Ultra_V1.0 is my very first attempt at building a custom rom ive had samsung galaxys for about the last year and run custom roms on them all. my favourites have been the aosp roms and ive tried to recreate this with ultra. Ive learnt alot in the past few days and would like to say a big thanks to the android community for the tutorials that people take the time to write.

Sweet, gonna try this over the weekend, was running Slim ICS on the SGS II and loved it.....looking for that AOSP look and feel now on the SGS III as not a fan of TW

wasnt sure if it should all be B+W and tried to match the blue with that aosp blue.
I think that i will change them to B+W in the next release
Error on start-up: 'Unfortunately, Exchange Services has stopped'.
Also, force close on Email client.
Did not data wipe on install, just cache wiped. Coming from latest UK rooted rom.

Some optimizations, a lot of debloating, Optimized PNG's. Shaved off around 40mbs. Just started working on this tonight, there will be more to come. Working on getting this as fast and smooth as possible. When Sammy releases official TW, I will pick that up and start on it too.

I suggest that speed and stable are the most important elements to be a good ROM

Nice ROM, like the theme. Nice and smooth. But Play store tells me that some apps aren't compatible with my device. These apps worked flawlessly on cm10/Nexus7.7/ParanoidAndroid. For example "Angry birds Space", "Dragon Fly, free" and "Goodreads".

Yes, because dpi (212): gmail account log then data and cache delete gates play again accept and then it goes but it is not at all apps.

Hmmm...then why not just use 213 which is the official Nexus 7 DPI?
213dpi is stock. 160-170 is much better but not everyone likes it therefore fair number 212

Don't know if it's just me but Chrome doesn't load anything. Just white pages. I even changed DPI to 213 and same thing. Anyone else able to load anything on Chrome?

Reason I'm asking I'm currently on Ice Cream sandwich & was wondering if it's worth doing a backup, factory reset & using this rom.
Any advantages or differences for the better when using this rom? Everything 100% working/faster/smoother than ICS, stable?
Finally is this rooted? I have several apps that require root access, otherwise anyway to root?

It uses Hydracore Kernel OC Version. Use with 1.4 Ghz limit and SmartassV2 as governor for best performance and battery. :good:

Just a note gavin used to recommend devs not to use the oc as default kernel as not all phones will boot using it maybe a little warning would be needed else you may get repeated my phone wont boot comments

Great ROM, installed and configured it and found that all works smoothly, the only strange problem I faced - when dialing to any contact from my contacts list I see contact name and phone number and below some strange text - Chinese words in English letters.
Is it a known problem?
Update: found the root of the problem - it was a phone number locator. I turned it off via contacts > call settings

Thanx, But till now I havent faced an issue. If anyone has a problem I will change it to the Standard Edition.

No, port TW 6.0 to TW 4.2 is very ultra plus lite hard v4, sorry :'v
The rom stuck on the entering screen then nothing happen ...i follow all the instruction you sqy and the recommended recovery

yeah,i was going to edit it. my internet suck today.
im testing the rom right now,im from chile,here we have i9080l device,is the same as i9082l,so i hope works good on my device.
well so far so good,i have i9080l device wich is the same as i9082l device. ive followed all the instructions and no random reboots.only a few minor bugs changing wallpaper and stuff,im looking for a rom with low ram usage so i will test this rom a few days and then come back.
@CriCroCra @OptidroidPlus still using it.sometimes random reboots,not big deal,but the gps doesnt work.i use opera and ecosia browsers,doesnt work in both.
I have to say i saw a weird thing,in phone model says gt i9505 .i see that you have a rom for that model too,maybe you switched roms by error,i dont know.maybe thats the reason for some people experienced more bugs than me.
But i will still use this rom,remember i have i9082l device.
