[Q] GT-I9000T venezuela

Hello!!
I just got a galaxy s from movistar venezuela. I managed to root it using the guide in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
The version is

Now, the thing is, I don't know how to upgrade to ginger or any other rom... and to add something more, its odexed, and i can't change anything in the system apps.
So, can someone point me in the right direction? if not for upgrading at least to add remove the odexed system apps.
Or a hint on what firmwares are compatibles with this model, 'cause so far... all I've read is "for the international version of the galaxy s" and I really really don't want to brick it!

si si puedes, a mi me acaba de pasar todo un desastre no sabia que estos eran GT-I9000T pense que eran gt-i9000 y le hice upgrade a gingerbread y custom roms kernels roteados todo un desastre, de por si ya en la parte de info me dice que es un GT-9000 pero habia un problema me escuchaban horrible durante las llamadas, todo esto llevo semanas de pruebas hasta que consegui la forma de instalar los archivos de modems de un gt-i9000t y parece estar funcionando mejor
en resumen, primero haz un backup de tu rom, asi de paso me pasas los archivos de radio u.u y despues haces el update normal via odin, y despues con modo recovery instalas el modem.zip que debes haber sacado de tu respaldo

Yes u can i think, i have been passed for a dissaster i just ignore this phones from movistar are GT-I9000T and not a GT-I9000 and i make a upgrade to gingerbread and costum roms ( kitchen rom) and i take root .. the whole combo, the info screen show me my phone is a GT-I9000 X.X, but here start the dissaster, during my calls the sound of my voice was horrible, so i have been testing like 2 weaks trying to fix this., until i found was a problem with the radio files and i found a way to instal modem files of a i9000t and aparently work better
so, in my opinion make a backup of ur stock rom, in that way i cant get the oroginal movistar modem files, later u make the upgrade via odin an when is finnish u install again the radio files from recovery.. and it should be work
pd: like i tell u Allgamer my english sucks =D

casi todos los ROMs para i9000 que vez en DEV los puede usar, el único problema que tal vez encuentre es que después de flashear el ROM pierdas las bandas de radio de 850
lo único que si tienes que tener cuidado es de evitar de flashear ROMs que venga con la .tar de radio, en cuyos casos puedes entrar al menú de bandas de selecciones y prender eso de nuevo.
pero de todas maneras es un lio, basta flashear ROMs que cambia nada mas la parte del PDA
cuando bajas ROMs normalmente viene con varios archivos .tar que normalmente son separados en Radio, PDA, etc...
en esos caso puedes flashear en ODIN la parte de PDA, así previenes el problema de las banda de radio

ROMs for almost all that time in DEV i9000 can use them, the only problem you may find is that after flashing the ROM miss bands of 850 radio
if all you have to be careful to avoid the flash is to come with ROMs. tar radio, in which case you can enter the menu selections and turn bands that again.
but still is a mess, just flash ROMs that changes anything but the part of PDA
when low ROMs typically comes with several files. tar that are normally separated in Radio, PDA, etc ...
in such cases can flash on the PDA ODIN, thus preventing the problem of the radio band

well the problem was i just ignore this because i was thinking my phone is a GT-9000 is what he say when he turn on, and the box but today in movistar central service they say to me is a gt-i9000t and i lost my warranty because i alterate the original software of the phone!!
now let me tell u my history.. when i buy the phone a month ago, first thing i do was instal darky 10 RC3 wich one have 2.3.3 jvk in base right? well i just select all pda phone css in odin and flash.. ok.. i lost the 3g but i just configure again the APN and ok... it was a litlle bugy but i stiil there until the version 2.3.3 Jbv roll out.. once again i use odin etc etc 3 weeks pass and now i want a theme.. so i have to instal a dock kitchend coz most of them are only for undeoxed roms.. just great everything working.. 3G its just great always in H and super fast the internet.. BUUUT! i was having a problem during my calls i hear the ppl good, but they hear me horrible like i was in a tunel or something, and i work with my phone.. i mean like 80 calls in a day.. 40 diferent pll and a less 30 of them always saying ah? uhm? what? i cant hear u!! and omg.. these days i want to kill my self!! so i go to a movistar.. they say me they can do nothing because i change the software bla bla bla.. and the pone is a I-9000T and that can be causing the problem.. so ok.. i tal to a friend with the same phone STOCK! he dont touch anythign and he explain to me maybe i lost the 850 band.. so ok i look into the roms for the i9000t... big surprise they use the same jvb or jvh they flash everything and after all they flash a file called modem.bin or instal in recovery the whole modem.zip wich contain the band 850... and excelent i sound like a normal human in the calls.. but sorprise!! i got the h in the signal.. but its slowy like hell.. ok i think in re configure the apn.. surprise in empty.. ok no problem i decide add it again.. once again a surprise when i pick save he dont do it and keep empty... ._. so, or a nice internet or a nice call!!! im sad!!
pd: like u note this is my first android!! i am a newbie.. who is in a big odisee

