Anyone that's interested the six axis controller app has been updated and the compatability checker says it works on our phone now.
I have to leave for work soon so can't connect a controller to check for sure but figured people might want to know.

Yeah, it split and theres a seperate section. Try un-favoriting epic 4g then add it again it should fix it.
Yeah epic is supported. I wonder if the analog sticks work

Works great! Playing MGS right now.
I'm using the Bypass IME setting and just set all the keys in FPSE/Sixaxis Controller, not sure if there is another way but this way seems to work fine.
I'm on Bonsai B16 - EH06.
I'm on EH17. This works for me.
I played Mario Kart 64 last night with my SixAxis controller. I haven't looked into getting the analog sticks working yet, but it's already infinitely better for complicated games then the Wii Remote. All the buttons and triggers worked for me, without issues. (I haven't tested trigger's analog ability.)
Easy-as-Pie Instructions: (Also found on the developer's website, where the PC pair program is.)
Run compatibility checker.
Buy SixAxis Controller.
Download program to set the controller's master Bluetooth MAC address. (It's found at the bottom of either app on your phone.)
Load up and start the SixAxis app.
Enable the SixAxis input method.
Change input method to SixAxis. (Note: Change it back to Swype/whatever when you're done.)
Go into the game your playing and setup the controls.
Game like a boss!
Update (11/2/2011):
I tried the nubernel-2.6.35_v0.0.0 kernel, and my PS3 SixAxis stopped working and would force close some stuff. I'll be commenting on the thread after this edit.
Works for me. On EH17
I already had this working on my bionic but the speaker and screen quality are WAY better on my epic
Doesnt work with ec05 sfr 1.2. using twilight zone kernal

Now running preroot deodexed gps fix no ciq with ei22 and it force closes the compatibility checker as if it is shutting the phone off. If anyone has any input on how to get this thing synced. I would be most appreciative. Can't get wiimote either.

It won't let me download it from the market... even when i went through app brain once I got to the android market app it said device not compatible.
Did you guys trick it into thinking your device was compatible?
GTA III costs a few bucks but worth it ran flawless on my bolt. The game it self does a check before starting to make sure your rom and ram is ok if not black screen is all you will see. Most people have the tendency to open the app and get the black screen easy fix just close any other running service you dont need then free up some ram, go back and should work if not close out open again 3rd times the charm I always say. And for capadable device it wasnt tested for the thunderbolt after I beat the game I messaged the rockstar guys basically saying a thumbs up for the thunderbolt.
Does it control similarly to the Gameloft Modern Combat/Nova games? I just picked those up and am starting to become a believer in touchscreen FPS/action games.

Downloading now. Going to try to flash it on Stock ICS (De-Odexed, Zipaligned, rooted) on a AT&T HTC Vivid. Will let you know how it goes. May take a while because I am going to do a backup first. I play Star Wars The Old Republic and use a mobile authenticator and the only way to restore it is to call them and answer a bunch of security crap then have them remove it so you can reinstall the app and re-add it to your account with a new serial number, so I'm not going to flash ANY new roms until there's a JB ROM (or, my 90 day return policy on my Vivid gets close to running out and there's no JB in sight.. then I'm switching to the One X since it's only $50 more)
---------- Post added at 04:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:48 AM ----------
Okay, it works. Well, except for the double take. I'm pretty sure that's been fixed in other versions, but I don't know if those work on the vivid.
I thought the voice didn't work at first because it would do the beep to let me know it was listening, and the chime when it found results but no voice. Turns out, the beep and chime use alert/notification volume while the voice uses media volume which I had turned all the way down.
So yeah, this works with rooted stock perfectly except for double take and saying "Google"instead of pressing the Mic

....and there goes my only reason for wanting JB. Literally for Google Now. Between this and all of the ICS-themed stuff out there, I have a perfect mix. ICS launcher (Apex), Sense 3.6 apps (peep, friend stream, etc) ICS Dialer, Calculations (what the stock ICS calculator SHOULD have been), Sense Weather, and GOOGLE NOW!
This phone already runs smooth as silk, so the only feature I was willing to abandon it for was the Siri-Stomping Google Now goodness.

This is awesome! It seems to work really well. Voice search and response seems to work just great! Only "issue" so far is that the responses give units of measure in Imperial, and being from Canada, I expect metric. This isn't an issue with the port, just with Now itself I guess.
Anyway, love it! Thanks for the hard work of all Devs involved!
PS - I flashed on Holics 1.2 using CWM.

Just FYI - this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224) thread has had a lot more progress (and is also the thread that was featured on the front page (http://www.xda-developers.com/android/google-now-with-voice-search-finally-working-on-ics/) on 8/5..don't know why another thread was needed. Look at this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29756226&postcount=2856) post for instructions and flashable zips, and don't forget to check out the FAQ's (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DRq_ElLZxbTIlZ873rjSIg-p1AVfXx0QnTK2RTHOyCE)
And for anyone who wants to try it, here is our services.jar modified as per mikeyxda's suggestion here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30253248&highlight=processrecord+smali#post30253248)
Back up FIRST! then flash away (this was built from a stock ROM's services.jar so I don't know if it will work on others. Your ROM must be deodexed.)

Has there been a version released yet where the search results scrolling doesn't stop dead, with no follow-through? Waiting for that to get fixed before I try it again -- it drove me crazy.
Go into System Settings--->More--->Security--->Device Administrators and check to see if you have the new "Android Device Manager". I just got it today, never got notified of an update or anything... it just *appeared* there outta nowhere lol.
Here is a link to show you what it can do.
It is what it says it is, you can manage your device if it gets stolen or lost and remotely wipe it from the comfort of your own home/computer. There are a lot of 3rd party apps that do this (both paid and free) but it's always nice to see Google integrate this into our devices!
there for me as well, never look there so idk for how long/when.
Holy shizzz! Thanks a ton for this contribution. Never realized it or heard of it.

thats the thing, it depends on remotely going into stock recovery to wipe the device, us rooted users may not be able to wipe

The only way this works is if you keep data on. If you turn it off for whatever reason this service is pretty much null and void since you need an active data signal for this to work.
Does not work for me. Rooted/rebooted and I have the function, but it will not find my phone, ring, etc. I'll keep trying.
i have two phones and both appear on google play but it will only allow me to probe the first phone. changed the "visibility" to "show in menus" setting on google play, didn't make a difference.
edit: found this but i don't have that arrow option to select the other phone. anyone else?
Setting works on both our SGS4's. One rooted stock, one stock. Obviously didn't try wipe. TWRP on rooted so I'm sure it wouldn't work anyway. Nice feature, but you still can't beat Cerberus!
