Hi all,
I really need your help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100G) unlocked from factory.
It comes with Android 2.3.6
It´s from US, but I use it in Argentina
For some reason I couldn't find any update to ICS for it (neither Kies nor OTA).
So I decided to do it manually by using Odin etc etc.
The process failed with this error: samsung galaxy s2 Complete(Write) operation failed.
So I unplugged the phone, and since then, when I turn it on, it ony displays Warning-Phone icon and cannot be set to download mode again.
What can I do in order to back to its original state? (Android 2.3.6) or and Ice cream sandwich suitable for my GT-I9100G
I think the problem was that the downloaded files (.md5 etc) were wrong or not for my model.
Can I use odin again? Or I shoud first put the phone in download mode?
I've tried with a jig, but it did not do anything.
I really need the telephone
Thanks a lot in advance.

Did you do ever flash using Heimdall or Odin?
I'd rather go the procedure described for installing the OVERCOME rom. - It's pretty safe and if you follow all steps, you should end up with a fully working device.

the heimdall one.. i still dont know why this happen >.<
Nevermind, flashed CM10 and it's working. It'll have to do.
My friend has a P1000 and he tried to install CWM by fashing it with Odin. The file he used can be found here -> http://www.mediafire.com/?q8s0wnj1s6109gc and I think it was meant for GB ROMs and he was running Froyo 2.2
Since then it boots up with some graphical artifacts on the screen and then gets stuck at the Samsung logo. Could not boot into recovery.
I tried the unbricking guide in the sticky by flashing the stock firmware (2.3.5, cant find 2.2) + pit file from the sticky but it now just gets stuck at the Samsung logo and it flickers every couple of seconds, I can now enter recovery however. The graphical corruption at startup is no longer present too.
Running out of ideas on how to unbrick the device :/
Some guides suggest a firmware from Overcome but the links I find are dead.
In recovery I get this error

Hi All,
I'm looking to fix this S3 from this boot loop problem. It ended up in this problem from use, not by firmware changing.
ODIN Fails almost immediately when trying to Flash.

I've used the Firmware file name: I9305XXUFNI3_I9305DBTFNI3_DBT from a XDA forum page
This was running Stock Firmware (Grey Import) with root via Framaroot. No Custom Recovery or any Custom changes like Radio firmware).
Before my replacement phone arrive, I had a very similar problem one day and I attempted to do an ODIN Firmware flash to recover, it failed to flash then also but must have done something because my phone continued to work for another 3 months.
I have recovered everything I needed during this time but now I want to get this phone working again.
I can't see anything physically wrong with the phone and there isn't any water damage. I disassembled / re-assembled to check for any internal damage.
Please guide me where I should proceed from here.
