How does it work?
I recorded a video on the Diamond and in the menu chose "Upload to YouTube".
How do I know it's working? I can't see anything happening? Is there a program I need to open?
I'm logged into my YouTube account in Settings > Connections > Account manager.
EDIT: It appears it does everything itself...it appeared in my YouTube uploads after a few minutes!
EDIT again: The quality of the video on Youtube wasn't great. The camera is set to the highest settings. is there any tweak I can do for the Youtube uploader to upload at a better quality?
SORRY i am use diamond too
why i can not find the file Windows\26948339_manila properties in it
where is it?
my rom is 1.93
i find it in windows folder very long time...
I'm having a problem playing videos from the gallery app.
I can see them in the gallery, but when I click on them I get a message saying "Unable to play video".
If I try to open it from Astro I get "File type <WHATEVER> not found"
However, if I open Rockplayer it works fine. I'm assuming it's because I used TI to delete the stock video player app (thinking rock would just take over), but I can't say for sure.
Has anyone else seen this? If possible can someone link me to the original video player app so I don't have to flash back to stock to get it?
Did you try clearing the defaults in settings?
Unless I am thinking of the wrong thing (settings > applications > manage) I have the following options that sound like they could be applicable (meaning there might be some I'm overlooking):
com.samsung.mobilevideo
com.sec.android.app.videoplayer
rockplayer
none have any defaults set.
is there a way to just globablly reset the defaults?
problem solved
Go to settings, all programs, gallary setting, clear data, force stop if it is currently running, disable the app, wait for few seconds and again enable the app, on first start it will ask default video player select whatever u want and enjoy.
Problem may be the default vedeo player set earlier is uninstalled by u. Thanx
I am having a very similar issue. I record a video. 30 seconds long. I stop recording tap the image of what I recorded, it opens gallery.- I select to play the video. the video opens. I click play and a grey message comes up (unable to Play Video) the standard played just fine. I made no changes to the phone after rooting and installing custom rom. it worked fine. now all the sudden. it will not play videos. (only videos I recorded on the phone) everything else such as web and youtube work fine. this is not the first time I have run into this the only option was to install a retail rom and everything worked great. this is a Samsung galaxy s5 g900v I have spent over thre hours on google and bind searching for a solution and I can tell you..it would seem this is an issue many people are having. I don't like VLC I like the stock player. though I dont know what it is called but I have this Rom (VZW_BPB1_ODEX_DEODEX_V9) it has no file browser and no purple video Icon. (thats the one I dont know the name of) and I am not sure what this rom uses to play video. ..so if anyone has a solution please post it. I tried the above and they did not work. I also tried solutions that were offered on other sites to no avail.
Hi.
In short: How can I avoid that pesky "not available on mobile" message and watch Youtube videos just like on my computer??
Long version:
I sometimes run into the "Not Available on Mobile" message when trying to run a Youtube link from facebook/twitter and such. Example: youtube.com/watch?v=jRKsxAsQgAk (as of 16/4/2011 2pm cest)
First try:
On my Desire and Desire HD they had an option in the Internet Settings to disable "mobile view" of websites, and as such I could just open youtube videos in the browser instead of the Youtube App. On LG there is no such menu option available there?
Second try:
Found another way to disable mobile view, in the HiddenMenu(call '1809#*990#' , credits to Paul for this) where you can switch or change the User Agent string yourself.
First I tried the Mozilla one in the list, but then websites tells me that my browser is outdated. Then I copied the one from my PC (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; da; rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319 Firefox/3.6.16) and used that instead.
Now youtube doesnt whine about my browser being updated, instead it tells me that I need Flash player 10. I checked in Android Market and I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (10.2).
Now I don't know what to try next. Is it possible in the UAString to tell the browser that I do have Flash 10?
Not sure about the app or firefox, but the xscope browser has user agent in settings. Whenever I have that issue I just change that and can watch the video. Never had an issue with it not finding flash.

Any other people and having this problem? I figured that the espn.com website would be using html5. I have also read about it, however, when I go to the site, it tells me to install flash, which I can't do in Chrome. Even when I try playing a video on the mobile site, I get a message saying the video can't be played.
I have tried this with dolphin, boat. (with flash), Chrome, and stock browser. Nada bueno.
Works perfectly on all ios devices, iphones, iPad. Little android issues hurt my soul, and I don't want to go back to iPhone, but I pay for espn insider, and if I can't get this to work...
Sad.
Would loading their dedicated app solve this problem?

What happens when you try it with Dophin (with flash). What does it say?
Also in the settings for the browser make sure you request the desktop version of the website. I just got my Note 3 and haven't tried yet. But on My note 2 I was able to watch espn.go using the preinstalled browser (with flash) by requesting the desktop version of the website.
The espn app blows. The videos won't play on it either, but I attribute that to shoddy programming.
In Dolphin, I see the video image, but no play shows up. It's basically a static image that can't be clicked.
I have reinstalled every browser, and I also reinstalled flash several times. I still have my iPad, so I not up a creek completely.
Also, a friend of mine has the same results on his Note 3.
Annoying as hell.

Try Firefox. I just found out that the stock browser in Android 4.3 does not support flash. I was able to watch espngo with firefox.

crud... says not authorized to play on device when viwing desktop site even with UAV set to desktop
Solution (Must Be Rooted)
2 Solutions.
Flash Solution:
1.) Download Dolphin or UC, or Boat browser and set it to Desktop UA. (you will obviously need flash player as well)
2.) Download the libflashplayer.so.zip file I have attached. Once downloaded find the file and remove the ".zip" from the file (it was the only way I could upload the file.) File Should now be "libflashplayer.so"
3.) Place this file in /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib It will advise that this file already exists (using root explorer) and ask if you want to override it. select yes. This file makes the flashplayer appear to be from a windows device. (Hulu and ESPN use this check for their media)
4.) Close all browsers then open the browser back up and you should be able to access the videos at these sites.
Chrome Solution:
1.) Download Chrome or Chrome beta from the play store.
2) Download Chrome UA from the play store
3.) Open Chrome UA and set the user agent to IPad.
4) Close the the chrome brower (If it is open) and open it back up. You should be able to watch all the videos on ESPN.com using HTML5.
Enjoy
Hello everybody,
I have an issue with a friend's Z1.
When someone sends him a YouTube link in Facebook, it does't open with YouTube.
It used to open with a Z1 embedded video player but it couldn't open the video link.
After he reset the app open assignments, the window to choose which program to use to open the link pops up, but there NO YouTube in the list!
YouTube is in the device of course as a ROM internal application (so I cannot remove it to re-add it).
Any ideas?

I don't know if it's possible, but maybe try uninstalling any updates to the Youtube app? Or clear cache/data if you haven't tried yet.
I take it your friend's Z1 is not rooted?
Yes it is not rooted.
I think there is option to uninstall updates. Then reinstall them?
I don't see how cache/data clearing will help though.
When I click a YouTube link in the fb app it asks to open in a browser window. I use chrome. It then pops up asking to use chrome or YouTube app to play the video.
Try clearing the defaults in the browser that's used
