[Q] TriNiTy SensationXL V 5.0 Final - Random FC/Reboot? - HTC Incredible S

I've just updated to Trinity v 5.0, but my phone keeps rebooting itself after scrolling the homescreens. I flashed the 1 GHz script and changed the Kernel to Unity v10, now it's back to normal again without reboots.
Does anyone know why this is happening? No one else on Trinity's thread seems to have this problem...

Your CPU cannot handle anything more than 1GHz. That's probably the thing that caused the reboot.
Not all CPU can handle >1GHz due to the nature of the manufacturing process of the CPU, so you are a bit unlucky to get the CPU that can only run 1 GHz max, still its still satisfy what it says on the spec..

Thanks, that's what I thought. But it's only after I flashed the Unity v10 kernel then it would stop rebooting. Is it because the Ruslik kernel that comes with it is custom made for OC? Should I go to Tweaks now and remove OC Daemon then?

I think the Ruslik kernel comes with OC, therefore it reboots every time, just try to make it to 1GHz it should work, if not its probably kernel bug. And you don't have to remove the OC daemon after, just set it to 1GHz and you are good to go.

In TriNiTy SensationXL 4.5 i have a reboot bug in FBReader. If i won't touch the screen for some time the phone will reboot. And in 5.0 final version i have force close in FIFA 12. Anyone else has this problem?

Daemon Controller on Sense ROMs

Hi All,
- I am seeing an issue with Daemon Controller used in almost all of the latest Sense ROMs for Nexus One.
- I kind of know that my Nexus One becomes sluggish on over clocking. I have seen that it works fine when min = 245 MHz and max = 998 MHz.
- So when I set these values in Daemon controller, it accepts these values. But when I restart the phone these values are reset to default ones of min = 125 MHz and max = 1113.6 MHz.
- I then installed an application called CPUSpy from market. This shows the time spend by CPU in all the possible frequency states. It always shows that my maximum frequency is 1113.6 MHz when I know I have set it to 998 MHz in Daemon controller.
- I have seen this issue on Hypersense, Runneymede etc. I do not see such a thing happening on eVil's Desire HD port. The difference between these ROMs is eVil's ROM does not have Daemon Controller.
- One more thing common to all the latest Sense ROMs is, they use dbasabe's Sense kernel. So I am not sure if this issue is caused due to kernel or the Daemon Controller application is to be blamed here.
Can experienced folks please shed some light on this issue?
I would like to know how to set the a lower clock speed too, as it is a little bit hot.......

Hi All,
This thread had almost ~200 views but only 1 reply. I sincerely request to all the knowledgeable folks here to shed some light on the query in this thread. Its because of my phone getting sluggish on over clocking, I cannot use latest sense ROMs for longer times. Hope to get some positive output out of this thread.
Thanks in advance for your time and comments.
Finally I found the solution in a reply inside hypersense 3.0.
I use the app "setcpu", in the first page of the app activate settings and choose preflock disabler, after that the clock can be down back to 1GHz.
Hopes it helps.

Can't OC beyond 1140Mhz..!

Hello guys ,
I had recently serviced my SGS due to a charging issue , now it's working all fine on ICS CM9 B16+Semaphore but this issue is bugging me, i can't OC my Processor beyond 1140 mark that was available in semaphore script manager & even i can't change my ARM,INT voltages in NStools.......!
Maybe they had switched the Mobo or the whole SoC chip but still all my photos and videos were untouched...
Anyways if i try to change these my phone freezes and reboots .
Any ideas ??
Can you try underclocking?
If you can't set your clock to anything but the stock speed, then there maybe some issue with rooting or some system issue.
If the issue is just a matter of not being able to get beyond 1140, it maybe a case wherein the hardware can't go beyond that. Not all processors are built equal.
just my 2 cents
have you tried changing your kernel?

yea, maybe they had snapped in a new Cpu which can't go beyond 1140Mhz..!
this is sad...
thnkya anyways..!

Well,I'll try Glitch but if still the problem persists then it's sure that the new cpu is a crap.

