What exactly happened when you tried to install it? Make sure you have usb debugging enabled and turn off fastboot. Why do you need blackrose?
Sent from my A510 using XDA Premium HD app

Quoted from Nik "Just run the install.bat file .. Make sure your phone is on and usb debugging is enabled . "
Tried and it works! Now on blackrose and running we want ics by Nik...
you need to install the htc sync driver correctly.
it means that ,after the htc driver has been installed, your pc should verify your phone as android device.
I think this is your problem.because this happened to my phone.
thankxx. .

i have the same problem i guess, i cant install BlackRose_IS_120602_5... i dont know why, i have tried whith BlackRose_beta_120222 and nothing...

Your phone must be S-OFF with Revolutionary HBOOT 6.13.1000 and the ROM must be rooted.
It is apparent from all of the Access denied errors in the script that your are not rooted.
as i said before...
im using win7-x64... does it matter??

OK, so you have Revolutionary S-OFF, but you didn't see that last part of the post. You also need to have a fully rooted ROM.
Then screen shots you posted showing the BlackRose installation errors is full of Access Denied errors which indicates that you do not have a rooted ROM.
It has nothing to do with the fact that you are running Windows 7 X64.

You would download the custom ROM and put it on your SD card. Then you boot your phone into Recovery and use the recovery selection "Install a zip file from sd card". It will ask you to pick the zip file and then it should install.
Please be sure to read the opening post of any custom ROM for any additional instructions or recovery commands you should run for the installation process.
Done
thanks guys, specially tpbklake....

try the restore to stock for canadian users in my signature. Post back if any issues. Are you planning to return for warranty or just to get signal
Things dont happen on their own. So either you did something or the phone is toast.

Well yeah just to get signal back. After I installed viper rom is when i started to get this probelm. Ive had the viper rom for awhile and if my phone died or i had to restart it would loose signal so basically i would have to restart the phone again to get it back but now for like the past 5 days it seems to have lost it for good

lol well a little to late now i didecided to go back to stock and i was following this one video on youtube how to do it so the phone says it is relocked now but when i went to flash the ruu it kept on saying signature fail. and all i can do now is boot the phone into the bootloader. Any suggestions in how i could fix this??
You dug a deeper hole for yourself. Nice.
Well now you need to unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery, and adb push or adb sideload a rom to get booting.
YouTube is good for videos only.

at OP, please disregard 99MB """RUU"""" (not sure how many quotes i can put)
go with @SaHiLzZ
What are you talking about? The first post ask for an RUU. If it's not what's wanted then so be it. But when did compiling a kernel ever occur in this equation? Do you know how to use HTC dev to find ruu's? It's all in the same spot. Been that way since the website opened. If an ruu exist it will appear in all after search is done.
If a full one isn't there then it isn't there. But it's a good spot to look.
Sent from my unknown using Tapatalk
No its NOT a good place to find RUUs, and should not be the first place to look.
OP, best to look at WRITTEN guides (couple linked in my Sig) to get your phone booting.

So my situation is that I have previously bricked my phone, sent it to HTC for flashing and now after that, I am unable to install the OTA update for Sense 6. The download is fine, verification is fine, only at the installation part where the blue bar will go up to about 30+% then it will give me a red exclaimation mark error where it will then restart and the version will be as of before.
Things I've tried: clearing Updater cache and resetting phone both didn't work. I saw something about resetting the cache in the recovery or something but I realised that I have no recovery in my bootloader. Is that normal or is that something HTC forgot to add in after they reflash the rom for me?
Thanks for any help given.

Do you have access to someone elses device, the calc and flashlght were initially in the data partition, so you can copy from them. There are blown away when you unlock the boot loader.

