Basically yes. You must unlock your bootloader and flash custom kernel like LinuxDX or FXP. Then use market apps like swapper or swapper 2. And there was a bunch of posts about swap. Use the search function, it won't bite

So whose kernel is the best?

All kernels have their advantages and disadvantages. If you're using GingerDX and don't want to overclock your phone use LinuxDX. If you care about OC use FXP.

Whaaaa? Ur one of those who cant open bootloader? No there is no hitfix for that.

And Dx said that they will port IScreamDX to stock kernel but this will take time, just wait.

We have one ICS rom for stock kernel but i don't recommend to use it now because it is buggy.

As u know that in the previous time the bootloader of 11w29 can only be unlocked but now there is a way to unlock 11w29+

there is a brick risk tho, not everyone is successful, stick to roms like gingerfast or take the risk but thats up to you, maybe in a bit more time the odds will increase

Seems like more members can't boot this rom,maybe there is some problem with the rom...you better keep tracking the rom thread and wait for an update...

So it was a flaw in the ROM but I fixed it.
The new version (revised), you can now go ahead and download.

So this can be flashed with the recovery and then you have the stock kernel? At least a way to flash the stock kernel without Odin ^^

Well I've never tried it but if you got the zip file of the Rafael kernel (the boot.img one obviously) and replaced the boot.img inside it with the one I posted then I can see no reason why it wouldn't work.
However, this is partly why I have recently asked the question is it possible to boot into download mode without a working boot.img? My inclination is 'yes, it runs off the bootloader' but nobody seems to know the answer. So until I find out I'm hesitant to try it without being certain just in case something goes wrong.

thanks mate......so now we have someone working on kernel for cm7 and now we just need someone to port cm7 and add this kernel to it.......thats a good news......
