QuickPic gallery supports .gif files but this function is still in beta version.

Hello all,
Not sure if I should post this here but.. how can I implement the minuit camera and music in the latest cm 7.1rc1. I have extracted the miui camera and music from the miui system/app folder and put them into the cm7 system/app folder and renamed them to just camera and music and changed the permissions and zipped it all again.
I done a full wipe and installed the zip and everything works except for the camera and music which just FC.

WHAT Chinese????? am using it in English(if you are talking about the Camera and The Music app)
at leeDroid v3.3.0 the music app, has only Chinese and I can not change it... :-\

You have to set the English language in the general Android settings, I think the default language of miui apps is Chinese, so if you have a language other then English it shows in Chinese...
I do not like the new gallery in ICS. Is it possible to revert to the old style gallery?

I uninstalled mines and use this instead:
QuickPic
One of the first things I do with a new rom is delete Gallery and install Quickpic, which is 264388x better.

What rom u guys using? CM9 and peters roms are hybrid of official and sdk gallery is slow and scrolling is not smooth compared to roms build purely off official release

I'm running vhgomez's 1.3 at the moment, but it doesn't really matter. Google gallery has been outdone by Quickpic since the early gb roms.

If you still have your sdk rom zip, you can extract the apk and try to install will the new rom.

just now i have found the sdk rom and have extracted the apk ("GalleryNew3DGoogle")...but it doesn't install!
U have to use adb and push to system/app/

Use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer Free to copy the apk, navigate to System/App, mount as RW, paste the apk, set permissions, then reboot.
If it doesn't work after that, then the app probably needs specific framework structure found in the original rom. Some MIUI apps are like this and won't work with other roms.

The only problem with quickpic is that it will not sync with Google account. The stock ICS gallery is poop! Quickpic is awesome no doubt, but it could be better.

I have tried this before, homescreen icons look overlapping.
Seems like this version don't fit with our device.

Change background in framework-res.apk/drawable ldpi and then search for the respesctive rom's background app image
If u want to do it in other rom's, u shd edit drawables.xml! And place d image in drawable-ldpi search for wilfredcool007's guide for instructions

Yes it is possible. Or atleast I think so. If u have used A_U's Galaxy S2 Rom V1.. itz there in it. Its not the official S3 launcher. Bt a complete Look alike i.e. 100% with the same transitions in Home screen. its much better than modded Holo Launcher which will just give u the looks of S3 launcher but not the experience. i suggest u try dat... Ask A_U for the launcher in that ROM. i have it. i tried using apk. it dint work.. i think it needs some Lib files which i dnt knw. if somebody tells me then i will upload d launcher apk and other required Libs/framework files

I extracted the launcher of rom Galaxy S2 v1 for use in other
roms, including the libs, and running smoothly in other roms. If you want I can show you how to get the libs or i can upload a flasheable zip I did for my personal use (If A_U permitting of course).
To make the launcher work:
* Open TouchSpaceWiz50Launcher.apk with winrar/7zip and navigate to lib/armeabi and copy files to /system/lib of your rom, set permission (0644), put the TouchSpaceWiz50Launcher.apk, TouchWizSettings.apk, TouchwizwWallpaperChooser.apk, in /system/app, set permissions (0644) and reboot.
Or put files on zip of your rom and flash...