just do a full system Data Wipe and Cache Wipe in CW recovery.
install CW recovery (ClockWorks ROM Recovery) if you don't already have it, then boot into the CWR and you can select to wipe the cache and wipe the data.
after that you should be able to save the APN settings
optionally you can find a STOCK i9000T ROM and revert back to stock with ODIN

wew the phone just dont boot more!! xD got stock in the mainscreen GALAXY S GT I9000 donwloading mode.. and flashing 2.3.3 JVH wich modem have 850 in theory good bye apps.. and all the work on the homescreen xD

Hello. This is my very first post in this forum. I have a Galaxy S form Movistar Venezuela and would like to know if Voodoo 5.5 lagfix can be applied to this model because it is I9000T. This model is not International an don't know if any problem could be arises using the odin method to flash it (The restore method doesn’t work).
Also, I would like to know how to backup the entire phone firmware/software in order to have a way to restore it in case of guarantee action.
Any guide would be much appreciated.

Hola, este es mi primer post en este foro. Tengo un Galaxy S comprado hace 2 semana en Movistar y quería saber si podía aplicar el lagfix Voodoo 5.5 sin problemas ya que según el sitio "oficial", Voodoo es solo para el i90000 Internacional y de ciertas operadoras americanas.
También quería preguntarles como hacer un backup completo del firmware original del teléfono, incluyendo el Operatorware para poder restaurar el teléfono en caso de garantía.
Muchas gracias por la ayuda que me puedan prestar.

I dont Know why, but i was trying this, and a got bootloop, over and over again, running JVH and smart Juwe.. any idea?

most uses Odin3. than that superoneclick. it's so easy to change rom / upgrade version. the how to install guide is on every rom you can find here in xda.

there is a thread in the i9000 general section, that has he original rom from movistar, but it is not cwm is a odin rom.

flash it at your own risk!! many people posted that it bricked their phones, so i'm not responsible for anything that could happen to your phone.
i explained in that thread what i did to flash it in order to make it work. because the first time i flashed it it did bricked my phone fortunately for me, it was still on warranty so movistar fixed it. (I said that it didn't turn on any more, so they replaced the logical board)

hay una publicacion en la seccion i9000 general, en la que esta el rom original de movistar, pero ten cuidado y si lo vas a flashear no me hago responsable por ningun daño que pudiese ocurrir!!! ya que hay varias personas que han posteado que el rom les brickeo el telefono ( a mi tambien me lo brickeo, pero como estaba en garantia me lo arreglaron en movistar) lo que quiere decir que realmente si hay algun detalle con ese archivo, luego de que me arreglaron el cel me puse a leer en mucho sitios que podia haber pasado y llegue a la conclusion de que se me habia dañado el boot del telefono, lo que hice luego fue al rom de movistar que habia bajado en el otro thread ( el mismo que me brickeo el cel) le elimine la parte del bootloader y se lo monte, sin problemas. en el thread donde esta el rom explique como lo modifique.
nuevamente no me hago responsable por nada.

I tried to make this question in development's posts but i couldnt coz i'm new here
I'm from Argentina and my company is Personal... and my problem is using data (3g, 2g) conection! i don't have conection!!
Using CM10 roms i don't have any problem.. i tried flashing different basebands and rils but without success!! if anybody can help me i'll be so grateful!!!

First of all: please, avoid posting questions on the development forum. The Q&A forum is there for a reason, you know?
About your issue, it's probably related to your current BB/RIL. Do you remember which BB your device had when 3G worked? I'm also using ICS (V30A), my carrier is Movistar (Venezuela) and got no problems with 3G. I'm using the latest BB (the one bundled with ICS V30A) and haven't changed RIL.
Also, did you check your APN settings (Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names)? Make sure it's the right one, I had to configure mine manually since it was missing.

Check that you have any APN where DrummerMuppet indicated, if you don't have any then create one according to your carrier company, take a look at this.

