Hi, i've a problem, but i'm sure there's any solution.
I wanted to update CWM to 5.8.3.1 (recovery_1.28.img). But there are lots of errors. It can't open or mount /cache and it can't also mount USB.
I installed lots of custom ROMs before, and everytime i'm installing one, I format EVERYTHING and mount the USB Storage and copy a ROM.zip to sdcard.
But i can't mount it and now i've a "empty" phone. I can relock or unlock the bootloader, can go into the bootloader/fastboot/recovery.
When I'm installing a RUU, there's a Bootloader Version Error 140. I think that's because it's a 2.3.5 RUU. (..Runnymede_O2_DE)
What can I do? How can I do it?
Flash it via fastboot, recovery adb?
Downgrade HBoot?
Sometimes there was a "Remote: signature verify fail" error.
Please help me.

Adb the ROM.zip to your SD card. And then flash it

Thank you for your answer
But,
how can i move it? (i can only use adb recovery)
I just clicked on "choose zip from sdcard" and CWM says "E: Can't mount /sdcard/"
I'm sure it worked three hours before, but i tried out so many and nothing worked, i wipe everything again, if something happen i'll get back

In recovery with your phone plugged onto The PC. Rename your ROM zip file you want to flash just name it ROM and then Copy it to adb directory on your PC. The in command prompt CD to your adb directory and type 'adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/'
It will sit there for a while. But be patient. Once its done find the ROM.zip under the choose zip from SD card choice in cwm.
Here is a thread to explain what I mean. Has screenshots too. Although this is for the one s. The principle is the same.

Unless your on the ICS hboot, you should use older recovery.

Like an idiot i flash a mod for a de-odexed ROM to my stock ROM UK Three M7. So stuck at the boot screen.
The problem is i cant seem to do anything about it. I have no back up (I know !!!), no ROM file on the device to flash and i cant seem to push anything to it.
ADB just says no device found even though it was working ok. Can anyone help? Ive tried it on multiple PCs.

Did you tried with ruu?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
As understand it if you have an S-ON device(i do) you have to use the right onee or it will fail. Its Three branded unit,so i need a three RUU. There isnt one out there.
RUUs only work if adb can see detect it
Have you tried going through fastboot? Just fastboot some boot.img to get it to boot, then put a ROM on your sdcard
It sees it now. I can get into recovery (CWM) and fastboot, but i have nothing to flash on the phone, i cant get anything onto the phone to flash! I try ADB sideload, it gets to100% but it says..
E: Can't open /tmp/update.zip
(bad)
I tried pushing to the SD card but the recovery then doesn't see the ZIP, its just not there.
/sdcard wont mount in CWM, nothing happens.
I tried a boot.img from the Maximus thread.
Ok its now accepted the sideload! Ive installed the ROM and its rebooted...

If you could get into recovery, theres a toggle / enable mass storage mode too? You couldve done that to mount your sdcard

Yeah there is no toggle in CWM and the stock recovery I reflashed was only a test build, and didnt actually do anything.
Well its now working again fine. I dont really know why it worked, but it did. It was suggested i try the Aroma file manager first, which sideloaded OK and let me browse the file system. I then re-downloaded the ROM I was trying to use (Maximus) and tried that. It worked with no errors, although the Aroma installer crashed the first time through, which I understand isnt unusual on the One.
Seems i didnt need to access the SDcard at all, it was just a problem with sideloading. It may have been a corrupt ROM download.
Needless to say i now have a CWM backup, Titanium backup and a ROM file on the SDcard just in case.
You cant mount USB storage in recovery on the HTC One, you can only use ADB Sideload to send the ROM if your stuck in a bootloop or if youve erased the system partition:
I have uploaded the latest binaries to my dev host account.
1. Download and extract these to a directory and copy the rom over into the same directory.
2. Boot up your phone into twrp recovery or a recovery that supports ADB Sideload.
3. Select advanced and adbsideload (Your phone will be waiting for the file transfer.)
4. Open command prompt in the above directory you created with the binaries and rom.
5. Issue command "adb devices" (You should get the serial number with sideload next to it)
6. Finally issue command "adb sideload rom.zip" (rom.zip will be the name of your rom)
This will start sending your rom to the handset and will automatically install.
Hope the above helps

That's what I was doing, it simply wasn't working. It might have been a corrupt ROM download.

Could very well be. Happens more often than you would think
But the mass storage thing is strange....I've seen it on almost all recoveries, but i know TWRP no longer has it in their newer builds, maybe the same thing happened with CWM?
Hi everyone.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted a Telus HTC One. But the latest flash went wrong and I went into bootloop. Somehow, I seem to have gotten myself into a situation where there's no ROM installed. I can still get into Bootloader and Recovery. When I try to start the phone, it's stuck at "HTC Quietly Brilliant" screen.
I've tried factory resetting, wiping everything, relocking the bootloader and loading the Factory RUU Zip using the All-In-One tool kit by Hasoon, and sideloading a ROM. Nothing seems to work. I also managed to push a ROM to the phone using the adb push command. When I try to install it using TWRP, I get an error msg "Unable to open zip file." It failed using CWM recovery as well.
When I plug the phone into a computer, it recognizes something is plugged in. But I can't open the drive at all. I get error msgs when I try to mount sdcard, system, data, anything. Things don't seem to be mounting/recognized at all. HTC sync and drivers are installed.
Experts, what else can I try?
Try downloading a Telus clean nandroid backup. Then go back into recovery (depends of what nandroid you get, make sure you have the right recovery, so if you download a CWM nandroid use CWM).

