Okay, installed a 32gb Lexar sd card, formatted to 16gb ext3, the remaining as fat32.
Downloaded webtopsd apk and placed that on the sd card, but I only see one partition, not two. When I click to install the apk, it just fc's on me.
There is no clear install guide. Most everything relates to after you install, not the actual install itself
I have bookmarked pages of google searches on how to do this, to no avail, and I am losing patience!
Ideas?
Finally answered my own post. Must be on STOCK .902. Root is fine. I fxz'd back to stock, placed the .apk on the internal storage and let her rip. Formatted and installed like it should, then I adb shell'd, installed the mbm.tar and now it is installing GDE and some other variables.

I'm using an 8GB microSD FAT32 card in my G1 with JF 1.4.3 build, and I can't seem to move any caches to the SD card because I consistently get that error. This happens when I go to create the systematic link with "ln -s" code. Everything else works great, and this seems to happen only when I move my Browser cache.
Now, someone told me that this means the link has already been made and nothing needs to be done, however when I navigate to the cache folder on the SD card no files are present and everything is still being saved to the phone.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Bump. Anyone?
I get this issue, too, when trying to link a file from an external ext4 SD card to an internal vfat volume.
This is the situation:
I had a message on my phone (G1) stating the SD Card was damaged and I may need to format. Long story short, I formatted the card. Before formatting I moved everything from my card to my desktop.
After formatting, I moved everything back to my card. I then partitioned my card. I tried to partition first but got fed up when I ran into problems attempting to do so. Now after rebooting I was able to see about 1/3 of the apps I downloaded (I had almost a hundred and change- 16g card).
So, the question is: Do I have to reformat the card, partition, then put the files back on the card? Basically do everything all over again. Or is there a way to "restore" all my apps somehow?
Thanks in advance.

Did you transfer you ext partition? If not then you are going to have to redownload and install everything cause you wiped your entire card losing your apps2sd links.

What exactly do you mean "transfer you ext partition"?
After messing around some more.......
I connected the usb to my computer, copied the "whole sd card" to my desktop, transferred everything back to my card after after wipe, format and everything.
Now when I go into a file manager, which I had to download again, I can see all the apps are on my card.
How do I get them in the "app tray or app launcher", I think it's called.
And when I go to settings, application whatchamacallit, I see my card is partitioned. I use Amon-Ra partitioning thing.
I have a G1 with 8gb class 6 sd card. Had 128mb swap, 256mb ext4, remaining fat32 partitions. Have never had an issue with that setup since I got the card like 6 months ago. I've also had just about every rom on the phone at some point or another. Today I decided to switch from zx hero 1.4.4 to cm5.0.8 stable. Did the usual wipe all 5 etc.. Got into setting up the rom and as soon as I logged into my google account I got the "sd card damaged" warning in the notification bar. I figured no big deal, I'll just reformat the sdcard and all will be good. Reboot the phone, (amon ra recovery 1.5.2) and go to partition sd card. Run through everything, keeping the same setup I had. I prepared myself to restore my sdcard backup, but to my surprise all my files were still there. Tried to partition again, then rebooted to recovery. Check to see if my .zip files were there and they still were. THough this was odd, since every other time I've reformated I had to reload all my files. Wiped and flashed super d 1.9.3. Booted up, got the damaged sdcard error again.
Now i was getting concerned. Went into terminal and checked my swap partition. Still working fine. Checked my gallery, said no files. Opened the camera, said I needed an sd card to take pictures. I decided to mount the phone to my pc, and all of my files are there and work.
I also tried to repartition just now with paragon on the pc, with no luck. The computer sees the sd card, says its not formatted, but wont let me do anything.
Any input? I know this is a long post, but I'm just trying to figure out whats going on.
I apologize if this has been thoroughly discussed here, but I can't seem to find much in my own searches.
I don't know what happened but yesterday after i restarted my N1, most of my apps on SD Card couldn't seemed anymore! Apps are on the list, on the desktop and on the apps settings (without original icon). But my system doesn't connect apps on my sd card.
My sd card is working correctly, no problem is there. System is seeing sd card, can be mounted/unmounted.
I've tried to restart (ofcourse),
I've tried to launch different launcher,
I've tried to flash CM again.
But nothing works
How can i fix it without wiping? I would wipe but the backup app (mybackup pro) gives an error "Unable to open database file". So i don' wanna wipe without backing up.
Interestingly, some apps on SD works, but it says it can not see SD card. For example, Go SMS app can backup sms to sd card. But it can not see sd card.
Please help me...
Note: I'm using CM 7.0.2.1 (default kernel 2.6.37.4)
I had a similar problem recently...what fixed it for me running CHKDSK. Try mounting your sd card, right click on its properties, then go to tools and then error-checking. I checked off both options and ran it. That seems to have fixed my issue, I guess a file was corrupt. Good luck
edit-This is using windows
SD Card was corrupted.
Hi again,
I understand that my SD card was corrupted. I ran chkdsk and it couldn't be completed. It gave an error. I formatted with SDFormatter. No bad sectors or damaged. Finally i had to reinstall all apps again. Not wiped rom.
I looked for topics but couldnot see anything about this.
I have 32 gb sd card. Despite i moved some apps, phone memory is full now. i cant install anything. i cleared cache but still no place.
I think there are 2 choices, make sd card as internal or divide some part of sd card as internal.
OR are there any ways?
I did not install anything since i bought this phone. no root no upgrade no cwm.
Any help?
See attached file for reference. Uninstall bloatwares if you're rooted. supersu preferred. I opted to use SD Card as my default write disk together with Link2Sd Plus. Linked all my games to my SD. I am enjoying this phone setup at the moment.
What are the steps, i cant understnd.
