Hi All,
Need some help - I've been working more on CDMA phones b/c of sprint, and just flashed my friends captivate (att), but after the flash, have no data or cell service. (I flashed cwm recovery with odin, and then was able to get miui 2.8.3 onto the phone.)
Not sure how to get the cell signal to work, or what needs to be done to get things back to good ...
I see things about flashing back to stock, and then restarting - and i'm lost with the modem files, nothing of them are working so far, but I feel good about it....

Apn settings need to be reset to default... Go to Settings/ Wireless and network/ Mobile networks/ Access Point Names then hit capacitve menu button then "Reset to default".
And if that doesn't work, u probably need to flash an appropriate modem.

Also you can try entering the APN yourself. Just Google the name of your network, and apn. You should find the info you need to create a new apn.

...well......just like the tittle says....is it possible to flash the radio on the bionic under stock ICS???
Reason I ask, is because it might be the reason I cannot for the life of me get the bionic working on another CDMA carrier and have it up and running on 3G.
I believe maybe the radio has a part in that.....!?!?!?
I am trying to get it up and running on a non US CDMA carrier. I actually had the razr working with out problems and would only pick up 3G on CDMA if the verizon sim card was in the phone, otherwise voice but no 3G. I had a droidx running untill the last update that got a new radio and my 3G died. I also have done a razr , a photon, and a droid x2.....not saying I am a guru, but just saying I have had my share of getting phones up and running, and never had any headaches like I have had with his one.....I only get voice but no 3G. I even go to *#*#4636... and will pick up both 1X and 3G strong signals but will NOT connect.
So figured the radio could be the culprit...
Any input will be welcomed.
P.S. I have followed several guides for other carriers and same result on all, voice ad no 3G.
Have you been entering the proper APN's for the other CDMA carrier? The symptoms you're describing are a classic symptom of the device not having the APN's set correctly. ##PROGRAM in the dialer should help you.
If you believe the radio is corrupted for some reason, you can reflash it to make sure there aren't any issues. Just grab the FXZ file for ICS, and make sure you have fastboot.exe available from the Android SDK. Reboot the Bionic into fastboot mode. Make sure that the radio file is in the same folder as fastboot.exe. Then just type in 'fastboot flash radio radio.img' and then you'll have a brand new reflashed radio to start tinkering with.

APN???? in CDMA??? Could you please explain a little??? I believed apn's where only used for gsm. But then again, I could be wrong....
Since I did not find any posts regarding radio flashing, do you know where I could find older radio files for the bionic, as I have not seen anything.
I am on ICS and would like to flash the GB radio if possible......(if possible)
Thanks!
Im currently running Android Revolution 41 ROM, 4.4 Kitkat with firmware 4.06.1540.3 drivers. Im unable to connect to my GSM cell network. Manual searching shows network but wont connect. The sim works perfectly in another phone. I cant figure out why this is happening. Please help.
Make sure your APN is entered exactly as it should. A single . or - out of place will get you no data.
Did it work on stock firmware? Blacklisted IMEI?
If you just flashed the rom maybe the APN got deleted. Happened to me when I flashed ARHD, just re enter your APN, if you don't know it a simple call to your carrier or even google will do fine.
was messing around with the advance signal status and messed up my verizon Droid Turbo. I went into additional info > phone information and selected the" select radio radio" option from the top right option menu. Selected on cellular and all network connectivity vanished. I tried to fix the issue with messing about with other settings on the app, nothing seemed to work. Did a factory reset and its still not showing any networks on global mode or any other mode. Can anyone please help me out with this? The phone isn't rooted so i don't know an app could mess things up this badly
What are some things you messed with? Was it just changing the CDMA and lte setting?

happens to me too and was the only solution
u must flash the radio from Droid turbo
if doesn t work flash the all firmware
can't flash any firmware on this as its not rooted nor is there a bootloader unlock for the droid turbo as of yet. Only thing i did was go additional info > Phone information > select radio band > Cellular
Could not rever back to original settings after that. I have tried a lot of other apps as well, changed from global to lte/wcdma, gsm modes too.
Maybe the app developer can help you, although it says that is not meant to be used on non rooted phones.

u can flash the original radio without root o bl unlocked
and the firmware too
Idk of this will work because it's the older firmware for this phone but try flashing it then updating back to the current firmware. Worth a shot!

Hey Guys ! . Dont worry if u select radio band to cellular. Here i give u solution .
If ur mobile is verizon
then simply connect your phone with pc with data cable , then install software of verizon update assistant by clicking on a drive showing in My computer and also enable the option of software installation from your mobile .
Next step is opening the program verizon assistant.
Here u have to run the repair process.
this take 5-10 minutes.
After 10 minutes your mobile will reboot automatically.
and U will get your signals back ... Comment if this help u.

g870a on g870aucs2cpb5, no network mode in mobile network settings, appears to be stuck in CDMA (won't get service with a gsm sim but connects to cdma network). Can't change mode because the setting isn't there anymore. Reads the sim, imei valid. Completely stuck here. I was going to flash it via Odin but the only file I can find is the NE4 and I don't know if this can roll back that far (5.1.1 to 4.4.2??). I know there's a code in that build number that shows whether its locked to prevent downgrades but can't remember which digit it it. Any help or ideas??
EDIT: Found the number...
G870AUCS2CPB5 > 2
G870AUCU1ANE4 > 1
Can't roll back to NE4. Any odin flashable files anywhere that are compatible??? I've looked everywhere and can't find one.