Fijate que tengas algun APN donde indico DrummerMuppet, si no tienes ninguno entonces crea uno de acuerdo a los datos de tu compañia, fijate aqui. (Si efectivamente no tienes ninguno y creandolo con los datos del link no te funciona, quizas hayan nuevos valores, busca nuevamente en internet o consigue a alguien mas con un android y ves que datos tiene)

[Q] i9070 root UBLG2 firmware

Hello guys, first of all thanks to anybody who reads this. I really appreciate the time and efforts people puts helping others. For this thanks!
Well my problem is simple: I really want to root my device, I have a new Samsung i9070 (S Advance). But when I looked around for this, I saw things were not going to be that easy.
First of all I bought my device in Uruguay (from Ancel).
Second, the firmware that it has now is: I9070UBLG2
Third Im not sure if is stock or not, but I can say that when it turns on the original Samsung animation was changed by an ugly one from my local carrier. Dont know if that means is a non stock firmware or not.
I saw some tutorials to root this device, but they are for some specific firmwares. One of these tutorials said if I didn't have one of the supported firmwares, I needed to flash to one of them...but which!
Also I saw this thing of the binary / flash counter. I would not like to mess with that thing either, and Im not sure which rooting technique does avoid increasing that bloody counter.
I know is too much, that this is a new device and not an important one (like SIII) so probably tutorials are not massive.
I dont pretend any of you guys to answer me and teach me, I know I have some stuff I need to learn; only thing I would ask is some links, or a plcae to start and to trust!

Mira lo que yo se es que, según tengo entendido en Gingerbread (2.3) no puedes rootear sin aumentar el contador binario pero en Jelly Bean si se puede (4.1) lo que pasa es que si cambias de firmware posiblemente si lo puedas rootear en una mejor version pero hay riesgos para pasarse a Jelly Bean como por ejemplo no se sabe si tu operadora tiene el BootLoader bloqueado. En ese caso tendrias el telefono inservible y si logras hacerlo Shaaan tiene un post aqui en xda en el que viene como rootear en Jelly Bean sin aumentar el contador binario, si quieres el link al post si no lo encuentras te lo paso por MP con lo poco que se aqui ando para ayudar >.<

1. Go to his thread "Rooting your Galaxy S Advance without increasing the Binary Counter"
2. Post a REQUEST there that you want to Root and also provide this link too http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=9038
3. He will download your firmware and root it... all you have to do is Download and Flash it using Odin I guess..
4. But the problem is he is concentrating more on CyanogenMOD and not this so he might not do this as soon as possible

Dual boot CM7 and CM10

Quick question, is it possible to dual boot a CM7 and CM10 rom on the same phone or will this not work because of the different BaseBands needed?

Bihariel has a dual boot tread for old bootloader, and spyrosk for the new bootloader (based on bihariel's)

base band need not be different....only thing would be one ROM would show unknown base band....Burr what is important is your communication should be good.
You have to be on the same bootloader...old or new...only one
Then don't use ROM which has a wiping script...it will delete your partitions...
Rest read in spyrosk dual boot thread...yes it was initially made by bihareil.....credits to both.
O2X with Magical ICS ROM and supersonic kernels from my buddies

I believe than a new BaseBand is necesary i installed paranoid for old bootloader in my O2X with cyanogenmod 7.2 and BaseBand 0521 (a old BaseBand) and i didn't have mobile signal, it said error from scan mobile operators, i have a p990h, i am from Colombia.

Estimado soy de Chile y uso movistar, tambien prove con claro y con entel (las 3 grandes empresas de aca) uso cyano 7.2 estable y la bb que uso es 0725 y me anda todo muy bien, incluso con mis manos libres bluetooh motorola q uso para escuchar musica tmbn, el wifi es estable mi 3g anda muy bien, ahora nunca he probado con dual boot y tampoco la cm10, le swap a traves de terminal copiando lo que pusieron aca:

lo unico que cambie fue el directorio del archivo swap que lo puse en la sd (tengo clase-10 de 16gb) y que se active cuando la ram este ocupada en un 25% espero haber sido de ayuda, saludos

Just look in development section and you'll find the dedicated tread. It's also included in the AIO tool found under stickies here just follow instructions carefully. Cm are more dependent regarding baseband than stock. 218b usually works good, but that needs to be tried as it depends on your region sometimes

This guide, has been made for the people that has problem's with the signal, battery and other problem's installing jellybean at Latinamerica.
Most common problem: no signal at all, battery life...

