Only the ROM's RIL is 622.
Flashing a ROM including this one will NOT change your current baseband. AFAIK 622 baseband standalone fls is not available yet, only its RIL which was extracted by Hell_97 from v10c.

OK, so no reason to upgrade.... is it really the same as 0606 except for the baseband?

If you have your filesystem in Ext 4 convert it in EXT3, than flash the rom as the same

How come just 3 mb? Previous I installed was much bigger file about 8 or even more
Hey,
right now my phone is on CM7, but much progress has been made with CM9 or ICS.
My question is wheater is should flash this version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1517301
or this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508492
what are the differences between this 2 version? which one is more stable? which one is faster?
thanks in advance! cheers
Supernova is the kernel that comes with novahd.
And the difference between owains and novahd is that novahd is more customizable. During the installation you can choose exactly how you want it. From text fonts to what apps you want to install. But both Roms is based on owains, so there is not a big difference.
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
Nova has also a tweaked kernel Supernova
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA
you think that the nova hd is based on owains build, be yourself are both fine, but I would put that of owains
Nova is very good in speed, smoothness and still very stable.
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA
I personally use Owains because I tried NovaHD and directly saw that it didn´t like me, everything was forced closed and not much was working, but however, I did like the customised stock-apps in /system/app/ and I still use a few of them. I´m currently running on Owains RC0-37 and I think that it all flows on very good!
I would choose Owain because I like to have bleeding edge features (It updates often) but I think that NovaHD would be a great choise to! So, my suggestion: try them both for a couple of days!
(Sorry for bad english)

If you install with fullwipe, try nonwipe, or wipe in CWM and install with nonewipe.
I`ve also read someone have to install with wipe, and reinstall with nonewipe.
Nova is just a better polished version of owain rom, I used Nova before, but now reloadedICS does not work on the latest version, that's bad
I think it's personal choice. For a All-in-One Package I would prefer Nova HD.
But again, again there isn't too much difference.
Hi,
I have just bought a 2nd hand Optimus 2x. It came with Android 2.2.2 installed so I ran the mobile support tool to upgrade to Gingerbread to at least try the stock rom before trying anything else.
It said there was an update available but after checking the phone said i have the latest version installed (v20l).
When i checked i have the 725 baseband but the v10b rom.
Does that mean that someone has had a custom rom on it before and loaded the Froyo rom bck on it?
Whats my best option? Go back to older baseband and let phone auto detect and install latest, just flash v20l rom or go to a custom rom i.e. Cyanogen?
Graeme
It seems that the base band has been changed.. its not a problem imo, u can update the fone through the lg update tool on a computer or just do the ota update.. the letters at the end (v20b) is representative of the country but should not affect u.. once u have updated u can root and the down load the get ril app and check if the base band and ril match (if not that app will help u fix it) .. all In all shouldn't be any problems updating

Hi, i really confused about flashing kernel to OB v20b.....
Can i flash kernel from the othee version from v20s or 20o...
I want to use diana kernel or marvel kernel but it based on gb 234 v20o
Is it possible to flash these kernel.?
Please help, maybe someone can explain to me and i really appreciate it..::
I am just want to help my friend build his OB
Sent from my xperia ray 4.0.4
This is exactly what I want to do. I mean flashing Diana kernel to V20b middle east stock rom. Of course we should somehow bring Zeus tweaks settings menu to this mixture
Come on Huexxx !
Why dont you just:
1. Backup your current ROM via recovery
2. Flash Diana kernel
3. push Zeus app on the phone, or install Zeus ROM, back it up with Titanium Backup, restore your backup, flash Diana Kernel, restore Zeus app and maybe you also will need some additional files from: /system/Zeus
If it works, cool, if not, unbrick it with smartflash tool and restore your backup and your back to normal within 10 minutes.

Even latest releases and corresponding middle eastern patch could not match great customization that LG have done to stock rom for this region.
I mean proper right to left menus, keyboard, dictionary, calendar & more. So if I somehow want to benefit from excellent custom rom like Zues, I have to use stock rom that comes with all that localizations and a custom Kernel like Diana.
Thanks

In nova kernel v11c my phone is getting dead for a sometime, I can't unlock the screen and even if someone calls me I'm unable to know about it but for the caller it'll be ringing. I need to remove the battery and switch mobile on... This repeates 2 to 3 times a day.

I'm pretty curious about how many people decide use each ROM, in my case, im using ICS Korean Version but if I see more usable CM10, I will install it. Shall I change to CM10?
So guys, what are your thoughts?
For which ROM have you decided?
I think at this time that Korea is more stable.I highly recommend you.
I tried CM10 today, but still has too many bugs, I suggest you wait for the next nightly
Yea i prefer korean ics
Edit:CM10 nightly is too buggy so i prefer Korean ICS as it is faster(to an extent)and less buggy. For ultimate performance, download tantrums version

I am unable to understand SD fix
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda premium
I tested both ROMs and preferred to stay with the Korean version
because it is much more stable and bugs will disrupt much less on a daily!
In fact, the only error that bothers me is that after activating the USB connection,
I must restart the phone to mount the sd card. That is, the fix that was suggested by staff works only in parts...
But we are on track and Korean ROM promises!
Sorry for my bad English!
