finger on the screen, then I let go of just one, it acts like I let go on all of them.

It won't let me post links because I'm new here, so the above is a goo.gl shortened link to the video.
I was wondering if anyone could help find out why it keeps doing this and what I need to do to get it to stop.

Hi all,
I've been playing around and setup a Mortplayer link as one of the HTC Home applications to launch.
However after doing that, I now cannot get to it, as everytime I press the launcher tab my device reboots.
Anyone know where/how I can remove this faulty icon/program link so can recover it? I'm guessing its either a shortcut or a registry, but if somebody has the knowledge would be handy
Cheers
For the sake of completeness in the forums, I did find a way of sorting this out.
I grabbed a copy of 'Home Configurator' and that let me change the rogue element and sorted the problem.
For anyone elses information, don't put a Mortplayer script into your launch buttons!!
Hi Everyone! Out of everything I have learned here I have not learned how to open up my Wizard and check my LCD. I believe it is going out (white screen with dancing colors) I can hear all the notifications and I can tell it is moving from screen to screen when I press the buttons, I just want to make sure it isn't a loose connection before I order a new LCD. Can someone tell me where I should start or is there a video on this out there somewhere (maybe utube)? Please let me know.
Thank you
Just do a search on "wizard service manual"
and you will find links to take it apart.
Hers a link.

Great! Thanks. That is what I needed.
Ok...too complex for me to do, I guess I will order screen and have someone else replace it for me. Thanks for the links and service manual locations.

Hi, can anyone help me with my final sticking point before possibly upgrading to the HTC One?
I have an HTC Desire Z and one facility that I use on almost a daily basis at work is in the onboard Calculator which allows me to simply scroll up (using it’s mini trackpad) to previous calculations then change individual figures and recalculate them.
The One I’ve seen demonstrated instore doesn’t appear to have a way to do this (I tried swiping up, and also holding my finger on the result area of the screen), and the assistant didn’t know if it was possible either. However, holding the “Clear” button for a couple of seconds brings up a message along the lines of the calculations history being cleared from the memory, suggesting that it must have this information stored.
Can anyone who perhaps owns a One let me know if there’s a way to access previous calculations in this way please.
Many thanks
Download holocalc, you can view history easily and it looks way cleaner.
Thanks for your suggestion. I settled with MobiCalc in the end as it has a really simple History button. Cheers :good:
