I've tried to port the latest 2.6.22, some interesting new features for Miuiv4 but it seems it's the worst release by xiaomi, many bugs in there specially on root permission even after override with other root apps, so I've decided to just share my first ics port.
Almost no modification, it's a clean port, without customization.
MIUIv4 is still in the road to the stable one and this is just a stopover.

Some basic functions are working.
How to flash:
1. if came from 2.6.32.x kernel base rom, you've to flash andro-ID RC3 romor Sharp rom first, because it's based on 2.6.35. kernel.
2. Use CWM to flash it
3. You have to wipe data partition if came from another rom, except if you will upgrade from another Miuiv4.
4. After got first home screen, Reboot again.
The first boot will take soooo loong..... next boot will go faster.

There is an EXTRA 30MBs unusable in it.... Ok, I'll upload another one, DON't flash that fatty file, it won't work . I't will be took so long again, my internet connection is bad now.

Yes because CK port from official from miui v4 and this rom include the gapps..

Yes... I could be missed click when I made it, it has no boot.img but testfolder exist in it... It won't boot at all if you flash it. Sorry!!!

lol... I'm bad on file manage... Even some important folders got deleted by accident.
You should reboot again after the home screen shown at the first time, as usual.
Actually I like the new features on 2.6.22. they said xiaomi will fix root issue next week.
I'm still uploading the more thin file. You can download it again if you want to but you will feel no different result .

Awesome dude. keep us updated on whats working and whats not.....
I always loved MIUI interface but later dropped the idea of updating to MIUI roms bcz they were said to corrupt SD cards.... any comments about nature of MIUI v4???

yeah true bro. My SD card failed recently when i was on 2.4.6 miui. But it doesn't happen to all phones you know.... I heard a lot of people not having any problems, but still I got screwed
but still that wont stop me from trying out MIUI v4

Take Note that this is not a ROM issue.
HOW TO ::
Wipe your Cache first .. then Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
JUST ONE STEP and you are done :: To Flash, the zip file needs to be copied to root of your SD card and flashed from recovery.
You can also use ROM Manager.
Step by Step guide for Beginners
Copy the zip file to the root of your SD card.
Power off your phone.
Now press the down volume button and power on the phone.
Now wait for few seconds and when phone finishes checking SD card, Press down volume, now recovery is highlighted Now select recovery(go into recovery) by pressing power button with recovery highlighted.
In the recovery menu the optical track button works. So now choose the option Wipe your Cache, first .. then Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
Now Install zip from SD card using the track button and select by pressing the track button.>> Now choose the zip file to install i.e SUnAaBh v1.1
Wait for a few seconds may be a minute and done ..reboot the phone it will then flash a new radio image.
Again phone will auto reboot :: give it sometime the first boot takes a little time::: 5 to 10 minutes.
Your new Rom is installed and ready to use. go through the initial setup.

Dude i just checked it .. scroll down and u will find hebrew in initial setup screen after flash.. if u have already flashed this rom go to Menu>all apps> there is an app called setup with icon like magician's hat click on that and change ur language to hebrew..

Updated Market to ICS version. Updated Maps, GMail, VoiceSearch, SuperUser, Flash Player 11, etc. (nothing should have to be updated after install). ClockQ has been added for those that don't like that big azzed Weather clock (like myself), go into Apps, configure your clock, and add it as a widget to your home screen.
Battery indicator with 1% increments, full color signal strength meter, etc.

I have flashed about 20 ROMs and, I have to say, yours is a beauty. I love all the color, the fly-aways and how fast it is. Do you live in an Ice Fortress by any chance?
I am thinking of trying tiny's 12/01/11 kernel but I definitely don't want to "hurt" your ROM at all.

Tinys newest makes it smokin fast, but needs the power menu, the one from the other roms will not work, unless i did something wrong. I really like having multiple boot options, and this rom is lacking that. Other than that, it may be the fastest rom ive ever used, and i didnt even oc it. Helluva rom.

I was just wondering if you knew why I can't get the image to load past the HTC Incredible screen. I can load SR4.2, GingerSense and a multitude of others, however this one seems to just hang.
Running fast for me as well! Excellent Rom! I may try Tiny's latest, but I don't really want to mess with it. lol!

Just make a back up as it is right now, then try tiny's kernel. Backups will save the kernel you're using, so you can always revert back.

Just did this! Flashing now! Are you running an overclock app like setcpu with it or just the kernel itself? If you are running an app I have always wondered about settings and stuff (what to set it at). Any insight or tips?

