Well best of luck to you then. Not sure why your going to an iphone if you "need something to mod bigtime" though. Is there that much you can do to mod an iphone? Maybe I'm just uninformed. Also, sorry, I can hijacked your thread didn't I...
Sorry i wasnt very clear as i was driving lol. But the things that i like to do most with my phones im unable to do on this droid 4. One of my older phones was the htc hd2 and ran the core cell rom which was badass. Being that d4 will never see an unlocked bootloader means that modding will be minimum. I may be misunderstanding so please correct me if im wrong.

And hijacked? No not at all. Im trying to gather as much info as possible about what my future options may be with this phone if i were to keep it. I love everything about it. Iphone has an app via cydia called udidfaker that allows certain game players to run multiple accounts from one device. Android is unable as far as i know

There isn't actually that much that can be done with an iphone. Basically you have custom themes, jailbroken apps and free apps(if you're into that kind of thing) not much else.
As a motorcyclist, seriously, don't do it. I don't care if you wind up with an iPhone or a Droid4, but I don't want to wind up on your hood.
Honestly speaking i dont text and drive. I do service work and will usually wait till my next stop to even read them much less type and drive. I was just being silly. And i too ride. So everyone plz chill.

On another note. I found a trader for my droid for their iphone 4. The iphone 4 is a 3g phone and requires a micro sim. I believe my droid also uses a micro sim so can i use my 4g micro sim in the iphone 4 which is 3g?

Yup, but don't expect for the iPhone to work on Verizon, since they don't have a 3G GSM network.

It is a verizon iphone. My question is if i can use my micro sim from my droid in the iphone 4 since it also uses micro sim. Only diff is droid sim is 4g and iphones are 3g phones. Do i have to get a new sim?
Sent from my DROID4 using xda premium
The MicroSim on the Droid is a LTE SIMcard. The SIM Slot on the iphone is only for use abroad. The iphone does not have 4G LTE capabilities. You might want to consider a new support forum to get all your questions answered on your iphone. Android power users don't like to deal with dumbphones.

Distracted driving isn't something to be silly about, it's a very serious problem in today's culture.
Did u not see where i said i dont text and drive? That i make plenty of stops in a day to not have to read or respond to my texts immediately?
Read a bit closer next time before feeling the need to open your mouth and comment on something that you dont know is true or not. I said i was being silly by saying i was a master texter. Then also said that i dont text and drive and explained why. Get with it bud!

Any ETA on when there should be a root?
No realistic way to give an ETA. A lot of determined people are working on it, it'll happen. It'd be worth the switch from tmo to verizon regardless.

So, just because the phones are completely locked down and RIL's aren't perfect to your standards. Verizon has a bad selection of phones?
I'm pretty sure there are quite of few people that will argue against that very weak point.
You are expecting way too much for technology that hasn't even come close to maturing. The android operating system is only 3 years old, as far as a consumer stand point. This technology is still fairly new.

Just something for him to complain about.
if you're going to flame at me might as well do it somewhere else, don't put it here. Everyone has their own fckng opinions and nobody asked for you to troll.
And how does my point have to do with technology maturing. I'm just saying that vz sucks because their devices are incredibly locked down, such as the d3 I'm on right now. Some of us don't have a choice because our company is tied down to a carrier.
So how am I complaining? The OP asked for an aanswer on why there are no ROMs ON THE DROID X2 AND THE DROID 3,WHICH ARE MOTO PHONES., not the selection of phones. T-Mo is obviously going to be a better route for you because you have more stock phones, such as the G2x or G2, as well as phones with unlocked/unlockable bootloader (Sensation) Your not going to get really far with Moto phones, which is WHAT HE IS LOOKING AT.
BUT
since I don't like to fight, I understand where you guys are coming from. just remember everyone has their own opinions
Cmon now lets all just hug out droids and be friends lol

Sprint has to offer something different to stay relevant.
Lost
I thought the Iphone 5 got lost and that caused delays in things?
Oh great. You can bet our data will either be limited later or worse off than it is now in terms of speed (and it's already horrible) when this stupid POS is released.
Don't all of Sprint's smartphones come with unlimited data plans? Nothing really new here except the phone.
Hopefully their network upgrades are in place soon enough to help pick up the slack...

Verizon finally replaced my revo with a bionic. I was tired of the revo screwing up so I said yes to it. Is the bionic any good? On their website it says Android 4.0 upgradable so I'm assuming I can upgrade to ICS on it or is that just for a later time?
I believe the bionic was actually a higher price point when the revo was still $199 or are they about similar phones?
The bionic is far better and has more development for it. No official ics yet though.

The only bad thing is its outdated. It was the first dual core processor phone for verizons 4G LTE that was delayed so many times. Its definetly and upgrade from the Revos hardware.

Pretty sure that's not going to happen, unless it's not really a "One" but a variant thereof. If memory serves me right, the only reason One variants with SD card slots exist (I think the ones in Asia?) is because some markets use smaller radio kits, which allowed for just enough space to cram an SD card reader in.
Well I mean, Verizon has gotten their own special variants before, so I wouldn't rule it out of the question

Neither would I, but HTC has pushed pretty damn hard on keeping the One uniform across as many markets as possible, so it's less of a tossup than previous handsets.
Last years model of the one series the Sprints Evo LTE came with a sd slot and no other did.
I would gladly pay the early termination fee, resell my phone to get my money back, and switch over to Verizion. Hell, even if there's no sdcard slot, I might switch, because I getting sick of Sprint ahha.

I think it's mostly an iPhone thing, as getting an app onto one that isn't from the app store requires sorcery. As said anyone can get it on an Android device since the apk is floating around without any sort of hack or warranty violation so I see no reason it would drive up the cost there.
