[Q] how to mirror smartphone screen on pc or tv - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hello fellow galaxy mini lovers...
There is a satellite tv service offered via the 3G network of my service provider which allows me to view live sports events via My phone browser for a reasonable fee of course e.g euros .. Football etc
What am looking for is for a way to mirror whats being displayed on my phone to a pc or tv via the usb cable i hv if its possible... Wifi too aint bad but i hv a feeling a usb connection will offer better quality viewing than a wifi connection since am only.interested in live sporting events.... Any ideas on how i can pull this off with best quality in mind ?

The mini does not have hdmi out.. so you can't watch videos from your mini on your tv by just connecting a cable..

[Q] Using my Galaxy S to connect to xbox live?

Hey all, is it possible to use my Galaxy S and it's USB cable to connect directly to xbox live? It's one of them gay ol' Xbox's that doesn't have wifi.
No, not with usb, but you could use the wifi tethering on your galaxy and get an ethernet wireless bridge for your xbox. I've done that with a mifi so galaxy tethering should work

I've actually used the Wifi tethering app for root users and just enabled that and was able to play with it nothing else required. Your phone does get hot and make sure you have a fast strong connection

[Q] Connect to internet via laptop

Hi,
I searched to find a way to connect my Note to my laptop's internet, but couldn't find a way.
I have no wifi router and therefor I wonder if there is a way to surf internet in my Note by using laptop's internet connection.
Thanks for any suggestions
Connectify. Or reverse tethering (search for it in Android apps section).
Thank you
After trying so hard to get the first option to work on my PC i had to give up.
Tried second one and downloaded the trial from google play and I am now amaized how fast and good this is working. Now I have full internet access on my Note. As fast as my PC's. But you have to use the cable thou.
There's a new app called Opengarden. I haven't tried it, but it looks promising. It uses bluetooth, I think.
Not same
Opengarden is not supporting reverse tethering it is tethering. It means you can use Opengarden to use your mobile's internet on your pc, not your pc's internet on your mobile like reverse tethering. Two diffrent apps.
Just so i've the picture clear, are you using a 3G Dongle to connect to the net on your laptop.
Edit: Have you tried something like this yet? lifehacker.com/5369381/turn-your-windows-7-pc-into-a-wireless-hotspot

I am using a cable. It is student biulding and I connect the cable to my PC and the internet is there.
The problem is that the galaxy Note does NOT support AD Hock as I tried much and changed some system setings from /system/bin. If there was a solution for NOTE to support Ad Hock it would be amaizing.

Bluetooth Sharing

Hi everyone
Well I had Jelly Bean for a long time ago (since they ported it) and now I'm on ParanoidAndroid 1.9.2.
I just wanna know how to activate tethering from my Mac using BT cuz I left my AirPort to a friend ... I just want to notice that tethering WiFi connection over BT in Jelly Bean is working very well but slow connection (BT speed : 1MO/s)
So can I do the revers by Sharing Internet via BT Pan. Other thing : the recognise the BT sharing from my phone as a Pan connection not DUN.
Thanks for any help!
I got a better solution for me. Get the AirDroid app from the playstore. Deactivate mobil data and create a mobile wifi Hotspot with your phone. Connect your mac or PC and share your files.
hope it is a possible solutions for you.
Edit:
Sorry, didn't get it right. You can share your Internet via USB too. Should be handled with good speed.

I know those tricks even revers tethering (you have to test that app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371345) but my q is : I have internet on my Mac by LAN but I don't have AirPort(the wifi card for Macs) and I only have BT on it so I want to share my internet connection w/ my phone (on JB) using BT Pan on the Mac (as it names it).
I'm on lion 10.7.4 (updated)
Thankss again

Please help, I'm going mad

Is there a application that I can use so when I stream anything from a website on my note it will go to my TV wirelessly, at them moment i have to go to a movie website I have to use the TV out lead from my note to my Samsung TV, my videos on my phone all work with all share, but anything from a website I can't do please does anyone know?

No way man, what you are asking is too much...