Thanks for the suggestion. Not having any luck finding a Telus nandroid. Would it make matters worse if I try to restore from a non-Telus nandroid? My phone can't mount the /sdcard right now. Suppose I'll have to adb push it to the phone again?

You don't mount the sdcard in HTC One you mount the data partition.
Also what happens if you sideload a ROM?
PHP:
adb sideload <ROM>
Have you tried erasing cache after installing a ROM if successful?

And I haven't had successfully installed a ROM since I bricked the phone.
Install a custom ROM and kernel on your USB from the computer, mount the USB in Twrp using the otg cable. Flash ROM, if it doesnt boot, flash the kernel.
Flashing the kernel fixed it for me.
Another way is to use an adb pusher app and transfer thevfiles to your SD card.

Thanks everyone. Somehow it sideloaded when I tried for the twentieth time.
Here is my problem. I flashed the HTC Google edition of Android 4.3 using ClockworkModRecovery and my phone then started going through a boot loop (the white HTC screen would repeat over and over). I don't have any other ROMs on the SD card to install and I don't have a backup in CWMR to revert back to my old ROM. I've tried side loading a ROM but everytime I do that, the cmd prompt says either device not found or it will say list of devices but nothing is listed. I've made sure my drivers are up to date, I downloaded the latest SDK and downloaded the tools for 4.3, 4.2.2, and 4.1.2. I even tried putting the stock Sprint RUU back on my phone but when I run that it says that it can't update my phone (and I did lock the bootloader for this procedure). I am kind of at a loss for what to do. Is there anyway for me to get a ROM on the SD card so that I can load it in CWMR without using sideloader? I obviously can't remove the internal SD card and I can't get it to show up as a removable device on my computer because I don't have a ROM that my phone can boot on.
its about time people read before flashing incompatible roms
Yeah I realized that after the fact, any ideas on what to do?

Also, when I try to sideload via TWRP, when I am on my phone and try to start ADB sideload within the recovery, it says failed, so I don't even have the chance to sideload a ROM from my computer.
Also, I tried turning S-OFF and when I use the command ./revone -P I get this message back

Any ideas on what to do next?

Okay I was able to flash a new zip. There was something up with my SD card that was preventing me from successfully flashing ROMs via TWRP, but I went into fastboot on my phone and then from the cmd prompt ran fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
After running that command, I went back into recovery and installed the Cyanogenmod zip and it ran fine.

Connect USB to windows Boot into Recovery, selecr Advanced, choose Sideload, then swipe to start sideload
then with adb use command 'adb devices'

I think you have a corrupted partition. Try this: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/fix-data-htc-one.html
Just something I found with a quick search but, I hope that will fix your problem, if not you should google around for more alternative methods to repairing a corrupted data partition
How Do I Recognise The Problem?
When trying to mount the DATA partition from inside the custom recovery using the mount /data command you will most likely see this output: mount: mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p37 on /data failed: Invalid argument
To be 100% sure you can check filesystem structure with the following command: /sbin/e2fsck -n -f /dev/block/mmcblk0p37
Good luck

So, I did part of this because I'm having a similar issue. I was able to flash CWM, but unable to mount USB storage in order to get this thing booted up. I tried to sideload and that's unsuccessful.
When I use the devices command in adb, it doesn't list it. However, when I typed devices in fastboot, it listed it. Obviously, I'm starting to get pissed.
i had a same problem, needed 3 days to solve it.I understand that adb cant recognize the device(i was getting that error too)and(typing "adb devices" sometimes shows the device)--,but can you put a zip file on internal storage of the phone, now when you have cwm recovery?try to get many informations as you can, read, you will fix this.i didnt try to fix partitions mentioned above, but you can try with that.

It seems like your data partition is trashed, and maybe you need to format it. This is more aggressive than wiping /sdcard and /data. TWRP can do this, and CWM probably can, too. Also, "fastboot devices" should only show the phone when it's in fastboot mode, and "adb devices" will show the phone when it's in recovery or running Android (with USB Debugging enabled).
If you want to poke around a little bit before taking this drastic step, I would try one more time to get adb connected--boot the phone to recovery, wait a few seconds, attach the cable, then give "adb devices" another try. Also, I don't know if the driver necessary for ADB is the same as fastboot. It's possible your computer is configured to do one but not the other. Is there someone else's computer you can ask to use for a few minutes to check this?
Solved unmount /system /cache /data
i've format all the formattable things in twrp , reboot and used adb push and after flash cyanogenmod! ! Thank you all guys !:good:

Try what @JudgeFutta said. The error's most likely due to corrupt partitions.

Try to get in Recovery and from mount option mount system and then try it will work or try this
Make Sure HTC Drivers are installed and ADB is already working
1. Reboot into TWRP
2. in TWRP, Hit andvanced and find Sideload
3. Swipe to start Sideload
4. Open a CMD Prompt window and Change Directories to where your adb.exe is
5. type adb devices and it should show your device conntected and say sideload
6. Your ZIP file should already be in your adb folder
7. You are now ready to push the zip.....
8. type adb sideload nameofzip.zip
9. Wait until it says 100% and reboot back into recovery to flash the ROM
10. If hitting power does not make the screen come one, type adb reboot recovery
11. if adb reboot recovery does not work, hold power and volume down until it reboots to fastboot then go to recovery
ADB Push from Recovery - If Sideload Fails For You
adb push rom.zip /data/media/0/
Be sure u r in Recovery when using ADB Push command.
