really disappointed with volume ,help me how to boost it - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

really disappointed with volume ,help me how to boost it
i am (ics lpf rooted + speed mod kernel)
i know that:
1-voodoo not supported to speedmod kernel
2-ics > GB With about 7 db
but ics not fair enough for loud sound
what the latest app or kernel which help me get my ring and music sound louder????
but didnt harm or damage our speakers as i tried some boosters at my old xperia x2 which damaged one of my speakers ( i need a soft boost not hardware boost ) as i think

Get speedmod and install voodoo louder need root for that
Also note is big so chance you cover speaker or dont place your ear properly on it is also higher.

[Q] How do you amplify headphones without flashing

Hey guys, Im semi new to android phones and hacking them. Ive been looking for a way to amplify the volume (aux out or headphones) of my galaxy s. I drive alot and so plug it into my cars headset. Ive been looking at other methods of how to do this but most require flashing voodoo and voodoo sound or something. Not knowing how/ wanting to flash my galaxy yet, is there anyway to do this without?
Your help would be appreciated.
Of cause if the only way is to flash i will look into it.
Download "louder volume hack app "off of applanet . Go to widgets . Add it and click on the red one . It its really loud .

But you loose quality, it is software enhanced sound which means it distorts sooner. With voodoo its different, its taking advantage of the inbuilt hardware.. The wm8994 amp inside the phone is very powerful and capable of driving high end headphones that normally require an external amp, for some reason samsung gimped it when the released the phone.. But voodoo fixes that and gives you a much better music experience. Louder but without loss of quality.. It also has improvements for the mic as well.

I agree with St4ark. Flash either voodoo or speedmod kernal and download voodoo control app from the market. The difference is amazing.

I havent tried voodo sound, but generally speaking, If its louder it can't be better quality.
HP volume is too much on the galaxy for my hearing, I just wish it could have more volume steps like 20 or 30 instead of 15.
In the night even on the 1 volume is too much.

Audio boost app on mkt. Boosts the same way voodoo does by upping internal amp setting. Don't need to flash but do need to be rooted.

Hey guys thanks for all the help. ill try out audio boost first. I have rooted, and used oclf (one click lag fix) on my phone. Im not sure if i want to put voodoo on it. Does voodoo fix the messege lag?
the new voodo has mic settings which audioboost doesnt so you can "finally" record at a concert with decent sound.
also if you dont want to muck with your lag stuff (vodoo kerenel) take a look at hardcord kernel.. many more options than voodoo.. i am
using it and it has back light notification support, lagfix (off by default) and voodoo latest sound support among other stuff.

Yup it changes file system to ext4 which is faster than rfs, so lag is reduced.
Also flashing it with odin is pretty easy, but be sure to read up on it before doing it because if you check the wrong box you can have problems..
Be sure you have 3 buttons mode working before you do any sort of customising though.
Thanks for the info st4rk. I appreciate it.If i were to flash though, id use the reboot method, cause i dont have a windows computer in my house. (Only linux and freebsd). Which means id have to install the 3 button restart. Just a question though, do i have to uninstall my lag fixes before flashing? and does voodoo use the 512 meg of ram? What quadrant standard score should i expect? im running at like 1500 atm. thanks for the help
u’d better try the newest speedmod kernel
or voodoo, both of them can meet your request
sorry, which request?
Try 3rd party MP3 player called PowerAMP. It has an Equalizer with one of the preset modes called: Phone Speaker (Loud). It makes the audio out really loud without any system modifications . Just found out about it.
My power amp trial ran out. it made the speaker louder but not the head phones
It definitely does the head phones louder as well. Just tested it again.
oh, maybe i wasnt using it right? dam

[Q] Low Audio on Nexus One

Hello
I got one Nexus One with last oficial update.
When I used the audio cable or the bluetooth the sound is OK, but when I use the phone directly on my ear, the sound is too low... Can anyone help???
cyanogen ROM has the audio boost which makes a world of difference. you really need to just flash a kernel with the audio hack enabled.
But is this a normal problem from Nexus One? Or it´s better to send it to warranty?

Its normal for most of us. I need a ROM/Kernel with the Audio Boost too, but some people say they don't.
I have the same issue since I picked mine up when froyo came out. I deal with it since i don't make many calls. If it is too loud to hear a call I just use speaker phone (maybe adjust the volume and hold it backwards up to my ear even). Bluetooth and speaker phone seem fine. However I am considering loading Cyanogenmod 7 once there is a final build.
You can use the DSP Manager and boost treble, HTC doesn't like bass like nokia

its basically normal. just about all HTC phones come with audio that is too low out of the box. the audio boost hack originally made it so loud that over 50% volume would blow out your ear hole. then they lowered it slightly to make it about perfect.
stock volume will always be low and there's nothing you can do about it without installing the kernel with audio boost.
Many thanks to all!
I will use a cable audio, its the best....
Regards!
Can anyone suggest any 'good' solution? kernel or otherwise to fix this $#@$# 'bug' of low in-call volume in Nexus One??
Would really appreciate all the help!

[Q] Customized ROMS have different sound quality?

I just noticed, when I first installed a customized ROM, there is a DSP Manager which boost the bass of the sound/music. But after testing 3 different customized ROM, all with DSP Manager, they differ in sound quality. The last costumized ROM I have used is the loudest. Is this because of a program/module that was included on the customized ROM? Will this affect or break the speaker of the phone?
-------------------
X8 white/blue
Stornmix V2.2 with stock Kernel
16GB Micro SD
It may have something to do with x loud but dont think it would break the speaker as I used to make my k800 go stupidly loud and the speaker never broke just used to get fuzzy on full volume
Sent from my E15i using xda premium
Before my latest customized ROM, i used to set the volume to max level. But now, i have to adjust it to at least 3/4 of the volume since it was too loud already (using an earphone) and it now vibrates my ear due to too much loudliness. On top of that, there is no Xloud feature present on my Stornmix ROM. Hmm...

Voodoo Louder (paid) volume keeps going up and down

Hi all, I'm coming from a Sgs2 where Voodoo Louder was perfect but on my Note when I set the audio boost with the slider, for example at +6 dbm, it's ok and it does the boost but when I press the volume buttons on the side of the phon the volume loose the boost and return to the original "Samsung setting".
In the app I have not ticked smart boost option and I have set the limit to +6 dbm so I don't understand why it does this when my Sgs 2 with the same settings doesn't loose the boost when pressing the volume buttons.
I am on Rocket V-20 Rom with AbyssNote Kernel 3.5c.
This happens with stock samsung music player and also with player pro and with Power Amp full Version
Thanks in advance for your help.

i have the same problem. i'm on xxla4 with cf root kernel. it also happens with voodoo control plus on my original sgs. maybe we'll have to ask the developer.
Having some issues with it too. Whenever i press back button(anywhere) it will be back to pre-louder mode.
I was also having the same issue with Rocket Rom V20... But upgrading to V22 has resolved the issue.
Hi, I strongly recommend using Smart Boost which gives optimal audio quality results and provides a better usability as well.
This may warrant a new thread, but is there anyway to make Voodoo Louder boost the output of the Samsung docks as well? I love the boost provided to the headphone output, but the output from the Samsung car dock is very low and poor quality. I noticed the output is controlled by the media volume on the phone, so I was wondering if there is anyway to make Voodoo Louder boost this output as well?
