Need help with some terms..

hi..
i just got my wing yesterday and i want to flash a new rom on it.
i was trying to learn as much as possible before my phone got here, but i still dont know too much
ok, so what is a SPL?? i saw one rom that said if you dont have an SPL of 4.0 or something like that dont use it.. i have a clue as to what that is or what mine is
what is overclocking?? do I NEED to do it??
what is the easiest (or has the easiest UI) reg editor??
are their any extra programs i might need to flash a rom on my phone??

similar rom Onyx Ultimate for Jade?

Sorry to open a new thread but the other one was closed..
Is there a way to port onyx ultimate rom for Jade? or.. Do you know about a similar rom? The ones I tried so far are not as good as that one..

As I said before. The Onyx ROM is a Elf ROM, the Jade is a new device and some new chefs are just starting cooking for it. Have a look at the ROM's people are cooking here, this is the best you are gonna get.
This is a development forum, not a "make my device neat and kewl". If you want a ROM as good as that either ask the Chef to help out or start cooking your own.

Seems you've been around a little while now, as always try the search function before posting.
And there are quite a few stickies in the Xperia ROM subforum with tutorials on how to hardSPL and flash a ROM.

Concur with Lokatho: Check stickies in rom dev and post in one of the existing threads if further (specific) problems arise.