Hi Ashtrix,
your currently installed Rom, Kernel and Tools are not 100% compatibel.
NS-Tools didn't work for Semaphore Kernel.
Use the Semaphore 0.74 apk to optimize the kernel.
Update your Semaphore-Kernel, the newest Semaphore-Kernel support OC 1200.
But give an CNA Rom and a Semaphore-Kernel a chance.
That is IMHO the best combination for your SGS.
But .....
with an CNA-Rom and a Semaphore-Kernel there is no need to OC

[Q]the cpu ignores max/min values

Hello all,
so in the effort to make my O4X last like a normal smartphone when not in use iv'e rooted it,unlocked the b/l and flashed custom kerenal.
i did managed to go from an avg. -10%/hr battery drain to 5%/hr but still even if i dont use the phone it will go down alot.
i've tried setcpu, trickster,no frills cpu and none of them could really keep the cpu in the freq. i want. it shos sucess in appling the values but then it jumps below and above the value's iv'e set.
what can be done?
thank you
Have you tried no-frills cpu setting to prevent system for making changes to the cpu frequences?
Yes.. Still not sticking and ignore the freq. I set
@genia.m which kernel are you using ?
Currently I'm on the latest Werewolfjb.
It happened with stock kerenal too..
Might be the rom's fault?
Well it can be, I believe it is the kernel but still, try to change your rom to one which has been reported to not having the baseband wakelock and similar wakelocks . It is the Nvidia Tegra 3 which overrides the definitions and sets them to default. It used to happen with me in stock and on cm too, but I changed to another stock rom , a modified one, and is working like a charm, no stupid wakes.
Try and post the result if you want !

[Q] Small lags here and there

Hello guys, how are you?
I would like to ask if you also have the same "problem" with your nexus 6. First of all, I come from an OnePlus One which was very smooth . I used to run CM + Franco Kernel but even stock CM (11 or 12) run nicely on it.
Now I'm using a Nexus 6 with the stock rom and the latest version of franco kernel (r26) but, for example, when I swipe the multitasking windows, I can see clearly a lag especially with the last one. Scrolling up and down is also laggy sometimes. Are you experiencing the same? I am running without the encryption and I already tried to disable Fsync; the launcher is the Google one.
Do you have any other sugestions?
Regards,
Rafael
I had this issue on Franco kernel. I went back to stock and the lags went away and battery life almost doubled
I have small lags here and there (sometimes seconds long freezes) but that's mostly due to me messing with kernel settings, trying out custom kernels and nightly ROM builds.
where you able to find out what was causing the lag and how to fx it? im having the same issue.

@ ALL who have this problem:
i had it too, and i was thinking that i have been the only one..went crazy because i didnt find the reason for this.
Solution:
1) You need the paid version of FKU
2) Open FKU, go into "CPU Manager"
3) Go into Governor Control
4) click on "input_boost_duration"
5) Change the value to: 1000000
6) Turn the button on for set on boot (so this value will be saved and applys again after a reboot)
7) then reboot the device, and voila
explanation:
on the stock kernel there is following setting:
if you touch the display, the Cpu will stay at 1497 Mhz for 3 Seconds and thats the reason why stock is smooth!
Franco changed this value for saving battery. his standard value is 0.04 Seconds on 1497 MHz, then it goes down to 300 if the cpu dont has to handle something.
So for example: if you scroll in the settings, and the CPU frequency goes so quickly down (after the 0.04 secs) there will be stutters
and with the 7 steps i mentioned above, you change the boost duration to 1 second. This means the device will not lag, because the CPU stays for 1 sec on 1497 Mhz and the battery impact isnt that big!
Please try this out and respond to me if it helped

Turns out, most of my problems were caused by the "Deep Darkness" CM theme. Builds of BlissPop and BenzoROM would be fine for a little while and then start to screw up, getting pissed off I would boot into CleanROM which didn't have any themes applied (I use MultiROM) and everything would work as expected for hours, no lags at all! I decided to switch to another theme in BlissPop to test my theory and voila no more lag!

Nexus 6 drops to 1ghz gaming

Hey guys so I got this problem I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten it because it is a little frustrating.
OK so my nexus 6 when I game it drops to 1ghz all 4 cores. I have chroma and elementalx. I've tried turning off thermal in kernel auditor and I have used core CPU control and system monitor and it goes fine for fee few seconds then drops down to 1ghz .
Its really annoying I really wish someone could help me. Thanks I'd advance.

change how your CPU is set up(by changing your governor/scheduler), and disable mpdecision. its very simple to get your CPU to work as you want it to, just learn what the different governors and their option do.

I have it on elemental governor, I heard you need busybox for it to stick but i dont know.
Sometimes I try to change the max frequency but it just won't change, the frequency's go all over the place haha.
Do you know which kernel is best for gaming on the nexus 6 ?

elemental is fine, probably do need busybox. but it sounds as you need to disable mpdecision.
BCL driver.
Check it out HERE.
You can even follow the instructions there to disable it.
Or you can install singularity kernel and the singularity kernel app with it. Singularity kernel has a option to disable it, along with a TON of other features.
The frequency drops because the CPU ***TEMPERATURE*** gets too high. Don't mess with it unless you like instability and "random" reboots.