Why is it ok for all share to stream exactly what's on my phone, but if I go to a website it can't? So I have to have the TV out lead in, as this can't be done wireless?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Im sure it is possible, but just hasnt been done yet!!
just wait for a few weeks or months hopefully not years... someone or the other would be able to do it. There are a lot of geniuses here!!
First, you cannot directly stream any online movie websites as those websites doesn't support streaming their contents outside the borders of the device/media they just support with. In a layman's term. You are bounded to just watch it on your phone or if you like, plug an HDMI cable from your phone to your TV.
However, there's still some possible way you can stream wirelessly movie files BUT you need to have an Internet enabled- TV that supports All Share Connections as well (e.g. Samsung ,LG, Sony BRAVIA, Philips, Panasonic Viera, Toshiba), latest models have this enabled on the TV console itself.
Secondly, granted your internet enabled TV supports AllShare, you can only do streaming thru certain contents only... apps e.g. Imediashare (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bianor.ams&hl=en) enables you to stream online contents from your phone to your TV itself (thru your WIFI network)
Another way as well, is to just stream your downloaded movie files from your phone to your HDTV (you need to have a TV that supports this type of precondition), and wirelessly stream your movie to your internet enabled TV (thru wifi). (the streaming depends on your Wifi connection speed), you can try an app called Twonky for this one if you like. (http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...streaming-from-android-to-tv-pc-dlna-devices/)
Lastly, you can check one last app I can suggest - Playto Universal from Google play(https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5kYXlnbG93cy52aXZpZC5mdWxsIl0. and http://www.playto.tv/), those links would explain some or all of the details on what you might be looking for.
do you have a ps3 ?? if so you can stream it wirelessly ???

[Q] DLNA Mirroring to PC

- Idea: Want to play Mobile Games on my big HD TV (has no DLNA), only solution so far: MHL Cable, but this is a pain in the a s s you need a MHL Adapter, a Charging Cable and a 5 meter HDMI Cable. b*tch please. that's no fun.
- Problem: TV has no DLNA function where i could mirror the Mobile Phone screen, else it would be solved.
Is there a Solution?
my PC is connected with DVI-HDMI to the HD TV, so if i could make my PC work like a DLNA Receiver with VLC Player or something, maybe i could get the Xperia Z find my PC in the LAN as DLNA device and stream the Xperia Screen (Games, Videos) to the PC VLC Player and watch it on my TV then like i play games on my PC.
Is this possible and how ?
DLNA will not enable you to play games on your tv. It will allow the playback of media.
You need something to mirror the phone image. Like MirrorLink. Which isn't available yet.

ok, that's what i thought in the first place.
i contacted the sony support today and they told me that i can not play games from my phone on my older sony bravia tv without a MHL Adapter Cable (Micro USB to HDMI), but with a newer DLAN TV (yes DLAN, he thought it is correct like this, in the end i told him it's called DLNA).
that's where my thoughts came from, that a pc may also be able to view the screen picture and act as a DLNA Receiver like the newer DLNA TVs.
It's not DLNA, it's Miracast. Currently no solution to have your computer act as receiver exists, but it is theoretically possible on any device with WiFi and WiFi Direct.
Remember though that wireless mirroring doesn't work simultaneously with regular WiFi and has over a second delay.

You could play limited media through your laptops DLNA server from the phone, just select your computer from the throw settings. But of course you will have to have the computer connected to the TV.
One scond delay over wifi, dude you need a new router or network config, there is a delay, but I would suggest it shouldn't be one second, this would be due to the connected device rendering the image for display not WIFI lag.
Yes as for using your tv for what you are asking MHL is really your only option

He asked about mirroring, not streaming. Streaming music or movies to your pc is easy, I just use foobar for that (music only).
Miracast doesn't use your router at all, it's WiFi Direct which means it goes directly from your phone to the receiving device. You obviously haven't tried it because there really is quite some delay. Your phone has to compress the display data on the fly, transmit it and then the receiver needs to decode it. Don't expect that too be to fast. Check some YouTube videos and you'll see there is a delay.

Yep and what do you think DLNA is??? Only streaming of various media types. So the answer is clearly NO. That was his question. And that is what I told him

Yes I wasn't referring to WIFI direct nor miracast, and neither were you in your quote stating about the over one second delay, well at least you didn't make that clear. I was referring to using wifi to mirror my screen on my Sony TV, and I state that quite clearly.
You ovbiously got out of the wrong side of the bed