A. i think the problem is the imei, that is lost, when you flash the new versions

To fix the problem, you just have to follow this few steps to make it work
Files needed:
1. STOCK ROM, it can be Froyo, Gingerbread, or ICS, here is a rom you can use (it will work) DJANGO ICS STOCK ROM
2. Hyperterminal Descargar
3. AIOTKV5 Descargar
4. We need a baseband Ir al post (TIP: at
Venezuela, Movistar, i used version V30B)
We need to know our original imei, it's placed at the box, or in the phone, under the battery.
Ok, let's begin!
Firs Step. (Installing the Stock ROM, if you already are on Stock, go to step 2.)
We have to flash a Stock rom, in order to view flash the baseband and connect to Hyperterminal.
Assuming you are on the oldbl, we copy the IntSD-Mount-Fix.zip and our Stock ROM to SD ext, now we open the AIOTKV5 and press option 4, and follow the steps to flash the new unlocked bootloader and install a recovery.
Restart the phone and it will open the recovery, then flash the Stock ROM, in the aroma installer, install whatever you want, we just need the rom for flash a BB.
Step 2. Flashing BB
Now we have a Stock ROM, call *#06#and we will see our imei.
Open the AIOTKV5 and press option 7 and option B, follow the instructions to put your phone Download MODE
In the SmartFlash window we click on the ROM/Copy DLoption and, inCP bin we find the BB that we got from tonyp's thread we have to mark the checkbox ERASE CAL DATA. (BE SURE THE COM PORT HAS BEEN AUTOMATICALLY FILLED)
Now, we go to START, if an error show's at the end of the flash, just close that window, and click start again, do it until, it says disconnecting from phone, or something like that.
Now, we verify our actual imei *#06# and we will se that our imei has changed to something like this 38560000001 or some strange number, or no nomber.
Now call if youare on GB: 1809#*990# / if you are on ICS: 3845#*990#
It will show up a (Hidden Menu)
Click on port settings
Click on CP USB
Click OK (DO NOT MARK THE CHECKBOX)
Now we have to search the port, Equipo -> Administrar -> Port -> LG mobile USB serial Port (COM X) where the X is a number, (Remember that number)
Step 3. Installing the Hyperterminal
Intall it normally, like always.
Open the Hyperterminal, and click Cancel to any windows that shows (some windows requiere a confirmation to close a window)
Now in the main window (a white one), click anywhere, and click on "SPACEBAR KEY" and a new window will show up, to create a new connection, select there the port you just stored, (DO NOT SELECT THE LG..)
Click properties and select the right options like these:
1st checkbox: 115200
2nd checkbox: 8
3rd checkbox: Blank
4th checkbox: 1
5th checkbox: Blank

and press OK, and OK
If everything's fine, the main windows will show up a, Connected: 00:00:00, in the left bottom corner.
Now type "AT" without the quotes, and press enter,
You will see this.
OK
GREAT Now it's easy!
type " at%imei " without the quotes.
You will se a number like this: 38560000001 or other number.
Now type " at%imei=YourIMEI " without quotes, where "YourImei" is your imei, you stored at the begining.
Ejemplo: " at%imei=30265978462 "
And you are done, call *#06# and you can se your imei.
Now you just have to flash your ROM, like CyanogenMOD 10.1, PAC-man, Paranoid, etc...

Esta guia esta pensada para todos aquellos, que tienen problemas (como yo) al instalar cualquier version mas alla de Gingerbread.
Problema mas comun: Sin señal.
F.A.Q.
Q. Porque no tengo señal en ninguna version.
A. El problema es que tu IMEI desaparece al instalarlo, aunque la BB y el RIL esten bien
Q. Problemas que causa.
A. Obviamente no tienes señal de ningun tipo (exepto por el WIFI), la bateria se consume muy rapido, ya que envia paquetes sin respuesta, y sigue intentando para obtener GSM.