Hello all, looking for a little guidance.
My symptoms: My phone (non hk, m8) boots and then reboots after about 3-4 seconds. I can't get through the initial set up at all.
I unlocked using the htc dev option, I don't have s-off, I flashed twrp 2.7.1.0,
I flashed the GPE 4.4.4 from within twrp and as per the instructions, followed that up by flashing the boot.img using fastboot. EDIT*** I also wiped cache, dalvik, and data prior to initial boot.
Everything went smoothly and I started the initial boot, it gets past google logo and the boot animation and it even starts the initial set up, after about 3 seconds it reboots.
I came from latest everything totally stock. (the .10 radio, and 4.4.3 stock rom) I accepted all the OTAs on stock then started the switch to GPE.
Anyone else experience this or know what I should look into to resolve this?
- Thanks in advance.
Update: I am fairly certain this has to do with SuperSU - I will attempt re-installing and ensuring SuperSu is flashed and ready to go before booting.
Update: Final edit - RESOLVED
For anyone else dealing with this, it is a matter of ensuring that SuperSu is flashed prior to booting. Once you've installed the rom, flash latest supersu and then boot as normal.
Same Problem
It'sbeen awhile since I've rooted. I am however having this same issue. How do I go about getting only a flashable SuperSU file? I looked it up and the only thing im getting is a flashable recovery. Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing how my phone is useless atm. Thanks

You're not doing anything wrong... Firewater only works on some M8s. You should definitely not be trying it in the GPE rom. Stock is what you want.
If you continue to get that message on a stock ROM you'll need to use SunShine S-off instead (I have a feeling that going back stock won't help the issue but it's recommended to be as close to stock as possible).

Thanks, recovery works fine on D410H.
You need to add on the title of this thread that this WILL NOT work on the D415. If you flash that aboot on the D415, it will permanently kill the phone.
Cool interface...

Yes, I tried it and if not for my warranty, I'd be using a Nokia Lumia 521 right now....ewww. [emoji37]
To explain, what I did was follow the instructions and flashed the aboot from that site. Even @evoname warns that it doesn't work on the D415.
@Lady
so a wrong aboot bricks your Phone, Not my recovery right? for me i tryed different l90 kernels for recovery compiling and every Works. i think there must be an kdz for your D415 right? i had an brick to and could only unbrick with kdz File an and an Flash Tool thats made for G2 .named flashtool 2014 or something Else.
edit:
checked sources again , and this TWRP must work on D415, because other users confirmed that my Philz touch works on D415 and its uses the same kernel like this twrp, so if someone is smart enough please test this twrp recovery on an ROOTED D415 WITH UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER, it must work...
Thx
Regards
I can confirm that this recovery does work on T-Mobile D415 just fine.
I extracted the zip and used ROM installer to flash recovery.

Not to go off top but is your XDA name any reference to the awesome S. Korean Movie Lady Vengeance? Great movie, that and Old Boy, and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance....

The recovery works because it's a 2nd init recovery. That kind of recovery works on phones with locked bootloaders just fine. If I didn't mention it before, the OP states that you need an unlocked bootloader. To do that, the aboot needs to be flashed (which I did and I bricked...LOL.) The aboot flash located in that cyanogenmod link is what you need to avoid. If you use a D415, sorry to give you the bad news, but the bootloader is locked. Maybe the OP can remove the requirement of needing an unlocked bootloader because it does work as 2nd init.

Okay so been some time since I've been on here and since I have got a oneplus one and I am selling my M7.
I was rooted and running tickdroid 8.0 I think it was, 4.2.2 as I didn't feel the hassle to update it etc.
Now I managed to get back to stock by flashing the stock RUU and my software currently stands at 4.1.2
I searched for an update but it says it's up to date? The phone has stock recovery etc I just want to update it to the latest firmware before I sell it. So any help to get it up to kitkat would be appreciated
Bootloader is relocked
Software 4.1.2
S-Off

No unfortunately not. Setting 100% Stock is not so simple. The firmware to match the rom is on hboot 1.57. You need to lock the bootloader on hboot 1.44 and go back to s-on before you update to hboot 1.55, after you lock the bootloader you'll have no way to install the Rom.
You can use my reset zip method though. I don't have the time to knock up a guide for you right now because I'm in work. If you can wait I can get it up for you later on this evening. Or just go and read the nkk71 nandroid guide. It's a liitle more involved than the reset zip method but does the same job :good:

you might want to check the MD5 value of your nanadroid backup zip file. Use WinMD5 program (google it)
The MD5 should be ea7969028463b7c14317cc6ea312e76e, if not then its a bad download.

Hey @alray, Tonight I was gonna farm the OTA for the firmware you need in the other thread. I was planning a full wipe for ARHD 84 anyway. But I see @nkk71 is already sorting it. I did find a link for the .9 but it was dead
I don't know if it makes any difference but I did learn that the .8 is for Unbranded Vodaphone and the .9 is for Branded Vodaphone.
