You need to flash the RUU that corresponds to your CID..
7d5, Google says you need the Asia WWE.

How to find your RUU
Goto /system/customize directory on your phone using any file explorer like Astro, Es File Explorer or Root Explorer and look at the file AAInfo.txt

thank you
how can i change S-ON to S-OFF. I want to change CID:T-MOB010 to middle east CID so that i can istall officail Arabic ROM.
You can't get S-OFF at the minute, but a couple of the roms have arabic support on them... BinDroid and ANDTopix
so it's a must that S-ON to be changed to S-OFF if i want to change the CID
No chance to get S-Off per CID....
Bootloader unlock in HTC.DEV!!!
So, you can root and get CWM, then you can arabic supported Roms...
Moved to general as not android development.

Hey ppl. I am from India so can I flash this? I checked on google but found no official ICS update. Is the one posted by Football the official one?

Yes the most recent one posted by football is an official RUU.
I tried flashing the official one by renaming it to pg32img.zip but it says installation aborted. I did it through rom manager though. Any suggestions

Of course you guys CAN NOT! Even if you're supercid you CAN NOT!
First you need to install this RUU: RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTCCN_CHS_3.09.1400.7_Radio_20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M_release_237362_signed
Second you can run this RUU, and only then:
OTA-VIVO-ICS-35-S-HTCCN-CHS-4.08.1400.2-3.09.1400.7-release-264230rsi8pgoc0lc0k4xe.zip
Third and only at last you can run this RUU:
OTA_VIVO_ICS_35_S_HTCCN_CHS_4.08.1400.3-4.08.1400.2_release_264573gxkspn0rakg03dic.zip
ONLY then and only then you got the latest full stock and official HTC ICS ROM for now. And yes, maybe you need supercid to install the first RUU, cause it's meant for Chinese devices with Chinese cidnums.

Upgrade IncS to ICS via HTCDev website

I am using an incredible s on Virgin Mobile Canada. I am being told that this device is not being updated to Android 4.0. Instead, HTC told me to go to htcdev[dot]com/devcenter/downloads to download the operating system. I have a couple questions;
1. What region do I use; TW, WWE, AU, TUR, SPA, HK CHT, CN CHS, etc. ?
2. What description number; 4.08.1400.5, 4.14.980.2, 4.10.708.1, etc. ?
And most importantly,
3. How do I do install the new operating system on my phone?
Would be a great help! Thanks! :cyclops:

Thanks, But on the HTCDev site there is only a CRC. Is this the same? Will it update to ICS? If not, can I use an RUU for another device instead?
and is it possible to do on a mac via the htcdev website?
and does the phone need to be rooted?

Virgin Mobile gave you bad information. At the HTCDEV.com site, you will only find the kernel source code for the devices. HTC no longer has a public download site where you can download the actual RUU (ROM Update Utility).
You need to go to the Development section and look at the "Shipped ROMs" sticky thread. There you will find a link to a site that has several RUU's for the IncS. You probably want to get the ICS WWE 4.10.405.1 RUU.
Upgrade, deregionalise without GoldCard?
QUOTING FROM THE DEVELOPMENT THREAD (I'm not allowed to post there):
Default HTC releases 3 ICS RUU on HTCDEV.com
HTC has posted 3 Incredible S ICS RUUs on [htcdev]
All 3 are labeled 4.14.405.2 and when I examined the N.American/Canadian version here is what I found:
1. android-info.txt lists all IncS modelids and has wildcards for most CID. This means that this RUU is generic and probably could be used on any IncS WITHOUT the need for a goldcard.
2. HBOOT version is now 2.03.
3. A newer radio is included.
ENDQUOTE.
Thanks for this, I've been reading the forums for two days now trying to figure out what the best way to upgrade my Incredible S is. This looks like it might be it, but I would like to make sure -- any advice is appreciated.
I am using an Incredible S from Virgin Mobile Canada. It is running the stock Android 2.3.3 OTA update from August 2011. I left Canada and paid to have Virgin SIM unlock the phone. Since then I have never seen another operating system update notification, I assume because I am now decoupled from Virgin's update server or some such.
The phone is S-ON and that's fine, I do not need anything fancy or custom, at least for now. I would just like my phone to receive stock HTC Incredible S upgrades -- I know there is one for 2.3.5 which I hear is quite good.
I spent last night making a GoldCard -- but now, as your post makes clear, it looks like there is a stock Android 4 RUU that will upgrade my phone and de-regionalise it. Does this sound right? I have downloaded the RUU you linked (they list 3, but I think it's all the same file, which is encouraging since I want it de-regionalised), and I'll hunt down a Windows machine to run it if indeed this is what I want.
Two further questions:
How best to backup the phone? I've seen apps like Titanium but it looks like the phone needs to be rooted. Is it really possible to revert back to 2.3.3 afterwards? From what I'm seeing it looks as though downgrading can be as hard as upgrading.
Do we know if this release of Android 4 is really better than 2.3.5? If it's still buggy, perhaps using the GoldCard and 2.3.5 would be worth it.
Thanks very much.
I understood that your phone is s-on, but do you still have warranty to force you to stay, or you want to try to s-off? I'm asking you this cause if you s-off your device you'll have a wide range of possibilities for roms without need to make a gold card or use RUUs, even with Revolutionary hboot. Also, returning back to s-on from Revolutionary s-off is not hard at all.

The posts above yours were made before HTC posted official ICS RUU's on htcdev.com
[edit] Just noticed all the ICS RUU links on htcdev point to the same file, so there's a good chance you'll be fine.

All ICS RUUs on htcdev are the same, so it's one RUU made for all versions of IncS.

Thanks for the replies.
Regarding S-OFF, I will certainly think about that in the future; for now I'm happy with just sticking to the official HTC upgrades and see how I like it.
I agree that this new ICS RUU from htcdev looks like it will work straight out of the box, as it were. Only my two final questions remain:
1. How best to backup the phone?
2. Is ICS going to run slowly/buggily on my Incredible S (now an older phone)? I suppose the only way to be sure is to try it...
Thanks again.

There have been complaints of ICS running slowly on IncS, that is with the official release, however many custom roms are lightning fast..

This is the file I used to upgrade my incs to ICS: http://dl4.htc.com/RomCode/Source_and_Binaries/One_Generic_code_Vivo.zip
I'm on Bell Canada, the above file is a generic Canadian ROM. You'll be missing the Virgin bloatware, but if you need it, you can get it from the Google Play Store.
How are you finding it runs, noticeably better or worse than Gingerbread?
Thanks.

orang0001 cid help

hi
want to debrand my fw to Europe stock or ww stock to get latest updates ect
im on cid -orang0001
fw- 1.28.61.7
any help please
S-off needed but not sure it will help, I heard something you will be not able change cid, but that might be just rumors
Sent from my HTC One X+ using XDA Premium App
You cant debrand it unless your s-off, which you wont be on that cid.
But you can unlock the bootloader, flash cwm and install a generic rom, which is pretty much the same. You`ll have no orange crap on it. And you`ll have the latest updates, roms are updated within a few days, sometimes before.
If you want to use another sim other than orange, call orange and get the unlock code.