Arreglando el problema. Solo debes seguir unos pocos pasos y asi lograr que te funcione.
Requerimientos:
1. ROM STOCK, puede ser Froyo, GB, o ICS. Aqui dejo el link para DjangoManoucheX DJANGO ICS STOCK ROM
2. Hyperterminal Descargar
3. AIOTKV5 Descargar
4. Necesitaremos la Baseband que nos guste Ir al post (TIP: en Venezuela, Movistar, me funciona la version V30B)
5. Sabernos el IMEI de nuestro telefono, en el telefono debajo de la pila, o en la caja.
Ok, comenzamos
Paso 1. (Instalando la ROM de Stock, si ya estas alli salta este paso.)
Tenemos que instalar la version STOCK de la rom, en DjangoManoucheX posee AROMA INSTALLER asi que sera facil instlarlo,
Asumiendo que estas utilizando el viejo bootloader, Copiamos IntSD-Mount-Fix.zip y nuestra rom DjangoManoucheX en nuestra SD externa, vamos al AIOTKV5 presionamos 4, y seguimos los pasos para montar nuestra particion con el nuevo bootloader liberado, e instalamos el recovery.
Reinicias normalmente, y entrara solo a Recovery, buscas e instalas normalmente, no importa que selecciones para instalar, solo queremos la rom para cambiar la BB.
Paso 2. Flasheando la BB
Ya que tenemos nuestra Rom de Stock, marcamos *#06# y veremos nuestra iMei cualquiera que sea el numero.
Abrimos el AIOTKV5 y presionamos la opcion 7 y seleccionamos la opcion B, y seguimos las instrucciones.
En la ventana de SmartFlash vamos a la opcion ROM/Copy DL y en CP bin buscamos la BB que descargamos. Seleccionamos la opcion ERASE CAL DATA. (Debes verificar que el campo PORT se rellene solo)
Y vamos a START, si aparece un error al final, solo cieralo, y dale START de nuevo, intenta hasta que diga, Desconectando.
Ahora, verificamos nuestra iMei marcando *#06# y veremos que nuestra iMei sera algo como esto 38560000001 o un numero extraño, o sin numero, da igual.
Ahora vamos a marcar, Si estas en GB: 1809#*990# / Si estas en ICS: 3845#*990#
Aparecera un Menu oculto (Hidden Menu)
Presionar en port settings
Presionar en CP USB
Presiona OK (NO SELECCIONES EL CHECKBOX QUE APARECE.)
Ya que hicimos eso, verficamos en nuestra pc, Equipo -> Administrar ->Puertos -> LG mobile USB serial Port (COM X) donde la X es un numero cualquiera, (RECUERDA EL NUMERO)
Paso 3. Instalando el Hyperterminal.
Luego de que lo descarguemos, aparecera el Wizard Setup. instalas todo normalmente, y abres el programa.
Presiona en cancelar a todo lo que aparezca, en algunos tienes que aceptar, el cancelar la ventana.
Ahora que quedo la ventana completamente blanca, haz click en cualquier parte y presiona la tecla "Espacio/Barra espaciadora" y una nueva ventana aprecera, diciendo Nueva Conexión, ahora seleccionamos el puerto que ya habiamos recordado, (NO ELIJAS EL QUE DICE LG)
y vamos a propiedades, y colocamos todo asi:
Primer recuadro: 115200
Segundo recuadro: 8
Tercer recuadro: Vacio / o Blank
Cuarto recuadro: 1
Quinto recuadro: Vacio / o Blank

Ahora presiona Ok, y Ok.
Y si haz hecho todo correctamente la ventana dira en la parte inferior izquierda, Connected: 00:00:00
Ahora escribe "AT" sin comillas, y presiona enter
veras algo como esto.
OK
Ahora escribimos " at%imei " sin comillas
veremos algo como esto: 38560000001 o un numero extraño.
Ahora escribimos esto " at%imei=TUIMEI " sin comillas, donde "TUIMEI" es obviamente tu numero de imei,
Ejemplo: " at%imei=30265978462 "
Y Listo! ya que hicimos todo, vamos de nuevo a nuestro movil, y marcamos *#06# y podremos ver nuestro imei.
Ahora simplemente, buscamos la ROM que nosotros querramos, como por ejemplo, CyanogenMOD 10.1, MIUIv4, o la que quieras
Y Puff el problema de la señal ya esta resuelto.

Yes if you install paranoid you will have no signal at all if you have the p990h

I do really think it's because gio doesn't support his rom. But who knows.

Alguien me podría confirmar que con esto se arregla el problema del porcentaje de batería que aparece como 999% y no aparece en la barra de notificaciones
Someone could confirm that this will fix the problem of battery percentage shown as 999% and does not appear in the notification bar

Somebody can help me ?
I lost 3g on Telcel mexico, i have a p990h but when i select wcdma "3g" the signal is lost, i try with nvflash by homero, return to gb flash the baseband v30b and erase my imei and notingh :/

Try choosing wcdma + gsm or something similar, not only wcdma

but when i chose Wcdma + gsm, i dont have 3g stuck on E (edge)
