[Q] Can't send SMS / Text Message

Hi all,
Just got my new SGS...
One small problem: can't send sms messages. Did correct the SMSC number in Messaging application (+27829129).
But, when I use "*#*#4636#*#*" to check the SMSC, I get a completely wrong number.
The same sim card work fine on previous HTC Touch pro.....
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

did this happen after you updated your phone?
i had the same prob, i had to wipe the phone to get it to work again.

Can you receive text?
Talk to your wireless service provider before you jump the gun and wipe everything.
When I had an issue with sending text (not receiving), my provider sent me a special text (with some settings). It fixed my sending issue.

Did a factory reset and everything worked.
THEN, used SMS Backup and restore to restore all my old SMSes - and it stopped working again.
Seems as if there is a bad "SMS" somewhere in the sms store....
Deleted all messages and everything is working 100%.

i only on rogers with the i9000m
i sent a text this morning....but now that everytime i try to send something it said failed....
so i have to do a factory reset?

Guys I have an issue too, I still can't send any messages, I am on 4.1.2 REMICS, I even flashed old 2.3.6 JVU and it didn't work on it too. Do I have to call my provider and ask him for the instructions?

i was tired to wait for the ota or the kies update for my branded galaxy note (tim italia)
so i wiped and flashed ics official rom that i found on this forum and i have now installed:

i tried to wipe and factory reset through stock recovery but still people can not read me when i talk to them via phone....

yes i did
i even reflashed a stock gb and wiped
then reflashed ics and found same trouble
then i wied on ics /factory rset from recovery and still same trouble
maybe i should flash a different radio?

I faced this problem... When i call someone to talk, s/he says that my voice is not understable like broken radio. Anyway i try built-in recording apps to check the microphone. I was shocked my voice had been recorded terrible!!! then i tried to clen the microphone area which is under the phone now the problem is solved...

[Q] Please HELP unable to make calls- No sound in-out after upgrading to JB LT4

Hi all,
Last week I upgraded my Note to new LT4 rom.(s). Couple of days later, my Note was unable to make calls. When I try to make call or receive a call, there is no sound neither from earpiece nor from the speaker. If I reboot the phone I sometimes be able to make some calls with a great noise on the background then it stops.
I re-flashed the rom and flashed other roms even re-flashed LZS roms with all clean install even finally formatted the internal sd card . No change.
Since I can make one-two calls after each reboot I still think it may be a software issue rather than hardware.
All other functions including cell reception, 3G, internet, wireless all working very well but cannot use it to make phone calls.
If you have any suggestions I appriciate.

Update - I installed the stocked LZS Rom but the problem still continues.

have you checked that your IMEI is the correct one? maybe it got corrupted...If that is the issue, should be solved by restoring your EFS backup .

No, I haven't checked. But I don't know my previous IMEI . How am I supposed to know if changed or not? I haven't backed it up. How to restore to original status?

Below the battery you have the original IMEI number...if it is changed, then that is the issue. If you don't have a backup of your EFS, I am not sure but you can try to flash the stock rom by selecting EFS in ODIN PC. That is stuff is quite delicate, so I would recommend you to ask Dr. Ketan that he is more familiar with it.
But again, make sure that your imei is fine first. If that is not, then might be a hardware issue..

Thank you for your kind suggestions. I checked and it looks O.K. there is no change on IMEI. Actually I can receive SMS and 3G is working very well, my phone rings if someone calls but cannot talk.

The problem still hasn't been solved. Somehow all is going fine and suddenly re-occures. Has anybody come up with same problem and found a solution? Please share.

Sound issue after flashing CN 2.30 Rom

After several attempt was successful in flashing CN 2.30
But now there seems to be no sound and the phone app freezes during making a call neither I am able to receive call as during dialing from other handset the call end.
Any solution for both the issue, As network is too slow where I reside and not possible to download Global or any other ROM

You should go into recovery and wipe user data and cache if you have not done that.

Backing Up My Note 9

I have GBWhatsApp Installed on My Stock ROM (didn't do anything yet xD)
I am facing a screen issue on my phone after the update in 2020. I tried searching everything on web but could not find anything to solve it. I was thinking to flash the Stock Firmware again but I have some issues.
I have my WhatsApp number which was closed in 2020, but my WhatsApp is still working well on that number due to which I never tried to update the OS. I have lot of imp chats & all my work is still going on that number via WhatsApp (GbwhatsApp)
Now I am like fed-up of this issue and was thinking to flash a new custom ROM. But the issue comes with the WhatsApp thing.
Is is possible to backup the whole app with its data? As its almost 60gb of data which I cannot delete plus cannot lose that number too.
I am back on XDA after almost 5yrs, earlier there used to be a APP called Titanium Backup. But i don't know how can I do it in my current state.
Can someone please help me on the same.

I don't have access to that number its closed in 2020. But whatsapp is still working. Cannot get OTP for same. Plus I cannot change that number because of my business ☹

You can't just do one thing:
transfer the data to another phone so it's still available.
The rest you can if you want.

But how can I transfer the chats. Plus I need to use that same number on whatsapp. I won't be able to get the otp now ☹