This sounds like a wiping issue.
1) Reboot into CWM
2) Choose wipe data/factory reset
3) Go into mounts and storage and format boot, then format system
4) Flash rom

Full instructions for wiping, formatting, and installing are in the OP. if you follow them you'll not experience your problem

Reason(s) why it will work
1. Its android so its possible to port the files by changing somethings in the system framwork/lib/ Boot and kernel, but to let this work it first have to be ported to work with the samsung chip, HTC One X has a tegra chip and that was friendly for the sg3 so porting would be a lot more easier.

Is the issue of Bootloop when turning on the GPS resolved in this ROM?
Also, in the Screenshots above the ROM version shows as 4.2.2. Is this the correct screenshot?
Installed However......
Install went ok. Got stuck in boot screen the first time around then reinstalled a second time and it booted fine. Did not install gapps yet. Right now I see no access to system settings via icon in apps drawer or via menu. Ech install I've done full wipes.

For the screenshot, just meant to give you an idea of how it looks. I have no bootloop issues with gps turned on just not work and nothing more.

As for all the tests I have been able to do with gps, if it doesn't bootloop when turned on, it does tend to try to run in in the background. So I recommend that you just turn it off then reboot. That way it doesn't even try to run (take up resources).

Found a the setting issue, creating a fix for it, had to do with the second port, the first one works well, will upload the fix soon.

first thing that happens setup has crashed
EDIT" went to flash setup fix but cant download can you upload to the xda server?
i bypassed it when i found that if i saved settings_fix.zip to my files on mediafire it would then download and i found a bug with the dock icons not wanting to stay if moved
This ROM is amazing, but I keep getting FCs. com.google.gapps or something like that FCs almost every thirty minutes and com.google.location or something like that FCs about every two hours. Could it be the gapps package, or is it the rom?

I am currently working on the latest Version of my ROM along the 4.1.2 ROM Series
I will be trying to get this release even smoother and faster!
Working very closely to remove unrequired LIB and ETC Files, I am now working on functionality and using the DEV DB thread please feel free to add feature requests and also add any bugs you find into the Bug Reports area so that i can
work on resolving the problems !
Also please ensure you submit detailed reviews about the ROM and Features !
I have also uploaded Screenshots of how my ROM Looks !

I have a bit of a problem doing that because i never backed up my EFS Partition before going to the 4.1.2 EMG4 Modem !
Because im a little bit silly !
Please, post the livewallpaper.apk. May be it's not a big deal for you, but I'm using WP wallpaper to show clock, alarm etc in compact and eye candy way ... and I'm missing that functionality.

It won't work on 4.2.2 v1. I ran that ROM for a long time and tried a number of live wall paper apps, even extracting one from another samsung 4.2.2. It simply crashes. I recommend you switch to the 4.1.2 v2. There isnt much more the 4.2.2 can offer. OR u can just wait for 4.3 should be out this month

Backup your EFS with EFS Pro.
I've tried it and it works without problems.
In case you still have problems, flash one of these base-bands that support the new EFS partition CLICK
I'm using one of them with your Reviva 4.2.2 ROM

Make the statusbar icons and toggles white, like in the 4.2.2 version.
It looks cleaner,better and more KitKat-ish
Or the stock green samsung toggles would be awesome . Doubt we could get 4.2.2 white S-planner on 4.1.2. Can't say that i have any problems with it. The ROM is awesome
Work has started on the 4.3 version of my ROM !
Quite impressed so far! I have rooted and zipaligned everything so far and cut the normal apps back down!
So tomorrow ill upload it early morninh !

I hope the file is less than 500 MB. I like a rom without all bloatwares. All including Samsung's and Google's. RevivaRom is promising, I like it.
AOSP can't be my daily driver since the camera shot is not as good as the stock Samsung cam. So the only option is Samsung rom, but without all the bloatwares. (AOSP-smooth and better camera app ==> best of both worlds)

On average my ROMS are always smaller than 500mb !
Only problem with the upcoming release is I am currently struggling to theme it so that might have to wait for v2 for theming !

Yeah, bring it on! haha
One question though: is this rom using stock Samsung theme or is it themed heavily with that glorious #33b5e5 HOLO Blue? I like a rom that follows the theme of the original rom (which is what the manufacturer want users to use). If I want to see the glorious HOLO blue, I'd flash an AOSP rom.
If it is indeed themed, I hope there's a way to use the stock Samsung theme (even though I personally dislike it, but I had to have it for the sake of UI consistency)

Lol, this time I'm quite impressed with 4.1.2 version 2 ? Have user 4.2.2 so far and it was very responsive, but with no Live Wallpaper. Tried Wanam, but was bit laggy. 4.1.2 v2 is not 100% stable, but what a battery ! Hope not to degraded ! And hope 4,3 will be at least as good. Very nice job ! Your rom is so good, that I'm afraid to try Wanam 4.3.
