Hello All!!!
This is my first release of phenomenal kernel for gs3.
Many users know my kernel for gs2.
My goals: battery and performances. NO TOO MUCH TWEEKS!!! THERE ARE OTHERS VERY GOOD KERNEL FOR THIS.
So, for 0.1 changelog is:
Based on i9300 samsung update 1
ramdisk from stock LF2 kernel
Insicure kernel
disable various logs and debugs
Various integrated undervolting:
cpu arm : -75mv to all freq
cpu internal: -50 to all freq
bus: -50 to all freq
gpu: -50 to all freq
I want test these values.
After, I can release others phenomenal version.
However, if there are others bugs, I'll fix
As in gs2, will be: normal, medium, extreme versione, based on different voltages
IF YOU DON'T LIKE UV, DON'T USE THIS KERNEL!
EDIT: THERE WERE ERRORS IN MODULE ACTIVATION. WAIT FIXED VERSION
Thanks to simone201 for great support!
Thanks
Thanks again crack. I love you kernel is galaxy s2.

Looking over the web it seems the GPU driveres were released since we share it with the " Y" Version, can this mean the dev is to be going on now?

And as they say, drivers are shown if you type GT-S5360 here http://opensource.samsung.com/index.jsp
Edit: Didn't see this topic was already out, feel free to delete admins, i'm sorry.

To rapidly support a wide range of devices, our architecture reuses some of the drivers and hardware enablement available for Android.
As a consequence, at the current images you'll find some of the Android services running at the device, and the Ubuntu filesystem living separately, inside a container.
For quick reference, these are the current components used from Android:
Linux Kernel (stock Android kernel provided by the vendor, with a few changes to support some extra features needed by Ubuntu)
OpenGL ES2.0 HAL and drivers
Audio/Media HAL and services, to re-use the hardware video decoders
RILD for modem support
As Ubuntu is running in a separated container on top of an Android kernel and services, the communication between them happens via Binder, Sockets and libhybris.
Other than the very basic services (needed to re-use the binary blobs already available), the rest is just pure Ubuntu goodness

I'm working on it... But the servers are very slow...
When It's finished I'll post it to this forum!
But where should I post it? In Android Development or in General?
See You!

Hi guys, so i wanna ask to some devs if its an option to build a custom kernel that allows change the Governors to tge most used
I think the battery problem of Jellybean its because Motorola change the governor to interactive, (on ics was ondemand)
So, its possible? Or its difficult enough like build a complete rom?

Hello,
I'm on CM 10.1 with werewolf JB kernel.
My question: Is it possible to overclock the CPU without another kernel up to 1700 ~ 1750 MHz?
Best regards!

I think the werewolf kernel currently doesn't support overclocking.
It is the kernel, and if the kernel doesn't support it, it won't work. But I think the dev of that kernel will implement it some time

yes, OC isn't supported yet. but it is also not a point of high priority for me tho. 1.5GHz is quite a lot, so GPU is more important for now, as well as I/O schedulers. but i will implement it.
BTW, you actually don't need a OC-able kernel for overclocking it is possible to compile a module, that "unmounts" the clockspeed module and "mounts" its own one, which is overclockable but therefore you need to be a real expert
FD1999 said:
Lol I never built my own kernel, you are the expert here

expert?! i'm definitely no expert but i do have the ability to read stuff, i don't know
as an example: OC module from the sony ericsson xperia X8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020313
I use Abyssplug and SIO, but I want to hear opinions about the combination that helps at most the battery life but keeps a good performance. Thanks in advance

For CM 10.2 Maclaw rom, Abyssplug & SIO is the best combination.. Otherwise, for others roms Abys & sio don't work better after my test on Slimbean & Pac !
i use now hotplug & noop for Pac 4.3 is slightly more better than Abyss & SIO..
If there's a combination that work good on PAC 4.3, please let me know
